Reviews for Hotel 3 Stuben
Review 1:Nice perconal, good breakfast, clean rooms. Very good location, with convinient parking. Restorant is very good even if you stay another hotel - I recommend to try it.
Review 2:Steep hill to walk up, strange electrical buzzing that woke us up nearly every morning
Review 3:Helpful staff, good location in center of old town area, good breakfast selection.
Review 4:Bed is a little bit too soft for me.
Review 5:We had deluxe room, which is spacious and very pretty. Breakfast service is good, even when we arrived 20 min before finish time.
Review 6:Booked a deluxe room, but when we arrived, there was no reservation for us. Hotel gave us only double room they had for 1 night, which was a dated, tiny room overlooking a building. Wifi didn't work. We had to park far from hotel (and pay for it), despite having made a parking reservation well in advance. Hotel layout was very odd -- difficult to maneuver with luggage. Hotel realized booking error, and located a nearby hotel for us in Ueberlingen for following 3 nights, but never tried to make good by offering free parking, etc.
Review 7:Proximity to local attractions. Good breakfast.
Review 8:This hotel is on the edge of the town and is very easy to locate. Meersburg is a delightful town but parking spaces are at a premium. Fortunately, we had prior booked parking and had a reserved space when we arrived. The welcome from the receptionist was very warm and genuine. There is a lift to the bedrooms, an added bonus. Our room was delightful, very well equiped and comfortable. It overlooked the pedestrianised road to the town centre which is just minutes away. If you wish to walk down to the harbour it is very steep but well worth it and good to walk off supper on the way back to this fabulous hotel. Breakfasts were extremely good with an excellent choice of both hot and cold dishes. Our three nights here were a joy. Its easy to see this is a family run hotel by their caring attitude - nothing is too much trouble.
Review 9:Nothing
Review 10:The staff are terrific and helpful. The location is very good indeed - being in the centre of the old town. However, be aware that from the lake it is a long slog up hill!!
Review 11:Room was hot without air conditioning, but to be expected and no bath in any of the ensuite bathrooms.
Review 12:Big room, plenty of space in the ensuite shower room. Loved the sounds of the busy town below and the church bells.
Review 13:Was noisy in room, work being done on the gutters outside windows, people dining outside of windows at restaurant were very noisy.
Review 14:Nice staff, good breakfast, comfortable bed.
Review 15:Our room was not air-conditioned and unfortunately the weather was very hot during part of our stay. The ventilation in the room was mediocre at best; windows open only a few inches at the top.
Review 16:Staff was very helpful, room comfortable, and breakfast very good. Would definitely return.
Review 17:In the hot weather, the room with its wall-to-wall carpeting was very stuffy. We went out and bought a fan.
Review 18:The strawberry daiquiris in the bar were great!
Review 19:The restaurant was over-priced in our view. Room lighting was stylish but ineffective till one of the staff saved the day with a standard lamp. Room was a little small
Review 20:Location. Parking arrangements. Excellent personal service by staff
Review 21:Nothing to dislike - lovely place!
Review 22:Immaculate hotel; wonderful staff; located in the upper town near access to main highway, yet still a part of the old town charm. Rooms were excellent; the town was remarkable. Quiet, charming, well-appointed rooms, good breakfast, just a joy to stay there. Parking available upon request.
Review 23:Small parking required me to park my car in a parking kindly arranged by the hotel stuff but 300 m far: the very only small issue in a perfect holiday.
Review 24:The location and the hotel, food and confort, the staff
Review 25:Nothing.
Review 26:The room was small but very efficient. Everything was clean and seemed to be new. The staff was incredibly nice and the location was perfect for us.
Review 27:The WiFi code only allows one shot, so when you have three phones and an iPad it needs a bit of planning. The young waiter in the evening restaurant made a rather direct, clumsy and unecessary comment on the fact that we had reserved for 20h15 and arrived at 20h25.
Review 28:Room excellent, shower and toilet room totally modern and redone recently, decoration was very tasteful and low-key. Beds very comfortable. Cleaning service excellent (usually the room was made up while we werer at breakfast). Nice restaurant where we had delicious lamb and pork dishes. Staff mainly excellent.
Review 29:Free wi-fi was only for one device. It would have been nice to be able to use more than one.
