Reviews for Hotel Legoland

Review 1:quite overpriced, our room did not really have a lot of lego decor as expected

Review 2:great for lego fans, would be great for families with young children as there are pool, football game facilities and lots of places for lego building everywhere. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Review 3:The family rooms are very small and need updating. The breakfast was just ok.

Review 4:The proximity to LEGOLAND was fantastic. We could just leave our car at the hotel and walk. The video game area, game room and LEGO building corners were great for the kids! The staff was excellent.

Review 5:Nothing really but If I was being really picky the toiletries provided weren't great.

Review 6:Safe hotel with family feel throughout. Very child friendly with lots of play areas for children of all ages. Great food sekection

Review 7:Had to change rooms when shower overflowed from sewage vent. Breakfast Buffet average. Actually had to go to Lalandia to get decent meal.

Review 8:Convenient. Kids love theme rooms.

Review 9:place looks and feels too old, food variety and quality disappointing compared to the cost

Review 10:super easy access to the theme park, and great fun for the kids

Review 11:It seems like LEGO brand has developed so much via their products lately and that the Legoland Hotel is a little bit behind compared with Disney World kind of hotels etc.

Review 12:Perfect for the kids and great food.

Review 13:The price of the rooms is a bit high (in any case I knew that!) and theycharge the card too much.

Review 14:We booked a Pirate Room and it was beautiful. The hotel is like a Legomuseum! Very nice. The breakfast was very good.

Review 15:We went end of season and its still very expensive . The beds should definitely be more comfy . Breakfast should also been improved , better quality and fresher

Review 16:Kids were in heaven . They absolutely loved everything about the hotel . The evening buffet was good. The themed rooms are very nice . As is the game room, video room etc . Great gym!

Review 17:We took our grandson and there was always something for him to do in the hotel when we got back from the park. Also staff were helpful with suggestions on arrival.

Review 18:The restaurant needed more staff. They were so busy, the last night in particular was terrible. I had to stop a staff member and ask them to bring us drinks. Then she did not bring us water glasses so we had to improvise and drink that water with straws out of the pitcher.

Review 19:Our stay was nice, the staff hotel was generally helpful.

Review 20:Very poor breakfast, with low quality of the food. We bought a ticket for legoland on the ferry from Goteborg and it didn't give the direct access to the park from the hotel that is selling is own tickets. This was really strange. As a guest of the hotel and owner of a ticket for the entrance to legoland it seems very strange to have the direct access denied. Plus the hotel is very expensive.

Review 21:Perfect location to visit Legoland. We found the baby crib in the room and it was unexpected and we appreciated that. Free parking space even if it is very difficult to find the space.

Review 22:We stayed three nights. First night was in a pirate room with extremely fouled smell (arrived late evening with hotel full). They changed our room for the remaining two nights to a better and fresh Friends room. However, as experienced in other reputed organisations such incidents will have management intervention tosee what went wrong and to interact with the customers to at least wave the rent of one day.

Review 23:This is an experience you will enjoy with your children without any doubt. You must just put aside the thought of value for money. This hotel will break any standard you ever set for this. While value is great, the final bill will just be greater.

Review 24:Location

Review 25:Bed was too firm and no air conditioning in the room, opened the windows but no real ventilation.

Review 26:Very nice staff, good Buffet, great location for LegoLand park, clean and lovely themed room.

Review 27:Unpleasant smell of fungi in the room, unfinished repair of the ceiling in the bathroom, absence of the air conditioner do not add up to the impression that the room in this hotel cost 415 Euro per night.

Review 28:Very comfortable access to the park, friendly staff, very children-friendly design of the lobby and other public areas of the hotel.

Review 29:Both dinner restaurants were not good (buffet and a la carte). We paid extra for the amusement park view - a themed room would have been better.

Review 30:Plenty of space in the room. Kids loved the Legos everywhere!!!

Review 31:Facility is really old although there was some re-painted. We had girl, and asked them for girl design room, but room design for us was for boy.....

Review 32:The al la carte restaurant, Panorama, is very poor value - poor food, poor service.

Review 33:General helpfulness of staff was great. Real ease of access to Legoland, and 'play areas' for the kids everywhere throughout the hotel.

