Reviews for Hotel Turmwirt ***S

Review 1:Depending on where your room is, you might be bothered by the church bells. Shower leaked a bit if not used in handheld mode.

Review 2:Great, central location. Free wifi. Great breakfast.

Review 3:I stayed at the hotel with my 5 yo daughter. The hotel charged extra 20EUR instead of it had been mention on the booking.com, that the kid under 11, sharing a bed with parents is free of charge. So, if I had been traveled with husband - kid would not be charged. Quite confusing. I would choose another hotel, if only I knew about such a policy.

Review 4:Well located, Maxbrau is just 5 min walk, hotel itself is clean and cosy

Review 5:Church bells (across the street) rang all night, every 15min. That was the only problem- not their fault. Bring ear plugs.

Review 6:The breakfast was very good. Lovely place with a very friendly staff.

Review 7:As a vegetarian, I found the warm breakfast a bit frugal

Review 8:Very Clean, nice location, close to restaurants Abundant street parking. The church bells going off every hour add a sense of charm. Great for a short stay

Review 9:Parking is little different

Review 10:Family run hotel. Everyone is so pleasant & helpful all the time. Rooms are spacious & clean. Breakfast is like being served at your own castle. Love this hotel!

Review 11:Parking spaces at the hotel are limited.

Review 12:The location was Excellent allowing us to walk all throughout town. It was very quiet at night. Breakfast was full of variety and very fresh.

Review 13:Hotel managers were unfriendly. I was treated like an enemy. The Hotel had a WiFi, but it didn´t work stable. After I told them that WiFi was broken, than the manager said I was there for the Hotel not for WiFi. Not enough Parking place Very close to the Church (acoss the street). Ringing bells made very hard to sleep even in the middle of the night.

Review 14:It was perfect for a little rest after a month of solo backpacking. Having a bath felt like such an indulgence! All the staff were friendly and very helpful - going above and beyond...totally recomend! I suggest you get the free breakfast as it is already inbuilt into the cost of your room and is very nice anyway.

Review 15:Convenient for walking in Oberammergau. Clean. Very nice breakfast. Lovely restaurants nearby. Staff was helpful.

Review 16:a little expensive.

Review 17:everything

Review 18:Much light in the morning hours because of the curtains who are very light coloured and thin.

Review 19:Great breakfast.

Review 20:The whole staff was kind and accommodating. The location is excellent, the breakfast superb, and the room was comfortable and welcoming.

Review 21:No restaurant

Review 22:Personel friendship

Review 23:I did not find anything to complain about.

Review 24:The staff and location. The hotel was very clean and the breakfast excellent I would stay here again.

Review 25:wi fi didn't work except in lobby

Review 26:great location for touring in area

Review 27:clean and comfortable rooms, good breakfast, and I could walk through the whole town

Review 28:Family run place, very nice folks and friendly. Breakfast was awesome. Bathroom lights are automatic so it can cut on/off that can be a little annoying but minor. We love the place and would definitely stay there again!

Review 29:No a/c during hot weather in the mountains. Light in bath could notbe turned off manually and was very bright. Directly across from thechurch and the bells rang all night long every fifteen minutes.Uncomfortable beds. No working wifi access!

Review 30:The place was very clean. Large room. Very close to good food at theHotel Maxmillian. Very good parking perhaps because of early season.Beautiful view of the mountains and King Ludwig's cross. Very goodbreakfast.

Review 31:The duvets. Americans like like sheets and blankets.

Review 32:This is my second year at this hotel. The hotel is convenient, clean reasonable and the owners are very accommodating.

Review 33:Unfamiliar, no smile. I felt they don't like me, therefore, i also don't like them. They already have charged the room fee from my credit card at the arrival (even without may signature!!!!). But, they didn't do it for other customers. So they're also quite unfair. Oberammergau is small town, but there are enough lots of hotels. You had better chose another one. Because of this hotel, I never will visit at this town any more!!!!!!.

Review 34:Hotel is new. so just it's only the unique point. nothing else!

Review 35:The family run hotel was fantastic. We enjoyed the breakfasts, room, and wellness area on the first floor. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. I will stay there again when I return.

Review 36:Very clean, wonderful people, made us feel special, great location, kids were asking even before leaving if we could book to come back soon and for every Christmas break

Review 37:Hotel Turmwit was a lovely hotel, very clean and well located within walking distance of the town of Oberammergau. We had a lovely room and the breakfast that was included with our room was very nice.

Review 38:Lovely hotel, lovely people who run it, spotlessly clean, couldn't do enought to help and a font of local knowledge. Very welcoming, booked for one night stayed 3. Enuff said.

Review 39:We disappointed with the hotel's reception staff. At times they seemed bothered to man the desk and provide assistance, and the breakfast buffet was limited if you ate early. Also, if you're a light sleeper, beware--the bells from the cathedral across from the hotel kept us up until the wee hours--bring good ear plugs!

Review 40:Located near the town centre. Also, the young woman who replenished the breakfast buffet was very pleasant, constantly attending to the breakfast area and offering a customized hotel newspaper each day.

Review 41:The room was just average in terms of furniture and carpeting.

Review 42:The location was very good with a few minutes walk to everything inOberammergau. They laid on a good breakfast and there were severalexcellent restaurants close by. The town is close to the Linden Hof anda variety of routes for day trips. Parking ins limited but most of theguests seemed to be on small bus tours. The value was good. A separateshower was a plus. There was a separate computer room for guests.Anemployee brushed the snow off my car which was nice.

Review 43:The internet connection was poor. The sauna facilities are not included in the room prices (8 euro per session..)

Review 44:Central located, a friendly family run hotel. The hotel has a small but modern gym and sauna facilities.

Review 45:Very noisy hotel, just next door near the church, its bells pealingevery 15 min. No soundproofing at all, from neighbors and corridor .Wecould hear everything. When we asked to change the room, the owner saidthat it was fully booked, but when we offered to pay more he found thesame double room, but at the bottom of corridor, which was cost 25 euromore per night. While I was talking to the owner, as I understood later,he was at the reception, eating, spreading something on his slice ofbread, it was humiliating. We liked other personal. The Hotel had made adeposit from my card of total amount at the day of reservation, butpolicy said no deposit .We would have changed the hotel, but the moneyhad been charged before we came.

Review 51:Bar is ot open every night and lack of updated ski information.

Review 52:Speed of service. Availability of staff. Good advices and friendlinessof people.
