Reviews for Cadaqués Bayahibe

Review 1:The breakfast meat choices were limited. They only served pork products. Add some beef, chicken or turkey.

Review 2:The place was clean and beautiful. The staff was attentive and pleasant.

Review 3:The beach must to has a sign that write: there is not land only rocks, you have to go at the pier to can swim.

Review 4:The comfort bed was excellent and the towels like new.

Review 5:No bad experience. Just would need to drive or take a taxi to town.

Review 6:Beautiful views and clean surroundings. Friendly staff. One can opt to spend a quiet relaxing time or socialize.

Review 7:They need to be a little more clear about the Waterpark hours... My four year old was sad she couldn't use it during most of our stay.

Review 8:Loved that there were no tourists. The room was beautiful and the entire resort was well maintained and convenient

Review 9:Staff is OK but they could be more friendlly - at least to say you hello or good morning!!!! But it is irrelevant if compared with the whole picture.

Review 10:Everything is amazing - location is just perfect

Review 11:they charge you for wifi and mention "but we do not guarantee that it will work" - unacceptable. The room we stayed in needed a bit of refurbishment

Review 12:Nice beach and nice staff in the restaurant

Review 13:The location was beautiful and quiet, but a little out of the way. Places to eat were not eay to find so you were kind of forced to pay for all your meals on-site. For the price, it should have included breakfast,at the very least.

Review 14:The resort was beautiful and clean! We loved the Mediterranean feel. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Review 15:I asked 2 months ago one baby cot for my kid of 10 months and we arrive in the night after 15 hours of travel and they haven't!! We found a bottle under the bed. 4 times some people knoked in our door in the night!!

Review 16:Hot water did not work, we take shower with Cold water the whole weekend, cleaning staff did not clean on time, I called twice to advise about it. Wi-fi should be free for the room rate. Finally, I hope these inconvenients are fix next time we book againg...we enjoy it anyways.

Review 17:I like the apartment, very clean, spacious and well located at front of swimming pools. Food is excellent, good attention from restaurant staff, and resort office.

Review 18:We were under the impression that management does not really care about the independent guests (as opposed to those who have long-term rented or bought apartments in this residential complex). For example, breakfast started with one hour delay and was incomplete (things were being put in place gradually so we had to eat the stuff that came out first because we were on schedule with our itinerary for the day). Although we were there out of season and there were only few guests, we would expect the same treatment as when a big number of residents arrived. For the weekend, for residents, the whole place has been brought to life (bar, restaurant, entertainment, etc.)

Review 19:This seems like a very self contained residential city. It is very secluded but not isolated. It has all you need and it is good for couples as well as for families. We really liked the beach, pier and a bar on the water. Aqua park and on-water entertainment is fun (so what if we're not kids anymore :) ).

Review 20:bathroom very small and bad shower system , safety box not working all time , internet not free and expensive . restauran tvery expensive

Review 21:the beach an the sea

Review 22:Food was very expensive I think they should at least include one drink ticket per day per person with unlimited tea, coffee and pop to give a better atmosphere around the pools.

Review 23:A great place for families with the water park & no crazy bars. The rooms were air conditioned, beautiful decorated and clean. The ocean was picturesque with clear water with white sand bottom--Definitely bring your snorkel gear!

Review 24:I payed for 2 days of internet service which didn't work, after 2 hours of trying I went to the reception to ask for my 10 dollars back and the receptionist said I had to come back the next day and he never gave me back my money and offered me pizza, which I don't eat give me my money back, then the receptionist charged my account 433 dollars then told me that the transaction didn't go through and I had to pay cash, only to realize when I went home that the transaction went through now I have to again deal with these idiots about releasing the charge that they put on my credit card , What a inconvenience and to be honest They are very uneducated and incompentent and hated to deal with people like that, who for small things will inconvenience you for nothing

Review 25:I don't like the ocean, because isn't recomend for children. Is very peligloso for children. La playa no es buena para niños.

Review 26:I like to the park, swimming pool, the food, the bedroom.

Review 27:Restaurants closed early

Review 28:Facilities were very well kept

Review 29:I believe the internet should be included.

Review 30:We really loved how tidy the facilities were and how amazing the staff was!

Review 31:Location@luxury condo style

Review 32:In breakfast they didn't have orange juice, the beach has a rocks inside.

Review 33:The bed was very confortable, the breakfast was very good.

