Reviews for Grand Hotel Heiligendamm
Review 1:The rooms have stains on carpet, for a hotel like this, should not happen. The service can be better. Turn down service to demanding in that they want to get done. Spa should have more staff.
Review 2:The grounds are beautiful, the service is good, the food is excellent, excellent Spa.
Review 3:The Pool was overcrowded with children, the wellness area bland, the steam bath temperature sub-optimal, no staff in sight to rectify this and on the way out someone who shrugged when listening to our remarks.
Review 4:A truly great suite with a nice view of lawn, in a castle like building. Even with a glimpse of the Baltic Sea :-)
Review 5:nothing springs to mind
Review 6:Elegant, beautifully designed. magnificent location, fantastic pool, early nineteenth century German Neoclassical gem, food excellent, service impeccable.
Review 7:stairs to go to our room but did not have problem , birds droppings on the sitting/lounges in the balcony
Review 8:Great location, Nice view and friendly staff.
Review 9:the strict order for the kids to leave the water at 6 pm sharp, although the complete pool was empty,..... This will not motivate parents to come again with their kids!
Review 10:fantastic area, breakfast, beach coffee bar!
Review 11:Waiting fifty minutes for a soup and over thirty for a coffee and cake.A terribly cooked Indian curry which lacked an essential ingredient-the cook forgot it-and made me ill.Children jumping into the pool when I was swimming in it.
Review 12:Lovely setting.Very comfortable room.Friendly staff.Spa facilities of a very high standard. One first class dinner.
Review 13:Prices were pretty steep, but all in all: value for money. Service in the restaurant could be better
Review 14:Location, beach facilities, grounds, roof terrace, sports facilities, luxury, breakfast on the terrace, views, even with a fully booked hotel, nothing was overcrowded.

Review 23:Stayed to attend my brother's wedding. Lovely setting by the beach, nice spa and great service.
Review 24:Fantastic setting, perfect for relaxation and walks along the beach, great service, fantastic breakfast buffet, classy altogether.
Review 25:The doors are awfully heavy to open, apart from the main entrance, who is automatic!!!
Review 26:I loved the situation, charming!! The service and the food!!
Review 27:Service of staff in Nelson below any 4-5 star standard. Missing customer oriented attention front desk. Pool area poor...sauna and wet area dirty ( mentioned at check out ). My wife even could not stand anymore and wanted to checkout.
Review 28:Located at seaside.
Review 29:A little surprised/ disappointed with old CRT television in the bedroom - a flat screen should be standard. Also lack of wifi in the bedrooms is a serious shortcoming nowadays. However, both of these fairly minor points did not spoil our 2 night stay.
Review 30:Fabulous Grand hotel with a real sense of history. Beautiful buildings, excellent food at Nelsons Bar and a real treat was having breakfast on the terrace in warm September sunshine. Lovely location in a quiet spot on the Baltic Coast and where our sea view bedroom exceeded our expectations. Probably our favourite hotel during our 2 week tour around North East Germany.
Review 31:Considering that the hotel grounds seem to have available space, I would suggest the possibility of free parking (even if it would be acceptable for a fee to be charged for valet parking). With this in mind, I consider € 25 to park a little bit too much, especially taking into consideration that it is possible to use much cheaper public parking spaces nearby (a possibility kindly transmited by the hotel staff).
Review 32:One of the best hotels I have ever been to. Wonderful location just on the baltic coast; lovely buildings and architecture; marvellous spa facilities; overwhelming service; a wide array of culinary options (gourmet restaurant Friedrich Franz is definitely worth a visit); great breakfast and very helpful staff.
Review 33:Room a bit small, no WLAN in room, just LAN with cable, which seems a bit outdated. Instead of "sea view" lots of trees and a construction site in front of my window, could've saved the extra money as sea was only visible if you stood on the balcony and looked around the far corner. If you book the sea view rooms, ask to stay in the "Mecklenburg" house which is really right next to the beach. Or the "Grand Hotel" house which is still better, but also currently has construction under way nearby.
Review 34:Awesome staff, friendly and they love what they do for you, from the concierge to the room service. Great restaurants, fantastic breakfast, beautiful location, directly at the beachfront, surrounded by old pine tree woods. And btw: 25 Euro/day is for valet parking. If you park your car yourself 300m away, it's just 10 Euro/day.
Review 35:needs some renovation in details parking too expensive 25€/day
Review 36:excellent price value ratio very pleasant staff top location
Review 37:The staff was unattentive with breakfast order, massage was the worst i ever had
Review 38:The view and closeness to the sea
Review 39:The whole atmosphere
Review 40:nothing
Review 41:Excellent rstaurants, and very close to beach
Review 42:Room Service was poor, service staff could be a bit more like it would normally be in a 5 star hotel.
