Review 1：No internet. Hotel was quite old, and for example, the door to the balcony was not closing very well.
Review 2：Location was just by the lake in a beautiful area, and free and easy parking. Breakfast was good.
Review 3：Good view from the bedroom.The hotel is in a lovely location - quiet and peaceful. Very good breakfast. We enjoyed the swimming pool. Rather old-fashioned hotel but clean, comfortable and friendly.

Review 6：A traditional German hotel and restaurant. However the restaurant is much better than the usual German countryside restaurant : portions are normal (and not huge as unfortunately usual in Germany) and the taste is exquisite.

Review 13：The hotel is mainly for longer stay holiday people, where people will tend to eat in. The menu was simply laid out, varied, freshly cooked and tasty; more than we can say for many hotels and restaurants we've visited in Germany.

Review 16：the bed is terrible unless you're very short. The distance between bed and tv is very long and the remote doesn't really work well. The surrounding area is boring, so you certainly need a car as there seems nothing at walking distance. No wifi for guests is quite inconvenient (as I use it to plan tomorrow's route in detail). There was a working wifi , but the staff wouldn't give out the password. I find that very unfriendly.

Review 22：Our room was large and overlooked the lake. The hotel is located in a quiet area with some lovely scenery in an area of Germany with which we are unfamiliar. Enjoyed a lovely meal in the restaurant which was certainly not over-priced. Breakfast was good and we found the staff to be very pleasant and helpful. Our young waiter brought us the wrong wine and could not be more apologetic.
Review 23：Not many restaurants or bars within walking distance , ones there close early. Hotels nice enough though so be prepared to eat and drink here as well as sleep.

Review 25：Very dated hotel although it was quite clean. Food was poor - both in the restaurant and for breakfast. Staff were very odd. We were met by quite a rude lady after some wait at reception. She was reluctant to speak in English and didn't seem to want to help us. Other staff were more friendly, but it was unclear what their roles were and all staff seemed to be doing a bit of everthing.

Review 61：The bathrooms desperately need updating. I haven't seen a green suite for many years in an hotel. The staff were mainly polite but unsmiling and when I asked if we could change rooms for a view of the lake was positively grumpy and not customer friendly. The upper floors are dingy. We wanted to use the pool but the whole pool area was so overheated it was more like a big sauna and so we couldn't face using it as it would not have been at all refreshing.

Review 66：I liked the location of the hotel: next to the park Eifel and the tourist information point where you can rent bicycles. Food alright, nothing special. The hotel was very clean and well kept though a bit old. The swimming pool was not too small, it was well kept and clean.

There is no internet available, which although clearly stated onthe website, is these days something you expect. The food in therestaurant was standard German fare and not too bad, although nothingspecial; but what spoilt it was that despite there being several staffaround, only one seemed to be doing any serving and so we had to waitquite a long time for our order.

Review 77：Staff were very nice, warm natural reception and reaction to requests(such as a cheese sandwich for my son at 9pm!) The hotel has a beautiful view and is situated RIGHT beside the lake with no obstructions between you and lake. It is not bang up to date decor wise etc but our room - over looking lake - felt freshly spruced up, new paint, bathroom felt new and shower worked great. Overall if you are planning a visit to monshau or the eiffel park it is a very good option. The vogelsang development in the park will be v interesting when open next year.

Excellent dinners in the evening with good food; especially the desserts! The location was perfect for our needs and everyone had a relaxing weekend. We would certainly stay there again.

Review 92：This hotel is in a great location, right at the edge of Eifel National park. I chose this area because I'm very interested in the history of WW2 and the fighting that took place in the Hurtgen forrest and along the Siegfreid line which ran through this area. This is a great area for biking. The room was spotless, the bed comfortable. They had a small 13" tv, but who comes here to watch tv. The food in the restaurant was very good. Their English was okay, though they had trouble explaining what the selections on their menu were, which were written in German. They were very freindly and helpful.

Review 97：I am sure that the Paulusoff was a fabulous hotel some 25 years ago butthings move on, it is need of a refurbisment. We are now in 2012 not1992. It was most annoying to find a good WiFi signal but the staff werenot able to pass on the password or code, so that the hotel customerscould use this common facility, without exception the staff said it wasfor the owners use only. In these modern times WiFi is no longerconsidered an extra, all decent quality hotels who want to give theircustomers good service with basic amenities include WiFi as part of thepackage just as you would eggs with breakfast. It is a shame that theowner has taken this stance.

The personal was very nice. Thebreakfast was delicious and various choice. The swimming pool: they putalso a changing table for babies in the changing room, the temperaturewas really hot, also the water was warm enough for children, so our babyenjoyed it a lot.