Review 34:Too expensive

Review 35:Clean, comfortable

Review 36:The prices.

Review 37:The apartment.

Review 38:Staff not very friendly nor helpful

Review 39:Facilities are well mantained

Review 40:the pasta restaurant was over priced and the food was garbage

Review 41:the pool was was great and the bar was fantastic

Review 42:The water in the shower was salty

Review 43:too many noisy Italians in the hotel

Review 44:wonderful place to relax. Friendly staff

Review 45:The food is not include

Review 46:Everything

Review 47:Location is the farthest in Bayahibe, staff at poolbar hardly ever there, hours of the waterpark, beach needs reconditioning and cleanup.

Review 48:Water park, pool and restaurant were great!

Review 49:This property was obviously built with hopes that it would be anotherCasa de Campo but it misses the mark because the service is so bad. Wearrived without a reservation and they quoted us a crazy high rate. Itold them what it was on line, but they wouldn't honor that and toldme I should have booked on line. I went to my car, and booked on line. When I came back in, she found the reservation and proceeded to addcharges on until the rate was about the same as the first one shequoted. We had to pay for the water park even though it would not beopen during our stay. My son was with us and they insisted we had to payextra for him even though he is a child. (I actually had made the online reservation for 3 which included my son). Tired, of arguing I saidfine and took their rate. Then she said the room would not be ready forat least 1 hour. (It was 2:40pm and there was no one else stayingthere). We stayed for 2 nights and the most people we saw at any onetime was 6. When we were allowed to check in, it was the worst room inthe complex, overlooking the front parking lot. The furthest room awayfrom the beach, restaurants, and pool. They obviously were trying tomake us pay for trying to get the fair internet rate. Then (and this isthe best yet), we get in the room and can't get anything to come on,lights or ac. I call the front desk and she says "because yourefused to have a bell man help you with your luggage, he couldn'tshow you how to turn on the electric". We didn't refuse, weonly had 1 bag to bring in and my husband rolled it to the room afterthey gave me the key. It didn't even seem like there was a bell manthere to help. I was so infuriated, I asked for the manager. (In themeantime we figured out the electric. You had to put a key in a slot.)Karen got on the phone with me and accused me again of refusing to let abell man carry our bags.

Review 50:The beach needs a little more sand since you hurt your feet entering the water.

Review 51:There is a lot to do for the kids, waterslides, pool, soccer, trampoline. The room was nice and comfortable.

Review 52:Rooms are a bit small and some general maintenance is required. The beach is nice as long as you do not want to go into the water, as there is no sand slope.

Review 53:Quiet, entertainment for kids is perfect, swimming pools are good, restaurants are perfect and not over prized

Review 54:Our room was offered for 4 people but is was extremely small. We had issues with the toilets and air conditioning. The restaurant was average and service was very long. In this location there is not much to do outside of the resort - most of the pools and restaurant are private to resorts, so you really stay indoor and you enjoy more choice in the food that what was offered

Review 55:The beach is small but well equipped Nice swimming pool

Review 56:Unfortunately there were cockroaches in our Studio. We saw three or four every day, including in the kitchenette cupboards. It's a real shame because otherwise the resort was spotlessly clean. We reported it and they sent someone to check, but they couldn't solve it.

Review 57:The resort is beautiful, laid out like a sleepy Mediterranean village, with a fantastic pool, shallow enough for kids but good for swimming (and loved the swim up bar). Location is right on the beach. Man-made reef is good for snorkelling and there are plenty of cabanas. It's so quiet there is always space on the beach, pool and the restaurants, which we thought were both very good - recommend the paella! The small waterpark is good fun.

Review 58:I though the beaches were not as pretty as the ones you find in Punta Cana. It's a shame they were spraying anti-insects just at the time we were starting breakfast. They could do it earlier.

Review 59:We loved the fact that there were only very few people and so we had the sun loungers and the swimming pools pretty much for ourselves. The à la carte restaurants were cute, well located and good.

