Reviews for Finca Los Llanos
Review 1:Cleanliness was not up to the mark. Sound from neighbouring rooms easily penetrates yours and having a bunch of kids in nearby rooms did not help our relaxation plans!
Review 2:Location is good for views of the town but one needs to walk down and back up to the centre every time. Comfy feeling in the rooms. Excellent food in the restaurant with service to match! Sumptuous breakfast.
Review 3:Building work during siesta time but understand this has to happen sometimes.
Review 4:Very friendly and helpful staff. Room with balcony overlooking the village. Assistance with parking and provision of hiking guide and loan of poles. Good breakfast.
Review 5:Hiking right outside the hotel and parking in front of the hotel along the street, very easy and enjoyable. The hotel also doubles as an info point for hikes and park information.
Review 6:Internet only sometimes worked and the unit was really hot. Had to keep asking them to turn off the heating.
Review 7:Great restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Nice view and always nice to have a fridge to keep the pre dinner cheese and wine.
Review 8:Well situated hotel a stroll down the road to loads of restaurants. Very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was first class with plenty of choice.
Review 9:Room was nice but my bed had a crinkly plastic cover on it and a lamp had a burnt (dangerous) lampshade.
Review 10:Excellent position and breakfast. Nice pool but unheated so cool in October.
Review 11:lack of any option to heat the room or at least bathroom (during our stay temperature went down to 8 degrees)
Review 12:fantastic view, very good facilities, reach breakfast
Review 13:The staff were very kind and helpfull, especially in the restaurant were we eat a very nice and delicious dinner :) We forgot our smartphone at the hotel, and left to Granada. On the same day, after calling back the hotel, they managed to bring us the phone to Granada since the post offices were closed for weekend. We thank for the exeptional effort made by the hotel staff and Ms. Pili, in order to bring us our phone. The surrounding area including the pool is simple beautiful, very green and well kept. We certainly will be back in this hotel next time.
Review 14:Limited choice on the Menu del Dia.
Review 15:Traditional, rural accommodation which was clean and comfortable. Good location on the outskirts of the Village with a substantial Spanish breakfast included in the price.
Review 16:we were charged extra for a' luxury' room which was not in fact a luxury room but the same as the other doubles. unfriendly owner cold pool
Review 17:location room
Review 18:Good views from terraces, swimming pool, and great location in the heart of Sierra Nevada. We got also a champagne as a gift at our room at the beginning of the stay.
Review 19:Parking is not in the area of the hotel but merely somewhere on the street, the number of parking slot reserved for the guest is insufficient. Serrano could have been served during the breakfast as Capileira and area around is full of ham.
Review 20:Excellent room, well equipped. Swimming pool with refreshingly cold water.
Review 21:Pool bar was shut on a Sunday. It was August and there were plenty of people around the pool who would have used it. We also could have done with it being open after a 7 hour, 17 km walk!
Review 22:Great location. Really pretty hotel, gardens and pool.Jacuzzi is a nice touch. Plenty of free parking in the close area.We went for the walking and it was excellent.
Review 23:The prices at the restaurant are without VAT.....they should put the final price because you are in vacation not in a training for accouters in order to add VAT at every product price from the menu.
Review 24:The nature around the hotel is amazing and the little river from the yard is very nice.
Review 25:Some of furnishings a bit tatty looking. Salad from main menu(not menu del dia) all from tins or jars apart from lettuce and tomatoes -come on!!!
Review 26:Position in village-great views. Staff really helpful.
Review 27:None
Review 28:The hotel is owned by two friendly sisters which provides a really warm atmosphere. The view is really beautiful and accomodations are nice as well. Breakfast buffet is really good!
Review 29:As older couple location at top of hill was very hard work. Staff were very helpful gardens and facilities good. Food was poor but staff were very good. Would we use again? Maybe.
Review 30:Staff & gardens & facilities
Review 31:Breakfast starting at 8:00 is a little late, if you are going with the bus to the mountain Mulhacen. And going by this but at 8:30 is de facto the only posibility.
Review 32:Nice location, nice rooms, helpful staff.
Review 33:Dinner was very cheap but not that special, and things ran out on the buffet so we missed out. Some things were also quite lukewarm - so get there early!
Review 34:Beautiful swimming pool. Situated in a cute little village. Friendly staff. The grounds are gorgeous, with lots of flowers. Room was spacious and shower was great. Breakfast was fine. Very good price for the room.
Review 35:This hotel was incredible! The most friendly staff, who were so helpful. Excellent room, comfortable bed, clean, great view, so quiet. I highly recommend this hotel for the avid hiker, or the person just looking to unplug, lay by the pool and get some relaxing in.
Review 36:The bed was very uncomfortable - a very hard mattress which meant we really didn't sleep at all well the three nights we were there. It was particularly unfortunate; as we planned to do a lot of walking, but felt too tired to do much. For this reason, we probably wouldn't go back there; which is a shame because it was fine otherwise.