Review 34:A pirate room is quite small for 4 people to stay, and no good wardrobe to put clothes

Review 35:Location, decoration, staff. This is really great to stay with chillren adoring lego, kids were full of imressions cause of all decorations and figures and entertainments in the hotel. and a separate entrance to Legoland from the hotel is also a very good thing^)

Review 36:Old hotel, not maintained well, not clean but the food was the worst experience and it is very expensive.

Review 37:The location is great, very convenient for Legoland

Review 38:obe of worst experience with kids Very small rooms Decoration and furnitures are from 70's Unqualified staff specially reception Bad breakfast No service during day around lobby Make sure you dont loose your belondings in the hotel because our did not come back ( we forgot jacket at reception area and it get lost. Camera records could not seen even we insisted on) Overall hotel gives an impression of: Lego company would like to get rid off from the hotel. Hotel beeds heavy investment to become real nice one. Price & quailty level is very very low

Review 39:Only location, Nothing else.

Review 40:Nothing, really.

Review 41:Great staff which was friendly and accommodating. Pirate room was very popular with my daughter; two boxes with Lego to play with and creatively decorated with Lego figures.

Review 42:Dinner at buffet restaurant was terrible. Our reservation was at 8:30 (earliest available) but the kitchen closed at 8:00 (we were not told that we when made reservation) so there was very little food left and what was out was dried out and old. $140.00 for 2 adults and 2 kids was outrageous for this. Eat over at Lalandia instead (about a 10 minute walk). The bed was hard as a legobrick. Would rather have refrigerator for personal use rather than mini-bar, especially since breakfast options were limited.

Review 43:Newly renovated Friends room was adorable. I would only stay in one of the themed rooms as the other floors did not look like they had been renovated in a long time. Direct access to Legoland Park was fantastic. Front desk staff was very nice.

Review 44:Bathroom floor is cold as it has no heating. Room is worn out. Do not even attempt to stay in these rooms during the summer if outside temperature is over +15C. Rooms have no ventilation and no air-conditioning. Rooms do have large openable window but window has no insect screen. So during summer you will either boil or get eaten Hotel breakfast is not good. Selection and quality are bad. Breakfast is buffee breakfast which is bread, cheese, sausages, scrambed eggs, youghurt and cranola and you can make your own pancakes. As a plus side there is small selection of items which are lactose free and gluten free. There is no porriage or waffles which are common in hotels in Scandinavia. There is nothing green or fruits. Or there kind of was, first day there was some cucumbers and tomatoes, second day did not. There was some apples and bananas, but no fruit salad. On second day, the scrambed eggs smelled and tasted like vomit. The health authorities should do a check to the kitchen. The worst part is that the checkout time is 11 AM and as they are usually full you do not get extension and the hotel does not have secure luggage storage. This means that if your flight is in the evening you cannot stay the day in the legoland. Unbelievable! They do have room where you can leave the luggage but it is on your own risk and luggage frequently gets stolen from those kind of places as anyone can enter the room. The hotel took the laptop bag to the reception desk but did not issue ticket for it.

Review 45:This hotel is next to legoland and has own entrance to the legoland. It advertises being a hotel for children. There are lot of activities for the children right staring from the lobby where there are various attractions to keep the children busy during checkin and checkout. There are also various game rooms free of charge. Hotel has excellent gym and it is free of charge. Hotel has free wifi and it works well and is reasonably fast. Videos from the internet work well. Rooms are standard hotel rooms with some themes. I was in castle room, which was standard room plus some pictures on the wall. Bed quality is good. Two size pillows are available in the room. Shower and bathroom work well. Hotel buffee is very good for the children and good for the adults if you are meat lover. If you are vegetarian or seafood eater you end up eating salad. The salad buffee is excellent. Dessert selection is very limited and there is nothing to eat if you cannot tolerate lactose.

Review 46:The shower in our pirate room was pathetic, no pressure at all. The blankets provided are just too warm for summer. But this is something most hotels I've stayed in ar guilty of.

Review 47:This was the most kids friendly hotel we have ever visited. Starting from the small kids steps at the reception, to the lego "sandboxes" or building areas stategically placed throughout the hotel and lego block shaped chips for meals.

