Review 1：My husband didn't like that there was no a/c. I honestly didn't notice, they had great fans that kept the temperature perfectly cool, which 'i think better than freezing with a/c blowing. This is just being super picky: I would have liked more deluxe/plush bath towels but at the price we paid I could in no way could I expect that and the towels were nicer than our other pricier hotels in DR. Also the town can be noisy at night so travel with ear plugs.

Review 2：Loved the look of the place, it was very adorable. I loved the thatched roof and decor. The place was very clean, cleanest we stayed at, and had excellent service. Great value for money. The best in Bayahibe. We only stayed here for one night and we wished we stayed longer after we checked in. Christian was so hospitable and made you feel welcome immediately. No place we stayed at was as comfortable or clean even for more money. You are walking distance to everything in Bayahibe. Wifi was also the best we found in town.

Review 3：Christian the owners' son was great; immediately gave us a warm welcome and offered to show us a little bit the area of bayahibe; also gave us a lot of useful tips and recommendations! Definitely we will come back!

Their guest house is exceptional on all levels- beyond just the facility, it is their kindness and caring and absolute dedication that makes this such a special place to stay. I'm so grateful to have had the opportunity to meet such incredible human beings as them.

Review 5：The early morning wake-up calls from the next door neighbor (rooster) but it was a pleasant way to start the day for sure. We were expecting the jacuzzi to be a hot-tub but after a day in the heat, the cool water was a refreshing surprise.

Review 6：Beautiful private terrace upstairs, super clean and modern, yet with a tropical Carribean feel. Your 'host' is Most helpful; he showed us around a little, and gave us good tips about food and drink options as well as general excursion information.

Review 13：Everything. Excelent service and location. Rooms have all you need and all the staff are there to solve any problems you may have. The owners are always taking care of every single detail. Christian even took us for a short tour around bayahibe at the moment we arrived, and was always ready to go the extra mile. We hope to be back in Bayahibe, and of course stay in this hotel again.

Review 15：I stayed in the top floor apartment of this guest house, with a lovely balcony and a jacuzzi. The place was neat, and was cleaned every day. Christian, who manages the guest house, was very helpful in every regard. Would definitely recommend this place!

Review 16：We had high expectations due to positive reviews but still were so impressed. I got to brag to my husband at my skills at finding such a good place. We had the penthouse (third floor) and most of the apartment is open air and delightful whereas the bed and bathroom are indoors with AC. The place was clean at the highest standard and despite being more like a condo, it was still cleaned everyday, which was nice. We had just stayed in one of the big box resorts for some days prior in Punta Cana and this was so much nicer and at a third of the price. Christian, the owner, deserves his own review because he gave us many tips on Bayahibe and made sure all of our needs were met the entire time. It almost had a B & B feel for that reason. The location was perfect, exactly in the middle of everything, and third floor gave us a great view of the local culture. I was concerned when booking about it not being on the beach, but nothing is on the beach in Bayahibe due to the many boats that cater to fishing/diving. We drove to a couple beaches but one was easily walking distance. We spent most of our time in Bayahibe diving with Scuba Fun (great crew and price there) (and we saw a shark at El Peñon!). I highly recommend Bayahibe if you want to interact with locals that are just living and not necessarily focused on tourism. We saw lots of kids and moms with their kids and locals and foreigners socializing at local bars. There is the gamut of food options--we liked Mama Rosa's Pica Pollo across the street but many upscale options as well with great cocktails and catch of the day. There are some dogs and cats in the town and we love animals but I had a little anxiety for them with cars but I realized they were more savvy than me so I got over it and just petted them and gave them scraps when I got the chance. There are roosters and they crow but that was a part of the experience. I brought ear plugs--for snoring husband--so I never heard a thing at night.

Review 17：Totally recommend this place, the best in bayahibe, and great if you would like to make your own adventure away from the "all inclusive" resorts full of people.

Review 18：the apartment is beautiful, very well decorated and equipped to make a comfortable stay. It has a full kitchen with fridge, everything you need to cook your own food, make breakfast, etc. They clean and change towels every day. The wifi is excellent and free. It has a private patio with barbecue and Jacuzzi. The apartments are VERY well located, in the center of the Bayahibe town, so you have plenty of restaurants, cafes, markets, at a walking distance. It is also very close to the public beach of Bayahibe. The owner, Christian, is sooo polite and willing to help in everything you need like tours and recommends you great places. He gives you a cell phone for you to call him whenever you need.

Review 19：The host gave us a 30 minutes tour through the village and showed us places to eat and go out. He even provided us with a prepaid cell phone to call him in case of any emergencies. Apartment was cleaned thoroughly everyday. Nice balcony, spacious rooms.

Review 20：The owners aren't currently set up to take credit card payments, but there are plenty of ATMs nearby and they were very flexible about when we paid for the room.

Review 21：Owners were incredibly friendly. They were there to greet us upon our arrival and even gave us a short walking tour of the area. They also gave suggestions on restaurants and helped arrange a private snorkeling tour for me and my wife. We were upgraded to the larger room with stocked kitchen, private patio with jacuzzi and grill. The bathroom was also very clean and well designed. Blow dryer and iron were included. They conveniently provided a cell phone to carry around and call the owners whenever we needed anything or any advice about touring Bayahibe. This was our favorite place to stay during our tour of the Dominican.

