Review 1：Unfortunately we were not provided with the room discussed in previous emails with Alfonso the owner. The three of us were cramped in the room provided. Also the garden and pool were not available in August when the ground floor apartment was let and no parking available either. Disappointed this was not made clear up front.

Review 2：Great location overlooking mountains. Lovely village setting with good tavernas offering local food and wine at reasonable prices.

Review 3：Noisy room, no possibility to make thee/coffee in the room, small balcony (we had the smallest, but there are some big ones too). The garden was private in august. The pool was not actually on the property of the hotel, but right next to it. We had to walk a short distance only to find there was a locked gate.. This didn't make it appealing to use the pool.

Review 4：Beautiful location and magnificent view. Very kind staff. Picturesque village, with the beach and touristic places (Granada, Malaga, Ronda) within driving distance.

Review 7：When we arrived the hotel was locked, we had to call a number to speak to the reception and open the door for us. The garage was down a short but very steep hill, every time we went to access our car the garage was locked so we had to walk up the "short but very steep hill", find the receptionist somewhere in the building to collect a key, on a very hot day it was not funny.

Review 8：Hotel Rural Sierra Tejeda was located in the centre of this small village (Alcaucin) and easy to find. When we arrived (2pm) the hotel was locked and we had to call a number to announce our arrival & gain access to our room. The room was very clean and tidy. Ideal for a short stay. The staff (when we could find them) were very pleasant, we couldn´t fault them. We were only there for a one night stay and therefore our views reflect this.

Review 10：The location was perfect - great views from the hotel and fantastic area to explore. We have booked for Xmas! Surprising number of local expats there but had to speak in Spanish in all the shops etc. The owner and her daughter were charming.

Review 12：It is lovely and clean but the lack of simple facilities spoilt our stay no heating in rooms no tea coffee making facilities we were freezing cold as beds were only made with summer bedding I sheet and 1 blanket had to borrow a heater from my brother who has an apartment in Alcacin. The last 24 hours of our stay we had no hot water it was reported to manager but not rectified!!! We were offered a bottle of wine but declined offer would like compensation.
