Reviews for Hotel Am Düsseldorfer Platz
Review 1:Nothing to complain about, the hotel was what one would expect for the category.
Review 2:Clean & comfortable hotel, friendly staff, excellent breakfast. Location is ideal for wandering around the town centre. The room was clean, though a little austere - a few pictures on the wall would have brightened the room up a bit. Would stay here again.
Review 3:Some of the rooms could be noisy by the metro train andcint the weekends you could hear the people on the street hanging at the hotel front door.
Review 4:The staff was very kind and helpfull they give you a warm family feeling, also the breakfast was good.
Review 5:We arrived early but check-in immediately, staff were very friendly, everything was great. Tram- and bus-stop just around the corner. Big breakfast, we left early in the morning but they prepared for us breakfast. We would recommend this hotel
Review 6:The bed was a little too hard. TV...no English speaking channels except news.
Review 7:Good access to public transport and shopping. We had to use the locals to translate the timetables for bus or train though.
Review 8:Bedroom pillow, too soft, should have asked for a seconed one.
Review 9:good helpful staff, location in town, and tram station next to hotel, made it very simple to get tickets for the 30min trip to Dusseldorf.Lovely town, good food.A great small break holiday.
Review 10:I think that, breakfast should be more european with more croissant and more sweets and not only german breakfast type. The pillows are very strange for non-german people. Too soft!!!
Review 11:very easy to find, nice place, good parking, clean and big room. Very gently staff.
Review 12:The hotel is not the most modern.
Review 13:I liked the location. It is in the centre of ratingen and it's close to all what you need of shops, resturants and bars. It is onlz 2 minutes walk to the bus and tram. The staff was super nice, friendly and helpful and the rooms was always clean.
Review 14:A fine hotel close to Duesseldorf airport. Friendly staff, good breakfast. I went there the night before picking up my girlfriend at the airport. It was no problem for her to have a quick shower in the morning, and some breakfast. I can only recommend this hotel.
Review 15:Pillows in bed poor
Review 16:Clean and very friendly staff but difficult to find due to roadworks.
Review 17:Really nice big suite with couch and desk. Friendly staff. Dog friendly.

Review 22:Very good position for public transport ,good breakfast.
Review 23:the service of Frau Oskar is great, nothing was too much for her, the rooms were clean and comfortable, well priced minibar (most around only 2 euro) , breakfast was all u could need
Review 24:The bathroom stall is very small.
Review 25:The receptionists are all very kind and attentive. The internet is free and very fast. The breakfast is good and the location is perfect, very close of Marketplatz.
Review 26:The lady in the counter (may be the boss) was very polite and helpful, and speaks very good English. Typical German style of breakfast (meant good but not much choice). Within very short driving time to Messe Dusseldorf where was the venue we had to go during the stay.
Review 27:While the hotel was well situated vis a vis bus stop and nearness to the town center, Ratingen itself is quite far from Cologne and it took us an hour and a half every day to get to the Koeln Messe.
Review 28:Spacious and well-appointed rooms, big bathroom, very good shower, firm beds. The little kitchenette tucked in a closet was specially appreciated. We loved the generous breakfast and the atmosphere of the breakfast room. Service was friendly and efficient.
Review 29:Nothing to dislike!
Review 30:We have stayed here quite often & the high standard has never varied. Very good clean rooms, excellent breakfast, good location for Ratingen or tram to Dusseldorf. Staff very friendly.
Review 31:Bedroom was perfectly good but had not been modernised recently.
Review 32:Great staff at reception - went out of their way to be helpful. Spacious bedroom. Superb breakfast. Parking available
Review 33:We have stayed here before. Situated in the lovely town of ratingen butwith easy acess to dusseldorf. A total luxury at this price compared tothe rubbish we get in britain ! everything about it is first class!!!Someone complained about the Wi-Fi being slow ! get a life !!!!!
Review 34:I found that the broadband connection was too weak to use on this occasion , It was frustrating that I could not check in after 8pm. When I called the hotel to inform that I was late due to a delayed flight, the staff could not speak English - the language of international business. These are minor 'niggles', overall the good far outweighs the bad.
Review 35:The hotel is exactly what is needed when one is travelling on business. The rooms are clean and comfortable , and is in a quiet location, but yet still within walking distance of the centre. Access to public and private transport is quite literally on the doorstep. The staff are friendly and welcoming. If I am to come back on business in the future, this hotel will be my choice.
Review 36:No possibility for computer use, not even in a case of emergency when Icould not find a internet cafe at night.
Review 37:Comfortable room. Impressivee modern shower with temperature gauge andhot strong stream. Friendly staff
Review 38:* No WiFi connection at arrival, we phoned the reception and they asked us to call an external it support ourselves.* Towels as soft as sandpaper
Review 39:* Good rates* Location in the center of town
Review 40:There were troubles connecting to the hotel's wi-fi - I had to call ISP's support line myself - hotel's staff couldn't help me. Anyway, the connection speed was more like of a dial-up connection - even Skype audio calls were not possible. So I don't recommend this otherwise good hotel for those who need internet on daily basis.
Review 41:A nice cosy hotel, close to Dusseldorf and airport.
Review 42:Problem with internet connection, limited number of parking places withtime limitation,
Review 43:Perfect location next to train stop to dusseldorf, few nice restaurantswithin walking distance, quite ok breakfast,
Review 44:Quiet & peaceful, a small village with everything you need is close by.
Review 45:The pillows to soft and they stops heating by night.