Review 30:Very friendly and accommodating staff. A wonderful location. Nice breakfast that was included in our room price.
Review 31:room a little small, my room overlooked a side street which echoed with noise from passers-by and early morning rubbish collection
Review 32:very friendly staff, good restaurant
Review 33:small insignificant thing really - the pillows in Germany are inadequate.
Review 34:The owners & their wonderful staff treated us like friends from check in to check out. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone and we are planning to return next year.
Review 35:I had reserved a parking spot only to be told they didn't have any and that I would have to park elsewhere and pay a higher rate.
Review 36:The location was perfect for walking around and exploring the area. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was good.
Review 37:We came with the ferry from Konstanz and had to pull up the suitcase from the port to the town on top of the escarpment. It was ok but older or handicapped people should take a taxi even if it is only a few hundred meters.
Review 38:We liked in particular the spacy, with nice furniture and the extremely friendly staff, who even reserved bikes for us in a nearby rental. The location is wonderful, only few steps from the old town square and the castles.
Review 39:Noisy street, but outside temperature was high so had windows open. Not a major problem.
Review 40:Friendly & very helpful staff, beautiful room, great location, good breakfast. great breakfast.
Review 41:Hard to find anything wrong - only the access from the car park was a bit steep, but the staff are very helpful.
Review 42:Luxury bedroom, nice view, very comfortable and quiet. Good location right in the town, with reserved parking available.
Review 43:We watched the USA lose to Germany in World Cup in their hotel bar. But they didn't rub it in.
Review 44:The hotel is easy to miss driving by it, but it is so clean, modern and well located. We walked everywhere in Meersburg. ..never needed our car for 2 days. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly.
Review 45:My bed was far too soft and it seemed old and saggy. I mentioned it after first night, and they were very receptive and did improve it.
Review 46:Overall, very nice, and z great place to stay. The staff was friendly & helpful. The building & room interesting and well set up. Gteat location.
Review 47:EXCELLENT SERVICE AND LOCATION
Review 48:Friendly, helpful staff. Location. Good breakfast.
Review 49:Wifi not great in common areas
Review 50:Location. Decor. Breakfast being included in price. Staff.

Review 72:poor wifi
Review 73:location, architecture, personnel, furniture, bed. Clean room and bathroom. Good breakfast.
Review 74:Rooms staff meals service all excellent. Would like to stay there again
Review 75:Bedroom I had could have done with a fan as there's no AC.
Review 76:Charming staff - great restaurant and even a parking spot under the hotel!
Review 77:Good location, english speaking personel, very clean and quiet.
Review 78:Very friendly staff made us very welcome even though we looked like drowned rats. Hotel lovely and clean, and very comfortable.
Review 79:Quite a few steps to negotiate from street level to Reception. Odd that the hotel has a lift but does not include the entry level. Obviously a disadvantage with suitcases.
Review 80:Location, handy parking, attentive staff.
Review 81:Noise in street late at night - possibly due to World cup football
Review 82:The excellent location and parking facilities. The staff made us very welcome and stored our bikes for us.
Review 83:the only thing we didn't like was the heavyness and warmth of the duvet, but that is a common complaint in Germany
Review 84:we liked the quiet room with a view over the roofs, the comfortable bed, the small but efficient bathroom, the meal we had in the restaurant was excellent dna the waiter very helpful in picking the wine. The receptionists were helpful and friendly
Review 85:The view is mainly of adjacent buildings, but at least these buildings are attractive and maintained in the local style.
Review 86:The Hotel 3 Stuben is within the city walls, only 100 yards from an entrance. Parking is available nearby. Well located near the top of town. The food was above average and the restaurant always busy.
Review 87:nothing
Review 88:Everything, from the very welcoming staff to the restaurant. Rooms were perfect. The hotel is perfectly located to visit Meersburg and its surroundings. At a walking distance from the lake and the castle.
Review 89:A very helpful and friendly staff.Rooms very clean, and good location. close to bus stops if you do not have a car and wish to seenearby places of interest.
Review 90:As there was no air con in the room and we stayed in the middle of August a desk/floor fan would have been nice. The room was spacious but the bathroom in comparison was quite small and the shower had very little water pressure. Breakfast on the first morning was slightly chaotic with items not being replenished but by the second morning what I hope is normal service was resumed.