Review 37:Our room was 207 overlooking the swimming pool and hills over the valley. It was very peaceful. The staff were helpful and friendly. Well-equipped generally - but could have done with tea/coffee making facility.
Review 38:WiFi is a bit dodgy, but that's to be expected at that altitude. Rooms could be a bit more comfortable.
Review 39:Great location in capileira with stunning views. Walking trails and shopping nearby.
Review 40:It was winter time so little cold. When I was sleeping one of the heater dosen't work. so.. cold that time
Review 41:It was my mistake booking so very hard to get there. But it was great to see the sight. Carlm, unique billege. Interesting. One more, excellent breakfast.
Review 42:Nothing to not like
Review 43:Everything! The hotel was really quaint, not your average square block of identical rooms and had loads of character. Good food, nice staff, had everything we needed. We asked for a quiet room as we are light sleepers and got given a lovely room away from all the noise. Good location for the village and walks on the mountains. Shame we only stayed two nights, would definitely stay again.
Review 44:Swimming pool wasn't heated and the water too cold (in my opinion) for swimming. There were also a lot of leaves and sand in the water. Apart from this fairly minor issue everything was just great.
Review 45:Finca Llos Lanos is excellent value for money. The hotel is absolutely lovely, the rooms spacious, clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The restaurant serves a generous breakfast with fresh fruits, yoghurts, eggs, cheeses, cold meats, etc. We also had lunch and / or dinner on six occasions during our stay and were pleasantly surprised by the good quality of the food and wine. The staff are very nice, nothing is too much trouble and everybody made us feel very welcome. Capileira, like the surrounding villages in the area, is very pretty, clean and has plenty of good restaurant options. The setting of Capileira, high up in the Alpujarras mountains, is amazing, very beautiful and perfect for walking, biking or generally exploring.
Review 46:The food for dinner looked excellent and good value. This is not a criticism as such but just an observation. One of us does not eat meat and all the choices were meat meals, there was not a fish or veggie option. In no way would this prevent me from staying again though.
Review 47:Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent facilities both in the room and the hotel in general. Quiet. Ideal location for walking in the area. Good range of good food for breakfast ( which was included). Excellent value for money. Would definitely stay again.
Review 48:Most of the rooms had a great outlook but unfortunately ours was built into the side of a slope so had no window to look out of :(. It's probably worth asking for a room with a window however the room was very quiet :)
Review 49:Friendly staff, very clean. Great bathrooms. Lovely swimming pool complex and terrace.
Review 50:OK the buffet food may not suit everybody but they have a good alternative menu
Review 51:Perfect location for our tour views from bedroom balcony fantastic Good value for money
Review 52:Bed on the firm side for our taste but not too uncomfortable
Review 53:Friendly and helpful staff; fantastic views from the balcony; large room; good buffet breakfast included in cost - all in all great value for money in a beautiful village
Review 54:broken fridge in the bedroom plugged into a loose wall socket. Slowness in tidying up external tables after use. Limited parking.
Review 55:location, staff, pool and breakfast
Review 56:Wi-fi signal in public areas was unstable and of insufficient capacity, we had to wait to continue in browsing many times and it was lost completely when group of several teenagers started exchange the pictures via email. It would be also appreciated if wi-fi is also in the rooms.
Review 57:A good location to start tracks in Sierra Nevada, nice rustical facility with a pool and garden, close to a village center, but quiet, friendly staff, breakfast rather ok, but coffee was not a best one. Shower in our bathroom was fixed on the wall, women need a shower cap ( available there) not to wet hair.
Review 58:We had the last room available and we understood why. It smells the cigarette smoke in the room. We opened the windows but the smell was to strong. Even the bed was smelling cigarette's smoke. It was horrible.
Review 59:Great location, it's beautiful! Nice swimming pool also.
Review 60:Lovely room, pool area etc. However breakfast is poor, we were in after gtoup of walkers left and just think leftovers. Could do with eggs at least. Hiwever would stay again, location perfect.
Review 61:The food. The walls are extremely thin. The plumbing was faulty.
Review 62:The location.
Review 63:Very good location. Beutiful sunset from my room.
Review 64:Old, small TV set Dark room
Review 65:Clothes drying needed.
Review 66:Staff
Review 67:Nothing bad
Review 68:Beautiful scenic village up the hills/mountain and peaceful setting.
Review 69:Dinner not as good as what was available in village : buffet breakfast fine however
Review 70:Location : friendly staff
Review 71:rooms a Little old fashioned
Review 72:great Location for start of hiking tours in Sierra Nevada; clean, big bathroom; good breakfast
Review 73:The staff in reception were extremely helpful and friendly! They helped us by giving us maps for local hikes and advice.
Review 74:Wifi not strong in bedrooms
Review 75:Friendliness of staff
Review 76:Water was not very warm. Pool just sun warmed.
Review 77:Wonderful simple hotel in a very special place.
Review 78:We liked the location which gave us the opportunity to visit local restaurants and made a good starting point for walking.
