Review 1：Close to town but not in middle of craziness. Mini Spa with steam and dry sauna was great after hiking. Fabulous breakfast and our dinner there was very good! We used the chairlift at either end of town to enjoy great hiking. All staff friendly and helpful.

Review 4：The hotel's website states that their restaurant serves schweinehaxen on Tuesdays and that you need to special order it. I called to order some for our party and was yelled at and told, "NO! It's NOT possible!" If you don't want to serve a dish, then don't advertise it on your website!

Review 8：Amazing place and take this from two ex Buckingham Palace officials. This is where you go to see the Real Germany. The stunning hostess was so polite and helpful with our family and the cuisine was fantastic. Had my window wide open at night in July and fell asleep listening to the stream flow past. Proper beer, proper rooms, proper service and a great price.

Review 9：Family run clean and pleasant hotel, hotel is located at the top of the picturesque town close to the swimming pool. The town is beautiful with plenty of restaurants and pubs to eat in. The hotel Anika has a very good food menu and the select menus one and two are very good value for money and also tasty. We will stay at this hotel again. Our balcony overlooked the Alps which was lovely to sit and look at at the end of the day.

It sounds strange and they said it was the procedure, buy the way, when I left the hotel, there were other nationality colleges paying their room. Is it a problem of nationalities???!!! or because we reserved via booking??!

Review 15：No fan available (36 degrees) with no AC in any of the rooms. Single Room extremely small for €85 per night , colleagues of mine stayed in the town itself for 45-60 and it was a double room.

Review 16：Upon arrival, the receptionist was chatting with a colleague.. Both behaved like we were invisible, not a word of hallo! After confronting them, they came with a very bad attitude.

Review 18：Unfortunately, the owner of the hotel is neither professional, nor friendly. I experienced this in two different occasions. - Firstly, at my arrival, I was given a room with lesser value than the one I paid. When I realized it, 2 days after, the owner admitted that they mixed the names, but she insisted that I should persuade the other person to change rooms, because "we were speaking the same language"! This is certainly not my job, but I had to discuss it with her for 30 min, before she finally agreed that this is her job. - Secondly, one night, 2 days before my departure, I happened to forget the key of my room. Nobody is at the reception during the evenings, and I had to ring the bell. She came from her house nearby and, although I said to her that I was sorry, she was yelling, cursing and saying loudly unspeakable things for about 15 minutes, and threatening that we will talk more about this tomorrow. - I didn’t come to Oberammergau to fight, and certainly she ruined my good mood. If they don’t want to pay someone to sleep at the reception during the nights, although the rooms are not cheap, they should have a plan B, because people may forget their keys sometimes. - Plus, the internet is too slow, almost not working.

Review 33：We spent Christmas here and had a fabulous stay. Kitchen staff were excellent and very accommodating- allowed us in early for breakfast on the morning we were leaving. Rooms felt very luxurious. Walking distance to town. Special Christmas dinner in the restaurant and also complementary coffee and cake in the afternoon on Christmas Eve.

Review 38：Very spacious and cosy rooms. Very nice spa. Quiet location with about 5 min easy walk to the centre of the village. The large local public swimming centre is also in walking distance. Wonderful breakfast buffet. The food from the restaurant for dinner is plainly fantastic. Very generous portions, typical dishes from the area, but also excellent steak and standards. Far above average and truly supreme quality. We spent a few days at the hotel and enjoyed it very much as a starting point for walks in the mountains.

Review 43：The only thing I was not happy about was my communication with the hotel prior to my arrival, particularly with one man. I needed to do some individual arrangements (arrival outside check-in hours) and I sent to the hotel 2 emails and also an iquiry via their web page announcing this fact but without any response, which was not a big deal so far. So I decided to call them. I expect the hotel to tell me that there is no problem about my late arrival and they come up simple solution. BUT despite my positive expaction I received the answer from that man, that arrival outside check-in time is not possible, literally saying "we are not a five star hotel" and other "no comment" stuff. At the end he said something about some of possibility and promised me to send me an email with the instructions where he will leave the key for me. Didn't send anything. I decided to cancell the reservation and go to another hotel but unfortunatelly it was too late for free cancellation. Right in the morning of my arrival day I called them again to reassure that I can come. Bad luck for me becuse the same man picked up the phone again but immediately after he recognized who he must deal with passed the phone to very nice and polite lady - very likely owner of the hotel. She assured me that there is absolutely no problem to come so late and eventually we arranged everything smoothly and finaly the stay in this hotel was very good and I can recommend you to go there but try to speak to a lady if you need to arrange anything unusual. That man is not doing a good reputation to the hotel which beside of this is really nice to stay in.

Review 95：This hotel is very different from our last stay at Christmas time. Theperson who owns the hotel.... Is also the chef. Unlike the pleasantexperience we had before where the manager welcomed us with beer andwine at the cozy table in the entrance, the owner is rude, barely looksat you when you speak to him. We waited 2 hour for dinner onFather's Day, with my 85 year old parents. They had 1 waitress. Whenwe complained, the owner said, "this is common in Europe". Itravel all over Europe, and this is not common, it is bad service! Myadvice... Hire your staff back.

Review 96：Hi. So the location is Suberb if you are a student at the NSO. If you wish to be "Down Town " O'gau, this is not for you. I liked the place a lot. For internet connection please do remember to bring your own "cable" or ask for it at the reception. The "WI-FI" is really not working. With the cable, like a charm

Review 97：Had an amazing stay over Christmas. The staff were all very friendly and the food was delicious - very large portions too. Our room was small but very comfortable. The town is only a short walk away (10-15 minutes)and there's a path behind the hotel which runs along a stream, leading both into town and out towards Laber Mountain. Would definitely stay here again.
