Reviews for Hotel am Paradies
Review 1:Cold shower, just in my room. We understood it was just unlucky for my room. Parking costs €5, but was returned for cold shower as compensation. Overall its ok.
Review 2:Location Friendly english speaking staff
Review 3:This is a very basic hotel, but is clean, has adequate breakfast (which is very inexpensive) and is very handy to Jena Paradies station. Excellent value, for budget minded traveller who isn't looking for luxury.
Review 4:They said they had a free wifi which is why I choose this hotel but tell nothing worked and all night I couldn't do my work. And there was not a restroom in a room so i had to share the one on the aisle.
Review 5:Nothing. It was worse than expect!
Review 6:If you want to sleep between a train station and a bus terminal, you should book there! Busses waiting with running motor all night long, room in ground floor with no AC while the weather is like tropical summer, bathroom behind a glass door across the hallway, no table, no chair in the room - how nice ...
Review 7:Friendly stuff, easy booking
Review 8:Big and cosy room (we had a room with shared bathroom booked, but they offered us another one with its own bathroom as it wasn't booked for that night), friendly staff, very clean, great location, tasty breakfast (only sweet buffet)
Review 9:i had nice quiet room quite far from reception and internet had very bad signal. but that is the only thing, everything else was exeptional.
Review 10:i stayed here couple of times, this hotel has very personal and great customer service. Lady at the reception did not had a problem to check me in very early after my all night trip. this was great.
Review 11:Across the street from the train station of the same name and four minutes walk from the center. They voluntarily gave a discount (after I had booked) as there was going to be a party upstairs... even provided ear plugs. Anticlimax. Could hardly hear it and it was classic Big Band, with college students!?
Review 12:Everything just perfect. The receptionist very nice and helpful, the hotel in the centre of this marvellous city, very comfortable and cosy. Our dog was treated as a special guest. I'll visit Jena once again for sure!! I strongly recommend this place to everyone!
Review 13:The picture of the building is misleading - the hotel is in low ceiling ground floor location. The decoration is dreary. The electricity failed. the wi-fi only work in parts of the building. Much better accommodation is available in Jena at the same or lower rate. So bad was my experience that although I had paid in advance for two nights I left after the first.
Review 14:Location near train station Helpful staff
Review 15:The staff was very helpful, very nice people :) Also, the location is perfect for a foreigner who doesn't know the city at all, because is right at the main station! <3
Review 16:our room was just in front of bus station (I mean 3 meter away from the bus!) and buses comes every hours of day and night. Difficult to sleep well. But I guess the bus station was built after the hotel and the owner had no other choice.
Review 17:the very near train station, quality of the room, decoration & clean. Sympathie of the owner.
Review 18:Everything was fine. I would stay there again. It is better to pay when you check in because there may not be someone on the desk when you need to check out.
Review 19:staff was not allways awalable
Review 20:lokation
Review 21:Breakfast was modest
Review 22:Location, the hotel itself. Personal was nice. Good shower room
Review 23:It is on the ground floor
Review 24:Very near to Jena paradies train station
Review 25:Next to bus stop, noice in the night
Review 26:Good location Friendly staff Simple breakfast
Review 27:The staff was extremely friendly and helpful... We'll come again...
Review 28:In front of the station. It's very convenient for public transport.
Review 29:shower door leaked, so bathroom got flooded
Review 30:near the stations (train/bus) rooms clean and spacious good design kitchen use possible
Review 31:just besides the room. It"s a parking area. So not good if opening the window
Review 32:Internet is very poor.
Review 33:We arrived within the check-in suggested time slot but nobody was at the front desk nor answered at the telephone numbers provided. It took a long time to find the staff. Reportedly it was possible to pay with credit card but once in the hotel the staff requested payment in cash. Photographs provided are inaccurate or misleading at the best. The front view of the villa is that of a party hall. The access to the hotel is on one side of the building and at a lower level.
Review 34:Location and price. Cleanliness of the room.
Review 35:accecibility of staff somewhat noisy if room is towards Knebelstrasse, buses are passing near your window
Review 36:staff helpfulness staff attitude close to center
Review 37:Although the location is very convenient, it is awkwardly close to the central bus stop: the bus stops at a distance of about one meter from your pillow....
