Reviews for JUFA Hotel Meersburg

Review 1:The absence of a small refrigerator in the room.

Review 2:The staff were absolutely fantastic. We left my wife's medicines behind when we left but the staff left no stone unturned in ensuring that were were couriered to us.

Review 3:Clean, efficient hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Definitely a focus on the younger age group, but perfectly pleasant for the "mature traveller" as we have categorised ourselves. Very nice room and the hotel itself is spacious a very nicely decorated. Located at the top of the hill - great restaurants down in the town. Yes, there are hills! Definitely worth taking the ferry to Lindau.

Review 4:This hotel is suitable for families, not a romantic weekend away with your spouse. The rooms are very basic. We booked a double room and had to push our single beds together. The hand towels were hard and rough. The pillows were rubbish too. The Wifi did not work and the receptionist upon arrival was polite but overly direct and in a rush to get rid of us so we did not feel like we could ask any questions. There were also lots of screaming kids at breakfast and the only warm food served was eggs. Car parking at this hotel is a nightmare too. Either you have to pay €50 deposit for a "resident's certificate" and park for free km's away from the hotel or park nearby but pay €1 per hour from 9 am - 8pm and every 3 hours go back to your car to get a new ticket. (The park meter only let's you pay for 3 hours at a time)

Review 5:This hotel is definitely suitable for families. The rooms are very basic and suitable if you are out and about ALL day and are just wanting a place to sleep. There is a playground at the back side of the hotel.

Review 6:The free WiFi is only available in the lobby, not in the rooms. We were very dependent on WiFi so this was very disappointing to us.

Review 7:This property was updated and seemed newer. We had a nice comfortable, clean room. The breakfast was very large and very good.

Review 8:Expect to do some walking up and down in the village, e.g. to the car park or to the water/boats.

Review 9:Friendly atmosphere. Decent and clean accommodation. Two windows in our room which helped to cool it down on those hot summer nights.

Review 10:Very expensive for a very basic hotel. Room could have been cleaner. Large school group staying when we stayed which made breakfast chaotic.

Review 11:Good central location. Receptionist was friendly on check-in.

Review 12:1. No WiFi at all in the apartment. 2. It's not believable, but there is no Cellular coverage (Telecom, O2, Medion) or very poor coverage in the area of apartment. It was not possible to make a phone calls at all !!! 1. I time they just forgot to clean the room (towels, soap, etc).

Review 13:1. Very good location 2. Free parking in 6min walking distance. 3. Very good breakfast

Review 14:It will take about 15min to walk from the hotel to the lakeside. I won't say the location is bad since Meersburg isn't big, but if you want to stay near the lake, you might check other choices. We live in the 3rd floor, room is smaller than we expected.

Review 15:Staff are nice. Actually, we found out after checking in that JUFA is a branded hotel focused in family vacation with children. Therefore, there are many children and strudents. If you are looking for a quite hotel, I won't say this is the best choice in Meersberg. There is a parking lot quite next to the hotel. Since we left early next morning, we didn't try the breakfast...

Review 16:I booked 2 rooms. But the reception gave me in 2 different floors.Even 1 room is in the top of the hotel, very small and hot.

Review 17:location is very good and free car parking supplied. Family style.

Review 18:The room was large, but dirty and there was no wifi ( well, not that worked).

Review 19:The location was perfect in the old town near shops and restaurants. The family rooms were of large size and comfortable.

Review 20:the bed wasn't comfortable. There were no blinds for the windows. So the light woke us up very early.

Review 21:the hotel is located in the centre of the town. Breakfast was good. Our children loved the playground and the toys. good internet in the rooms. The staff was welcoming and they speak good English.

Review 22:wifi didn't work for us, didn't try to problem solve since we didn't need it

Review 23:spacious family room, center location, breakfast. A good experience

Review 24:Staff providing services everybody really easy going central located in Meersburg the hotel rebuilded from an old hospital therefore outstanding and hudge rooms

Review 25:the room is comfortable, but it's quite small and the low ceilings somewhat uncomfortable. it's very good for one night stay though

Review 26:nice location, friendly staff and good breakfast, with many options for kids as well

Review 27:There was great television but no way to listen to anything in English No transportation was available to go down by the peer We arrived later and very hard to find a place to eat

Review 28:The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean Breakfast was excellent

Review 29:We travelled with a 3-year old child. The location of the hotel was excellent with really pleasant walking distances to the main attractions and the lake. Staff was friendly and our little traveller enjoyed the playing room and the outside playground. Breakfast was enjoyable too, so I can only recommend this hotel as being a perfect choice for families with children!

Review 30:It's hard to find a room for 4 in a hotel in Germany. The room actually comes with two rooms, one room with a queen size bed and the other with a bunker bed, which ideal for a family with two not so young kids.

Review 31:Awesome location, friendly staff, good German breakfast. Was next to the Christmas market. The staff helped locating a place to park for free.

Review 32:Very clean! Perfect location! Tasty breakfast!

Review 33:Very small room, price very high. Stayed in Hilton last week for half the money.

Review 34:Friendly personnel, cleanliness.

Review 35:Good location

Review 36:Offers very good quality for the price, excellent location.

