Reviews for Parador de Cambados
Review 1:Liked almost everything. Maybe the restaurant and food could have been more interesting but nothing was wrong with it.
Review 2:Pleasant parador in a good location. Good rooms and very helpful staff
Review 3:We had dinner there one night and were disappointed. The menu is restricted and confusing.
Review 4:Very comfortable, lovely room. Good reception area and public rooms and great situation
Review 5:When we (the older couple) wanted to extend our stay, there was a problem. The receptionist told us that it was not possible, because the hotel was full. I insisted and explained that by that point we already paid for 22 nights (2 room) which amount to thousands of Euros, and I had felt that I deserved a better service. At that point the woman in charge of the hotel interfered, and the problem was solved and we could stay in our room for an extra night. From very bitter we came out very happy, thanks to the boss of the hotel. I always believe that the impossible is possible, and that was prove again!
Review 6:We stayed at the Parador of Cambados 11 nights - a couple with two grownups children and a grandson. The facility and all services were great! The location is fantastic. You just cross one street and you are at the sea. There was a problem to find an extra bed for my grandson which was solved very quickly by the staff/ Great!!
Review 7:There was a mix up with my particular requirements that seemed not to have been passed on such as a quiet room and soft pillows. This was quickly put right. The menu and the quality of the evening meal was mediocre and you got better value for money eating outside the parador.
Review 8:The situation of the parador is excellent for site seeing without the crowds of tourists. if you love eating fish, then this is the place to stay. The staff at the parador were always ready to help.
Review 9:I would have expected breakfast to be included in a premium brand chain of hotels.
Review 10:The relaxed, friendly yet efficient staff. The location was perfect for our stay. The centre of the village with shops and bars were easily accessible on foot.
Review 11:There was a pool outside but it was not open until June 1st!! The meny was the same during three days and was not so interesting. Expect more typical dishes.
Review 12:The whole property with the large room, several nice social areas, a nice patio. Situated in the old part in town and you can see the sea. The winelist was good with several choiches of Albarino wines. Guarded car parking.
Review 13:Despite advertising A/C the hotel had disconnected the central system. Therefore the night time temperature in the bedrooms was too warm for comfort, and it was impossible to sleep with the windows open because of street noise. Most unsatisfactory for a hotel of this standard.
Review 14:Very convenient location, and secure parking directly in front of the hotel building. Nice public rooms and spacious, well furnished bedrooms.
Review 15:Central location. Free bike hire for two days. Anyone taking this option should visit the fishing port itself and absorb what is going on.Room lovely, spacious and quiet.
Review 16:Breakfast if not included was very expensive and not value for money
Review 17:Location, bed comfort, pool (with lifeguard) and bathroom all fantastic. I would recommend both the hotel and the town.
Review 18:Mostly indifferent service and poor restaurant food at dinner
Review 19:Location; availability of pool; decent rooms and surprisingly little noise even though the lively Albarino festival was on at the time of our stay
Review 20:Very nice town

Review 24:position anf staff. excellent value for money.

Review 26:Breakfast was amazing
Review 27:Great location for alborino wine festival but expect the hubbub of noise to match the atmosphere.
Review 28:Location
Review 29:Unfriendly welcome. A complete contrast to Parador Santiago that we had just come from.

Review 43:Well, it was chilly and drizzly during our stay, so we didn't get to use the pool or local beaches, but we can't blame that on the parador!
Review 44:This is a beautiful parador in a charming town on the water. The room was extremely comfortable, the inn was elegant, an easy walk to great restaurants and an easy day trip to Santiago de Compostela and the beaches on Isla la Toja. Excellent choice!
Review 45:We found the Manager very helpful & attentive with advice on where to go and what to do. Very central, near beach & town centre. We stayed here and did a day trip to Santiago de Compostela.
Review 46:Very noisy nightclub nearby, parking impossible but there was a wedding taking place
Review 47:The hotel was lovely, comfortable room, clean and beautiful grounds, easy walk into town
Review 48:We found the staff a little offhand compared with those in other similar class, better value hotels.
Review 49:The public and private facilities were all we had expected.
Review 50:The location of the parador by a little used (and at low tide smelly) harbour. Rather grumpy head waiter.
Review 51:The old town of Cambados was unusually attractive for this part of spain
Review 52:gloomy music playing, not user friendly lounge, needs brightening up and a better bar area
Review 53:location, rooms a good size, kept very clean and area by the fountain beautiful
Review 54:We stayed in December, and the rooms were cold, I believe in order to save on heating bills. Good thing is once we let reception know they came straight away to turn on the radiators in the room. Then we were cosy.
Review 55:The hotel is an old mansion, renovated for use as a hotel. Historical building, well located. Staff very very polite and helpful.
Review 56:Typical Parador style, spacioius, nice courtyard and swimming pool. Big restaurant, good breakfast. didn't try dinner. Room comfortable and service very polite and thorough. The price we got through Booking.com was very good for what we were given. When we were there, there were none of the coach parties of elderly Chinese/Japanese/Americans landing in the place as can happen at the more popular Paradors.
Review 57:The food was surprisingly bland in the evenings and disappointing. The breakfasts however were excellent - an amazing spread of almost anything you could want and really good strong aromatic coffee
Review 58:The rooms, the swimming pool, the location - just a stroll outside the hotel grounds and you are in the centre with plenty of restaurants, small shops and the sea. The breakfasts were superb!
Review 59:Water only warm on second day.