Review 91:We liked the location of the hotel located at the top end of the old town so walking around the old town and down to the river front was easy. The staff were all friendly and spoke English effortlessly.
Review 92:All staff were very helpful, the owner seems to take a lot of care & considerations for the client. The only hotel that we come across provide free orange juice, beer and water in the fridge! Good quality tea bag with proper boiling water. Parking was very convenient although not in house understandable 'cos a small town.
Review 93:Small bathroom, shower was moderate-need to change the water tube as half of the water was running outside. A ceiling ventilator would be nice for the hot nights. We stayed in July and was horrible hot. The manager in duty was very friendly and lend us a small ventilator.
Review 94:Already at the check in we were received with a big smile and warm welcome with personal touch. Overall, friendly personnel. Good and varied breakfast. Only missed some home- made cake, but this is a little detail. Comfortable bed and clean room. Good space for 2.
Review 95:What I didn't like is that I should have stayed longer.
Review 96:I loved this hotel, Amazing. The beauty of this hotel will grab you immediately. My best regards to the wonderful staff that give this hotel a perfection standards.
Review 97:Great location in the old town and next to Boden See. Easy access to Konstanz. Hotel room (and Hotel overall) was very stylish and breakfast was served lovely. Friendly Staff!
Review 98:Very nice clean hotel in a great location. Hotel is located at the top of a hill away from the lake so is set in a quiet location. Great restaurant and the rooms are clean, large and spacious.
Review 99:Hotel restaurant was closed on Sunday night as it was their day off. Pity if you had intended to eat there. It wasnt a major issue for us.
Review 100:Staff were all very helpful , very approachable. Nothing was a problem
Review 101:A miniature bar of soap, suitable for a doll's house (I was told itis not the local custom to provide a bath size bar of soap - but wasgiven directions to a store across the street where I could buy a baror two). Also, if you want a washcloth in Europe - bring one from home. For some reason all the hotels with free Wi-Fi insist on giving you apassword and sign in procedure instead of just making it open. A minordisappointment was breakfast, which, while adequate, was a bit skimpyby local standards. No soft boiled eggs (a staple at most Germanbreakfasts), (just hard, dry scrambled eggs, but all you wanted) andthe cold cuts were a bit skimpy and lacking in variety (no lachs akasmoked salmon).
Review 102:Meersburg is a delightful town, situated on the Bodensee (Lake Constanceto English speakers). Much to see and do, including a small ZeppelinMuseum. Great restaurants like the Winzerstube (near the ZeppelinMuseum) as well as a fancy restaurant in the Hotel 3 Stuben, very nice,I dined there twice, but a bit formal and quiet. The hotel is generallyclean, pleasant, modern and well appointed. The owners are on premisesand one is the chef, so you do get personal attention. I stayed here toattend Aero Friedrichshafen (a yearly aviation exposition which I oftenvisit). The bus leaves every 20 minutes of so just a few steps from thehotel door. About :45 min ride to the exposition. If coming by air,Zurich is convenient, then to the rr station downstairs at the airport& by train to Konstanz, short bus ride to the ferry, ferry ride toMeersburg and a short walk to this nice hotel.
Review 103:Location difficult for diabeld and elderly customer Shower to smal Car park not by the Hotel, not secure
Review 104:The very friendly staff & \Owner Very good bed Very good food Quiet location
Review 105:Very helpful, kind staff.Lovely ,characterful rooms.Right in the middle of a beautiful town
Review 106:Love it!
Review 107:nothing, all was great.
Review 108:great great hospitality.
Review 109:Location was excellent and parking was very convenient. Good breakfast and lovely restaurant for dinner. Excellent service.
Review 110:Nothing to comment. Parking space lacking but intelligent solution devised.
Review 111:Attentive run hotel with knowledgable helpful staff and owners.
Review 112:lack of lounge areas
Review 113:locality - quaint area
Review 114:The staff was very friendly and informative. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was very good.
Review 115:Quite an uphill walk with baggage if you are coming in by boat. Room styling is a bit dated.
Review 116:Very good breakfast. Large rooms. Very comfortable.
Review 117:Very friendly keeper and staff. Great location and very nice rooms.
Review 118:Charming hotel in the center of Meersburg. Hotel staff was very professional and friendly. Large room. Breakfast was included.