Review 48:The bed for children was SO bad. It was a doubble sofa bed for two children where the Sofa pillows were used as mattreses, which were in 3 pieces which all night were slipping around and almost falling to the floor several times!

Review 49:Lego bricks to play with for the children, kids movies pkaying different places and nice big Lego dragon at the entrance

Review 50:Excellent location and amenities. Children were happy both inside the room and in all play areas. We booked six months before our stay, so we managed to get an excellent room (overlooking the LEGOland park) at a reasonable price. From the park there is a special entrance, so you can always return to your room. The central area of Billund with several restaurants and two supermarkets (open till 20.00 and 21.00) is just one bus stop away (15 minutes walking), in the opposite direction from the central entrance to the park. We enjoyed our stay immensely!

Review 51:the best location for people want to play in Lego land. The room is big and comfortable for young couple with two young children. There will be free Lego gift in the bed and also have a box of Lego bricks to play, never worry about the children.

Review 52:I was a little bemused by the restaurant. On the first night I thought I must have chosen the wrong one. It was full of business people on a work convention, which was not a problem, but the couple near us seemed perturbed that they had to sit by two children. Our second night was a Friday night where the restaurant was full of families. I have nothing against business people ( I am one myself) but it was a strange mix - having to take kids into the formality of a business convention - with Lego figures and playrooms all around. Despite this the restaurant was of a good standard.

Review 53:Lego at every turn for the children to play with, in the rooms, in the corridors, wall art. You walk over a bridge to Lego land to get in quickly. Excellent restaurant, but only one to eat in - apart from a Tapas Bar. Really great

Review 54:Extra beds just made from the coach, not proper beds. Small room for a family.

Review 55:Direct access to Legoland, clean rooms, Wii-room for the kids, service minded staff

Review 56:- very old elevator - very old room (doors, phone, bathrooom tiles, wardrobe, cabinets ) - no professional coffe maker at breakfast time - scrambled eggs at breakfest (tasted like mixed by blender and cooked in the oven)

Review 57:- Professional reception - Main hall - surroundings - close to Legoland, Airport, LEGO office, City Center - gadgets in the room - restaturant - comfortable bed - smoking area away from non-smoking guests

Review 58:The furniture in the room was a bit old

Review 59:Excellent hotel! Friendly and helpful staff - they let us check in an hour earlier. Well-equipped fitness center. Great variety of food in the breakfast. We were satisfied with our stay.

Review 60:I was stayed on Nov, therefore Lego land was not opened. therefore, it was quite boring even they have special rooms.

Review 61:It was absolutely located at good place. It must be a good place if lego land is opened.

Review 62:I do think that the Danish prices are too expensive - a level of prices far superior to other countries where you could get the same for 70-80 euros, but, of course, it´s a special Legoland deal, so that is the justification. I also don´t understand why it is necessary to have a SURCHARGE when using a credit card!!!!!!!!!!!! In other countries, this is factored into the bill. It really leaves sort of a "bad taste" -- wasn´t the bill enough to pay!?!?!?!?

Review 63:The hotel is adorable, especially for kids (but a bit on the expensive side!). The motif for the hotel is obviously LEGO, and I liked the Pirates Corridor, where I was housed!! The breakfast is good, and there is so much to eat. You can make your own pancakes. For a family with young kids, the visit to Legoland is ideal - and for adults, it´s cute to stay there anyway, even if you are alone.

Review 64:Our seven year old has no complaints. We found it a little pricey.

Review 65:We liked paddling pools full of Lego in many places, the games room and "Yoda Chronicals" on continous loop in the fire engine in the lobby. Food was nice. Room was fun, especially the bunk bed for children and the boxes of Lego.

Review 66:Close to Legoland, easy to get to using public transport (train and bus), fantastic buffet dinner and breakfast, themed rooms that were child friendly, had good amenities and even contained Lego toys (of course!). Staff were professional and friendly.

Review 67:I disliked the musty smell of the carpets in the passages and my room. Perhaps a good carpet clean will do the trick. I disliked the appearance of the lounge seats near the fireplace, because the set of chairs and table I sat on/at looked well used and slightly worn out. New covers here will help lift the sophistication again.