Review 38:Very friendly staff. Generous check out times.
Review 39:I liked the location. The young man at the desk was very nice and gave me good, clear information as to how to get where I wanted to go. The room, the bath and the bed were clean and comfortable. The TV was excellent and had a wide range of programs. For the money it was a very pleasent surprise.
Review 40:Fantastic value for money. A large spotless double room, huge walk-in shower and comfortable bed. Plus LCD TV with BBC and American news, and WiFi with an excellent connection. Use of a well equipped kitchen to make coffee (provided) in the morning before heading out to get breakfast elsewhere.
Review 41:The lady at the reception was very friendly and helpful. I have arrived quite late - at 9pm on Sunday. I called the number displayed on the hotel's web-site and the receptionist have arrived in 10 minutes by bike!
Review 42:Ground floor site of all rooms means that opening windows exposes one to traffic noise and noise of passers by.
Review 43:A clean comfortable spacious room.Kitchen facilities a bonus.
Review 44:There is on one side of the hotel Bus terminal and on the other side Train station. Therefore I was waked up several times during the night..... In my room there was not any table.
Review 45:Staff very frendly and very helpful. Good position. All the busses, trains and tram outside the door of the hotel. Beautiful rooms and very clean. Internet wifi perfectly functioning.
Review 46:+ very very friendly staff, helped me even with lending a flat iron:) + very professional people in the event location above: all hotel guests are invited to free entry and a free drink on top! they also were able to recommend the best restaurants in town! + also the beds are very convenient and wlan works well!
Review 47:No taxi-driver knew about the existence of the "hotel". The ordered breakfast did not arrive. This is not worthy of being called a hotel.
Review 48:This place is more a series of bedrooms than an hotel : No one at night and in the morning, which makes a real security and comfort issue. Bedroom equipment is reduced to minimum. No wifi was available. Breakfast is poor, even compared to train station cafeteria. Located in between a noisy road and the bus station
Review 49:Clean and new bedrooms. Sufficient heating. Low price. Friendly young person at check-in. Located in front of the train station (my reason for booking there).
Review 50:There are only two things about which I would like to make a suggestion: The wifi only worked in the bathroom (we were booked in room number 9, if memory serves). The other thing was that the curtains did not provide privacy, there were too short so others could stare directly into the room and I think they were see-through as well so anyone walking or driving by was potentially able to make out the silhouettes of the guests.
Review 51:I loved the interior the most. The rooms were spotless and the staff very welcoming, friendly, helpful and customer-focussed. They loved the feedback we gave them and were very attentive and really made an effort in order to make our stay a memorable one.
Review 52:This is no longer really a hotel - it is a bunch of rooms under a music venue frequented by the local university. The Receptionist/cleaner only worked a couple of hours per day. I was the only person staying as all other bookings had been cancelled but apparently they were unable to cancel Booking.com clients. The music continued to 6.30am - on the first night I left and stayed with my daughter who lives in Jena; on the 2nd night, which I was assured would be quiet, the music continued to 6.30am. I left and booked into another hotel and only paid for one night
Review 53:Central location
Review 54:Very good,clean and comfortable and beautiful。 入住时虽然没有在场的服务员,有封信和钥匙都准备好留给客人,服务也不逊色。房间干净舒适漂亮,给人留下很好的印象。
Review 55:Location close to several nights bar... Too noisy until 4 - 5 in the morning.
Review 56:Nice room
Review 57:Nice room with big bathroom. All very clean. It can be a bit loud, but we slept very well.
Review 58:We remained for three days and they did't clean and didn't change our sheets and towels in these days.
Review 59:The position near the tram station
Review 60:no wardrobe, no table and chair at least in room No. 1, no breakfast, reception not open in the morning
Review 61:Location, quality WiFi
Review 62:Nice kitchen, comfortable place, like home.
Review 63:Very good help from the front desk. Room was clean and comfortable.
Review 64:5pm check-in
Review 65:walking distance from train station, comfy bed for the money.
Review 66:Entrance location seems a little odd coming from the station.
Review 67:Very roomy showers, excellent for tall people.