Review 22：This place is very good for a short stay in Bayahibe. Conveniently located - far enough away from the noise along the waterfront to be quiet. Fully equipped kitchen. Comfortable furniture. Excellent television and internet. Very clean. Outside sitting area is very nice. Owner Christian is very helpful with anything you might need.

He took care of everything from showing us around the area, setting up a private boat tour at an unbelievable price, and personally providing transportation when we needed it. I can't recommend staying here high enough.

Review 27：We loved everything! The guest house is beautiful, super clean, and super accessible to everything. Christian, the manager, greeted us when we arrived and was very welcoming and friendly. He gave us a tour of Bayahibe (you can walk the whole town in less than 10mins) and even helped us carry groceries up to our apartment. Bayahibe itself is a true paradise where everyone is friendly, the scuba diving is awesome, and we (two women) never felt unsafe. Also the small local restaurant across the street was the best food we had the whole time we stayed. We originally planned to stay 3 nights but loved it so much we changed our plans around and stayed 5 instead. I definitely plan to come back and will stay with Bayahibe Guest House when I do! It is a perfect paradise home away from home!

Review 28：I loved staying st this tastefully decorated place while relaxing from the daily excursions in nearby ilha saona. Christian us a wonderful host and happy to help with advice. I would stay there again anytime.

Review 29：Christian provided an extra bed and towels as we had a last minute extra person. Angie the maid did a great job and was very agreeable on a couple of requests we made. Great Dominican food right across the street.

Review 30：Personally, there was nothing that we did not like. As mentioned in some of the reviews before, there are several roosters close by that start to make noise at around 04:00 am, however we were not disturbed by that. When staying in this location one is right in the middle of all the charme and tradition that "old Bayahibe" has to offer - roosters included!

Review 31：Everything! There is absolutely nothing to not like. The apartments are newly renovated, according to high quality standard and are very charmingly furnished. Everything that might be needed is provided - from hairdryer to ironing board. The cleaning lady did a fantastic job and Christian, the owner, provides a very unique and excellent service. He greeted us upon arrival and took us on a tour through the village to show us around and provide us with information about the most important things (supermarkets, exchange service, tour guides, etc.) He can also provide you with some great tips on what to do/where to eat in the area. Christian was available day and night for all kind of questions we had and was very eager to make our stay the perfect experience. What shall we say? It was! We would definitely come back for another stay!

Review 33：Appartment is completely new, super clean. Big living room, nice kitchen, good bathroom, very nice balcony, just exactly what you see in the pictures, no hidden secrets. Manager, Christian, is extremely helpful, he even drove me 10km to the next ATM because the one in town wasn't working. Awesome to get to the apartment and get complementary beer and water to cool down from the trip. Also listen to his eating advice, he pointed me in the right direction. Some great restaurants. I can only say that I'm going back soon, guaranteed.

Actually we planned to stay just one night, but we felt so comfortable that we cancelled our plans and stayed for 7 days.The apartment has enough space to relax and feel like home, stylish furniture and everything you need. It’s located in the centre of Bayahibe, good places to eat typical dominican food are very close. The owner Christian is very nice and helpful guy! There is a mobile in every apartment which you can use for free to call him and time. Angie keeps the apartment every day clean. We can just recommend the apartment to have holidays and a relaxed time!Ursprünglich hatten wir nur eine Nacht im Bayahibe Guest House geplant, auf der Durchreise, haben uns aber sofort so wohl gefühlt in dem Appartement und in Bayahibe selbst, dass wir die Pläne verworfen haben und insgesamt 7 Tage geblieben sind. Die Appartements sind sehr geschmackvoll und gut ausgestattet. Die Möbel sind von sehr guter Qualität und sogar selbst designed. Das Bad ist ebenso sehr schön ausgestattet, auf neuestem Standard. In der Küche gibt es sämtliche Utensilien, die man benötigt um sich auch selbst versorgen zu können. Insgesamt hat man viel Platz um sich wohl zu fühlen und zu entspannen, inklusive einer schönen Terrasse, auf der man mal ein Mittagsschläfchen machen kann.Besonders zu erwähnen ist auch der Gastgeber Christian, er ist wirklich sehr hilfsbereit, nimmt sich Zeit einem den Ort zu zeigen und vermittelt auch schnell und verlässlich gute Kontakte, für Ausflüge, Aktivitäten und alles andere. Es gibt für jedes Appartement ein Handy mit dem man Christian jederzeit erreichen kann, wenn man Fragen hat oder Hilfe braucht.Angie hat jeden Tag für eine hervorragende Sauberkeit im Appartement gesorgt und bei Magenbeschwerden unsererseits sogar mit geheimnisvollen Kräutertee zur Besserung gesorgt, nachdem herkömmliche Medizin versagt hatte.In Bayahibe selbst kann man sehr entspannte Tage verbringen.