Review 68:I loved the fact that LEGO was EVERYWHERE!!!! This brought excitement back into my life and many fun memories of the fun I had with LEGO as a child. The buffet food at the restaurant was great !! Thank you. Great view from restaurant into garden and the burning torches.

Review 69:There is no locked luggage room. No shops after 6 o'clock, you need to go downtown.

Review 70:My son loved the hotel especially the pirate room. Breakfast was tasty, kids liked making their own pancakes. Staff was helpful. Being in the Legoland was the best part of it.

Review 71:The price is not value for money. The food (breakfast and dinner) was very bad. The room was small (pirate room). Long lines at the reception. Do think twice if you are planning to stay at this hotel.

Review 72:The location and the Lego competition for kids.

Review 73:The breakfast is limited The service personnel has bad attitude except the staff in the reception the buffet dinner is limited Rooms are old and dirty Lack of cleaning The whole hotel needs a serious reformation

Review 74:Regular rooms are small; some rooms need fixing; no A/C, only a little fan that hardly works; flies in the bedroom; door no longer fitting well letting in the noise and light; breakfast period finishes too early and before 10am the staff is already taking it all away; very little entertainment besides playing with Lego.

Review 75:The location is great, right in Legoland and close to the centre of Billund and the airport. No need to wait to get into Legoland, tickets are sold at the hotel and the hotel has a direct entrance. Thematic hotel with Lego "reminders" everywhere; breakfast room is large, the fresh juice is great, the pancakes are good and fun for the kids but too slow; Lego play sections everywhere; wifi was ok but no common usage computers were available; the staff was very nice and helpful but the information centres in Billund are really good if you want to go somewhere else.

Review 76:The restaurant is rather expensive and there isn't much choice around there at night; not enough lego-related details in the bedrooms; not enough activities (besides lego); there should be more computers available for public use

Review 77:The location is excellent, if you are going to Legoland it must be the best place to stay; the breakfast is varied and the fresh juice is very good; the lego tubs around the hotel are great; the town is worth a visit during the day and it's about a 10 min walk away from the hotel; Billund's airport is only a short ride away by taxi

Review 78:Everything is just too old and smelly. It seems like there was no renovations for ages. And extremely crowdy everywhere, no matter where You go, especially at the breakfast. If You go to have breakfast at 9:00 while breakfast is till 10:00 there is hardly any normal food left, because there are so many people and hotel stuff simply doesn't refresh anything. Not worth the money!

Review 79:It's really close to Legoland and has separate entrance to the park with no lines. And lots of lego blocks all around the hotel.

Review 80:Too busy at breakfast time, 15 mins to make your pancakes, should have better room service menu for kids, lighting in room too dull

Review 81:Child friendly, great location connected to the park, good facilities, room décor and cleanliness

Review 82:The bathroom ventilation was bad. No AC, so we had to open the window and it was noisy at night. There must be cards instead of keys for the rooms! It's easier to lose the keys.

Review 83:Proximity to the park and the airport. The feel of the place, all the Lego sculptures!

Review 84:Nothing at all - I would happily have stayed on and so would the kids

Review 85:Everything! Yes it is expensive but you get what you pay for in this hotel and then some...Excellent in every way from check-in to dinner, the biggest breakfast spread I have ever seen.....all good!

Review 86:Loved our view over legoland. Waking up to it and watching the lights goout after midnight... A Life-Long lego Fans' dream. Only 2 mins walkfrom room to entrance. Staff, restaurants, ambience & more..GREAT!You can build everywhere! We started our trip here 4 weeks ago. Delayedour flights back to Australia to come back. Everything is Awesome!

Review 87:We were satisfied with the dinner buffet but not with the price. Especially the price for younger kids who need only some pasta and icecream. Even the tap water was expensive. Everything else was excellent.

Review 88:We liked everything, friendly and helpful staff, very good breakfast. Location is perfect what offers you the direct entrance to the park. If you want to go to Lalandia it takes only some minutes and there is a free transfer to and from airport. Lot of activities for kids in the hotel (they can play legos almost everywhere), contests with Lego prizes, nice outdoor playground. We stayed in a standard room what was fine for 2, other family choosed the adventure room what perhaps was bit small for 2 adults and 4 kids.