Review 37:the wifi is very lame

Review 38:the wifi didn't work that day.

Review 39:the location is good.

Review 40:No aircondition

Review 41:Great hotel for families

Review 42:Breakfast isn't as expected very limited and basic.

Review 43:location

Review 44:Expensive, 10am check out

Review 45:Clean, breakfast.

Review 46:Breakfast can be better

Review 47:Location and value for money

Review 48:Can only reach wifi from the lobby.

Review 49:Centrally located but calm. Despite very high temperatures, our room on the second floor was cool without aircon.

Review 50:The location of the property in the heart of the old town.

Review 51:If I know I will stay with a large crowd of teenager , I won't chose this hotel.It,s a nightmare.

Review 52:helpful staff

Review 53:only missing a fridge in the room

Review 54:Clean spacy rooms, nice, historic building, very good location

Review 55:Ask for 2 rooms next to each other because of the small kids but got 2 seperade rooms in 2 differt floors

Review 56:Great location

Review 57:Small rooms no AC

Review 58:Friendly staff and cleanliness.

Review 59:Need to checkout at 10 am. A little too early.

Review 60:Breakfast was very good Big room

Review 61:The wi-fi was weak and was a hassle to connect to.

Review 62:Location was excellent. I loved having the ability to rent bikes.

Review 63:Free parking, but a bit far away as the one closer was full

Review 64:Large rooms , nice breakfast

Review 65:The parking over night is free, but later than next 9am, you need to print the parking tickets before that time. Otherwise, a punishment bill will to your car, which wasnot clearly communicated by staff.

Review 66:Near to old town. But without too much noice. Nice place to live with child.

Review 67:Room was too small for two people. Our room was on the 6th floor and the lift/elevator did not work during our stay (3 nights). We had to carry our (heavy) luggage 6 floors.

Review 68:Great location and wonderful breakfast which was included in the room price. Towel warmer in bathroom was great as well.

Review 69:Parking was quite far away, which might have been a problem had it rained (it didn't). But a small price to pay for the excellent location.

Review 70:Exceptionally we'll located, extremely clean and well kept. Rooms cleaned each day with a personal touch. Spacious rooms with comfortable beds. Breakfast well prepared and presented by hard working staff, with lots of variety to please everyone.

Review 71:Loved the location, in such a quiet and beautiful village. Loved the breakfast at the hotel, very divers and excelent quality. Loved the silence and tranquility during the night. Hotel dedicated to families with kids, with toy room and playground.

Review 72:You need some luck to find a parking place closeby

Review 73:Convenient hotel, especially for families. Within walking distance of restarants, centre and boulevard.

Review 74:- We arrived at 11:30pm on July 5th 2013 after 3 Hrs driving. Got the room on the 4th floor. The elevator didn't work - it was appeared that it is for long time, nobody notified us about it in advance. One of managers by phone (probably shift manager) tried to explain me that for 190eur the hotel provides the room, but nobody promised working elevator. After long negotiations in late hours the lady in registration desk invited 2 hotel employees to come and to deliver our 4 suitcases to the 4th floor.- little room for 4 beds (family room) - Bad water stock in the bath room with shower - water from the bathroom flowed to the room. We put one towel to close the gap underneath the door. - no kettle in the room

Review 75:- Nice lady in registration desk and 2 hotel employees who brought up our suitcases to the room on 4th floor.- Brakefast was sufficient

Review 76:There was nothing we didn't like.

Review 77:We liked the rooms and the price was reasonable. We thought your breakfast was really outstanding. In fact, we liked the entire experience.

Review 78:Parking is 10-15 min walk; dinner was expensive and not good, rooms are very small, no toiletries provided, uncomfortable beds/bunk bed noisey

Review 79:Location was great, free parking and wi-fi, breakfast food was good, coffee/drink bar available in lobby, indoor play area for young child

Review 80:Locating the hostel in the dark was a challenge and there was parking available in a nearby parking garage but we only stumbled on it by accident. If you choose to or need to park in the city parking lots, be prepared for a long and very steep walk.

Review 81:Everything about this place is top drawer - more like an upscale hotel room than a hostel. The room was spacious, well equipped and very comfortable. Breakfast was included and was a true feast. The hostel is located in the centre of the old city and this only adds to its appeal.

Review 82:not a big point, but not being able to check in before 5 p.m. was a bit inconvenient.

Review 83:superb location, the room was simple but very clean, very child-friendly...

Review 84:Large room and bathroom. Spotlessly clean. Excellent buffet breakfast.Got the room at a budget price of 37 euro on booking.com instead of thewalkin price of 95 euro

Review 85:Shower drains were really smelly! Could do with basic tea, coffee facilities in room

Review 86:Clean fresh design of rooms, bar and dining area. Great location in heart of historic town.

Review 87:A very nice clean and comfort hotel

Review 88:Hard to use Wi-Fi, parking in public paid parking down the street.

Review 89:Good value, convenient laundry service, good location

Review 92:The place is good

Review 93:not close parking

Review 94:JUFA is in the middle of a very cute town, and on the edge of Lake Constance.

Review 95:Brackfast was not so good

Review 96:Location

Review 97:WIfi is difficult to access

Review 98:Breakfast is good
