Review 1：This hotel is beautiful. The staff are exceptionally curtious. We arrived later than expected due to delays with flights and the restaurant was due to close. The staff still ensured we had a meal which was tremendous. I can not recommend a hotel more highly.
Review 2：We ate at the Gourmet restaurant. The food was absolutely exquisite. Between the four of us we tried a lot of different dishes. All of them were perfect! It was a very pleasant surprise. Additionally we did not book a table until the morning of arrival. When I called I was told there were no tables left. As I sounded disappointed, our hostess made a special effort to find us a very nice table - well done!

Review 5：Right from the first welcome, we felt at ease in this wonderful hotel where we spent some incredibly wonderful nights. The rooms were very clean, comfortable and well kept up-to-date. The breakfast was delicious and the meal in the gourmet restaurant we had on our second evening was one of the best meals we ever enjoyed. We will come back!

Very comfortable room, carefully thought-out interior design: simple and elegant, a nice light wood finishing, beautiful balcony overlooking a soul warming small courtyard. Friendly staff. Due to the late arrival we had not the pleasure to visit the gourmet restaurant which was full, but next time will definitely reserve a table in advance.

Review 13：No wi-fi on the second floor, staff did nothing about it, not very experienced girls as waiters in the resto, we've been waiting for our wine for ages. They really try, but even if there were not a lot of customers their service was a bit slow (but I am sure they will learn how to work faster). Also a lot of flies were attacking our plates, restaurant has to do smth with it (not a hard thing to organize). Walls are thin, u can easily hear neigbors.

Review 32：The room was too hot after a hot (27 C) day .A fan was supplied on request,but I think one should be included in a room of this class. Had I been occupying a cheaper room at the front of the building,traffic noise might have been annoying.
Review 33：The hotel is obviously under close supervision by the owners,and is of a generally very high standard in respect of staff,maintenance ,and cleanliness. The spacious rooms at the back have a beautiful view of the wooded hillsides,and a balcony useful for sitting in good weather,and drying clothes in bad.The decor and colour scheme reflects the outdoors,even down to the mural in the huge shower enclosure.As expected in the Black forest,the joinery is superb. Breakfast is served in the main restaurant with proper linen and china.The quality and choice of tea is exceptional. I used the "Gasthaus" restaurant,rather than the six-course gourmet offering,and found the choice and quality to be excellent.

Review 35：1. The curtains are beautiful but they are hardly shutting out the morning light so I suggest (extra) blinds close to the windows for guests, like me, who like to have a dark bedroom (or a sleeping mask if there is no budget for the 1st idea)
Review 36：1.The staff of the hotel and restaurant was very professional and pleasant. 2.Impression of good "family business" values f.e.: the life pianomusic was outdated and/or at least not at all my taste but I thought it a very sympathetic idea to keep on hiring the pianoman probably since the 70's:It is clearly a job he loves so much (he was also very happy to greet every client with a big friendly smile and for sure to talk a bit longer with regular guests) that it would be cruel and unjust to get rid of him! 3. The Sundaymorning breakfast was a treat with an incredible variety of choices of quality food and excellent service. 4. The rooms were very good: spacious, clean (a floormat/towel to enter the bed with impeccable feet!), nice furniture and a well-designed bathroom with every little item one needs.

The hotel is in a small town, but you can easily reach everything in Alsace by car in short time and they had very reasonable price. Nice breakfast, free parking.

The Gasthaus lounge is open daily (except at lunchtime on Tuesday) between 12:00 and 14:00, and between 18:00 and 22:00.The restaurant is open between 18:30 and 22:00 from Wednesdays until Sundays. It is also open at lunchtime on Sundays and public holidays.Guests can reserve a table at the restaurant or in the Gasthaus lounge in advance by noting it in their reservation.