Review 89:The rooms are very small and hot for the price. Buffet is on the expensive side and breakfast selection for young kids could be improved.

Review 90:The location to the park is excellent. The activities for the children in the hotel are fantastic. A must stay if you are visiting legoland!

Review 91:It was not possible to open window and it was over 30c hot in the room.Sleeping was imposible. We complain about the hotnes and the staf say that the hotel was only 4 stars and thats why they dont have to offer ac.

Review 92:Location, near to Legoland

Review 93:Nothing to complain about!

Review 94:We were a group of four: two six-year old boys and two mothers. We stayed in Hotel Legoland for two nights and experienced two types of themed rooms. The first night we slept in a Pirate room and the second night in an Adventure room. Both rooms were finely decorated, we were delighted by each and every minute detail. The kids were mesmerised and appreciated the gifts they received in both rooms. We thought they would not get a second welcome gift, as we just moved from one room to another. Yet, they did! It was the gesture that counted, not the value, as we usually buy loads of expensive lego boxes for them! They do not lack anything. Everything was clean, neat, impressive. We also took a "trip" on the hotel corridors to admire other Lego masterpieces! Yes, you have to pay some money, but it is worth every penny when you see the happiness in your kids' eyes. The abundence of play areas in the hotel was also a plus. While doing the check-in or check-out, the boys were kept busy. Breakfast was plentiful, delicious and offering diversity. Panorama restaurant, as well. Nothing to complain about! Lego brick-shaped chips are a real craze!!! We visited Disneyland before and experienced staying in their hotel, too, yet my son concluded: "Legoland and Hotel Legoland, Billund is the coolest place on earth, mum!" And you know that kids are sincere! ;)

Review 95:nothing

Review 96:themed rooms are great, staff were amazing and were extremely helpful in all areas. Food amazing with a varied choice for all dietrey needs.

Review 97:Worn out hotel

Review 98:The bed had 2 single beds attached together to make it as a king size.. It splits with movement

Review 99:Easy access to legoland

Review 100:Breakfast Buffet average. Actually had to go to Lalandia to get decent meal.

Review 101:Convenient. Kids like theme rooms.

Review 102:The rooms are a bit tired and some have mould smell.

Review 103:Lego decoration everywhere is fun and the hotel is really made for children.

Review 104:Room not Lego-themed at all, a very standard hotel room

Review 105:A few steps to legoland, facilities such as gym and snooker are good

Review 106:Room and hotel is tired and old. Pillow and bed not comfy

Review 107:Convenient, next door to Legoland. Staff is helpful

Review 108:Over priced Restaurant food and service below standard

Review 109:Good experience for the kids

Review 110:Diffucult to eat at day time and evening. Every time you should to reserv a table for evening.

Review 111:Friendly personal, very clean hotel, perfect location.

Review 112:Price,not worth it

Review 113:The park

Review 114:Expensive but OK for a one off

Review 115:Very well organised for kids

Review 116:- No air condition inside the room.. very hot inside the room.

Review 117:Rooms were very very hot and very uncomfortable. Little privacy as rooms were overlooked making leaving windows/curtains open imposdible

Review 118:It has seen it's best time a long time a go. Desperately needs a face lift and new attractions. Very disappointing.

Review 119:The minibar

Review 120:Staff attitude No porters available No air conducting in the rooms Food choices not so great

Review 121:Lication

Review 122:Air conditioning would help

Review 123:Really nice staff

Review 124:Hotel restaurants do not provide food at all times

Review 125:There is no A/c in all room , Breakfast quality and presentation is very poor.

Review 126:The park is very good for all ages.

Review 127:Not good pillow.

Review 128:Nice room.

Review 129:Evening meal was a bit over priced for me

Review 130:Plastic cups in bathrooms - for this price and star rate For the money you pay dissappointed Poor value

Review 131:Location LEGO!

Review 132:Çocukların konforu için tasarlanmış harika bir otel.Legoland e ayrı girişinin olmasi gerçekten çok iyi olmus

Review 133:A plain dinner for 130eur? Prices are very high for a family hotel.

Review 134:Room was a bit dirty I dont think it was a 4* level

Review 135:In the park eveeything