Review 79:Nothing.
Review 80:The location, the pool and staff all excellent.
Review 81:Noisy neighbours
Review 82:View and pool
Review 83:Air Condition could have been a good idea, when >20 degrees C during the night. Breakfast was too basic.
Review 84:Lovely pool Lovely view
Review 85:Location Friendly atmosphere
Review 86:Very friendly staff
Review 87:Room and balcony small Bed not comfortable
Review 88:The pool and terrace bar
Review 89:The rooms were a bit noisy.
Review 90:The staff were wonderful ,very helpful. The meals were good, the walking was fantastic. A lovely place to stay .
Review 91:Excellent view, good start for hiking Sierra Nevada
Review 92:Spacious rooms, great swimmming pool and very good breakfast
Review 93:Good walks in beautiful countryside
Review 94:Location, location, location. It's difficult to imagine a lovelier village than Capileira and a more beautiful valley.
Review 95:Location, helpful staff
Review 96:Dinner and walk into town
Review 97:Warm apartment, staff has recommended us few tracking ways from Finca. So we could enjoy the nature. Beds were also very comfortable
Review 98:Beautiful location Very nice staff Cozy lobby
Review 99:Beds - hard mattress and plastic bed cover made it very hot and not comfortable for sleeping.
Review 100:Location, spatious, nice terrace, reasonable breakfast.
Review 101:Food - very basic and poor quality. No typical meals - just fried fish.
Review 102:Everything apart from food
Review 103:Location, room, swimming pool, garden
Review 104:The roof being renovated (with consequent disruption) on the Monday morning of our stay. The lack of atmosphere in the dining room.
Review 105:Fantastic location, stunning views, good facilities, incl swimming pool. Very helpful staff, who also advised on local walks.
Review 106:Apart from Lola, no other staff member could speak english
Review 107:The complimentary bottle of Cava was a lovely welcoming touch. Very useful walking maps and information supplied. Very central location with beautiful a views. Lola at reception was like a breath of fresh air.
Review 108:Room very small, dated and basic. Heating in restaurant was only turned on when we arrived, as it is a large high ceilinged room it was impossible to heat in this way -- we had to eat with our overcoats on. Heating was never on at breakfast even though it was only 3deg. We were charged 10% IVA on our bill when the food element should have been 7%. Not a 3star resort, very poor value for money
Review 109:Location
Review 110:On our last night, we wanted to have a late drink in the hotel bar but it had closed early.
Review 111:The location was fantastic with outstanding views. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and all fresh produce. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was well stocked with free toiletries. The complimentary bottle of Cava upon arrival was a very nice touch. Restaurants and bars nearby had friendly and polite staff and the food and drink was plentiful and incredibly cheap.
Review 112:The hotel advertises free parking. But when we got to the hotel we found the free parking is really only a few spaces alongside the entrance. The spaces were all full so we had to search the village for parking. We paid extra for a terrace room after seeing the pictures on the internet. But the room we were given was nothing like the room in the pictures. Technically it had a terrace, but it was a tiny dark terrace at the corner of the building overlooking a car that was parked beside the building. Not exactly the stunning view we were expecting. The tiny corner window with no sun also made our room very dark and cold.
Review 113:Nice outdoor sitting area by the canal.
Review 114:The rooms were quite dark, but very quiet.
Review 115:The facilities were a good, but not great value. It was quiet and comfortable. A bit like a chalet setting in Spain. The included breakfast was good and had lots of options. The location is perfect - just outside of the main bit of town, but very easy walk to get to bars and restaurants. Great pool area. Must be lovely in summer.
Review 116:Food only average. Slight 'hippy' feel to village. Generally 'mountain' food; large portions.
Review 117:Location on edge of village. Well maintained, beautiful gardens and pool. Beautiful views of mountains. Fabulous walking. Great value for money.
Review 118:Accesible location at top of village, with magnificent views and charming gardens. The village is an oasis of greenery and flowers, really contrasting with the dry coastal plains. Generous buffet breakfast
Review 119:The room was a little bit dark, but we got used to it :) Breakfast machine coffee :(
Review 120:Nice hotel and beautiful garden. Pool was refreshing after the day's hike. Wonderful view to the Poquiera valley. The staff was very helpful. The atmosphere in the hotel and whole village was pleasant.
Review 121:Restaurant food wasn't memorable, but again the staff were.
Review 122:The staff were excellent, very helpful and friendly. The gardens were really lovely and well kept. Wonderful location, good for hiking.
Review 123:Very small amount of noise from neighbouring rooms.
Review 124:Friendly helpful staff, good breakfast, a handy fridge in the room, only ate at the restaurant once in the evening, but meal was excellent value. Many and varied mountain walks direct from the hotel. Will stop again!
Review 125:Horrible coffee at breakfast ! Reception staff continued a conversationwith a friend whilst checking us in so failed to provide us with anylocal information on our arrival. The toilet leaked.
Review 126:The position in a small village with extensive walks was amazing -abeautiful place.