Review 60:Our room was terrible: the Queen-size bed was like sleeping on a camel´s hump! My husband and I couldn't sleep through the night, changing positions continuously we´d wake up each other and were up as early as 4 - 5:30 am every day for 8 days in a row! And we were on vacations. My 8-year old boy stepped on a piece of glass while going to the pool and they didn´t call myself or my husband, they took him to the nursery and the "doctor" applied antiseptic and put a band aid. Thank God I´m an MD and checked it and the piece of glass was still there and stopped the copious bleeding after that! "The room service could be anytime between 9am-5pm", so it was at 5pm!!! therefore all day long our room was so undesirable to be at. We had to request it for at least after lunch. After we came back and talked to my husband´s aunt who had been there, we knew about so many cool tours in the capital and other places (like where they make the rum) but the staff at the hotel only offered two trips to the islands. We went to another resort, right next to Cadaques, and had the chance to ride in a catamaran and snorkel and it was great for my husband, our 4 children and myself. When we arrived at the room, there was no power, we had to turn on our cell phones to even insert the house key (the lights didn´t work in the hallway either), then like fold-blinded test every lamp to see if any worked to be able to look for the phone and call the reception. There was No hair dryer, even though they offered there was and we paid US$1000 to uprate; the power plug wasn´t working in the main bathroom (so no use for the hair iron either. They fix it few days later and even more days later brought a hair dryer that really didn´t have room for and sit like on the edge); the main bathroom wasn´t inside the master room. We gave them so many chances to make it up to us, but it didn´t happen.

Review 61:The place is nice with nice weather.

Review 62:Nor so very good WiFi and the prices are to high in the restaurant.

Review 63:Very beutiful resort, though the beach had lost some sand. Very good food, but a bit high prices in the restaurant. Nice staff, escpecially William in the restaurant! Very calm and relaxing resort, we were almost alone there. Very good room, large and spatious and very good equipment. Excellent with washingmachine and blowdryer.

Review 64:The reception sucked, it took them an hour to get us checked in and another houry to get us the key. hurt up already we were the only ones there. oh and we were charged the tax when I had an exoneration for it cause I used this web site.

Review 65:Had a cool homemade reef for snorkeling.

Review 66:The quality of the food of the only restaurant of the hotel is poor and the staff extremely slow (even though there were very few people that week) Too much chlorine in pools, everybody had stinking eyes. Pools slippery for kids, we had a few injuries

Review 67:The Italian restaurant grand caffe cadaques, not part of the hotel. The games in the sea for children but the water in the pool with the water games was not very clean even though very much chlorine. The site is very clean in general

Review 68:I registered through the internet and I am a dr resident. The room feesthat I paid for were increased with 28% for taxes which was not told tome in the transaction. Another issue was that my credit card was chargedwith a double amount and a cancellation was done.

Review 69:Rooms were clean and beautifully decorated. Excellent bed and good food

Review 70:- Advice: Discuss good price for the tours considering the prices offered by the local (taxi drivers, travel agencies in the village). - It was not a problem but be aware that you will need a taxi or car to go the villages, where you ll find bars and cheap restaurants.

Review 71:- Excellent! New and confortable room for a fair price. Huge pool, helpfull staff, paradisiac quiet beach and a breakfast in a nice bar restaurante in front of it. A great place for a romantic couple or a family. Bayahibe is the perfect place to enjoy part of the caribbean beauties in peace and plan to know one of most beautiful place in Republica Domincana: The Isla Saona. The hotel could organize that day but the price was high. Our choice and the best offer was given by the taxi driver.

Review 72:Food-choices limited. One restaurant on the premises with somewhatlimited menu.

Review 73:Fairly new, clean, well-maintained resort. Not crowded, nice beach andin-the water platform. All is well-kept.

Review 74:very poor wireless internet service. If you are a business traveler and need high-speed internet call in advance to see if they have upgraded. Taxes upon checkout were a bit steep considering it's not an all-inclusive. Breakfast should be included.

Review 75:friendly staff and beautiful location. Restuarant excluding breakfast was wonderful. Pizzas very good.

Review 76:part of a apartment complex - hence a bit lifeless

Review 77:Not very cheap for such a big complex

Review 78:Nice location at the end of Bayahibe Damascus Beach close to the National Park.

Review 79:No bar near thepool in October.

Review 80:The atmosphere, serene and family oriented. Nice staff. Loved the apartment. Would love to return.

Review 81:food was terrible

Review 82:beach, waterpark

Review 83:Restaurants are very poor

Review 84:The Beach

Review 85:Rooms were clean and comfortable. Beds were awesome. Resort was quiet, clean and restful. Beach beautiful and restaurant good.

Review 86:servise-nobody clean my room 2 days, nobody change my bad 7 days, administration not friendly.

Review 87:I like the sea, nature.
