Reviews for Hotel Begoña

Review 1:I had ordered one double bed, but there were 2 single beads aside. The shower in the bathroom was not good

Review 2:I liked the underground parking, even if it was difficult to find the way by car to the entrance.

Review 3:I found my room a little noisy with buses etc. on the road outside.

Review 4:Good central location.Room was a good size. Good bakeries and stores nearby. Close to the central bus depot and a laundromat!

Review 5:Post code was hard to find using Garmin, but a doddle with iPhone maps!!

Review 6:All of it lively staff making your stay memorable. The rooms were comfortable and the hotel was close to the twin park where there were lots of nice restaurants. Would stay again

Review 7:The reception ladies were unhelpful and rude. No aircon and pull de sighs facelift. The top floor rooms were extremely hot

Review 8:The male staff in the restaurant were extremely helpful despite our lack of Spanish. Locations the centre of the city was good

Review 9:The decor is rather dated, but - as mentioned - it actually was interesting and not bad as such! The lift was very slow and not quite reliable. Breakfast not impressive, but good it's available all the same.

Review 10:The location was fantastic The staff was helpful and patient (!) throughout, at any stage of day or night. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable Decor - was dated, but it nearly felt like travelling back in time to 70s! :) In a very peculiar way, we all liked it.

Review 11:Wi-fi was poor on the 3rd floor, at reception level it was excellent

Review 12:The location is very central, and is a good standard 3 star with nothing exceptional but again nothing to write a bad review about. I will stay again next year, I have stayed there before so the experience was positive. This is a 3 star traditional spanish hotel with decor out of the 1980's in a central location...Hotel Begona is not a boutique, trendy, quirky hotel and neither is it a modern 4 star hotel. I like it that way.

Review 13:Far from the beach, if that is your objective. It was not my objective.

Review 14:Restaurant is good also and has excellent service Right on "Paseo Begoña", a main center of social interaction Five minute walk from the main bus station

Review 15:Wifi was poor

Review 16:Very clean. Good location. Staff helpful.

Review 17:Very large impersonal hotel, with a lobby so small that it overflowed, which led to grumpy staff

Review 18:Rooms at front of Hotel on lower floors can be a bit noisey..

Review 19:Clean rooms helpful staff and good Breakfast.

Review 20:too big lot of noise no air conditioning

Review 21:central location

Review 22:All the furniture was really old 1970s. (For me it should not be call 3 stars more similar to 2 stars)

Review 23:Nice Location in the center of the city.

Review 24:The birds outside were very loud at night. It was hit in the room with no air conditioning.

Review 25:The location was great! The staff was helpful!

Review 26:The hotel was fine, but nothing special. 100€ for the room is excessive. The walls were quite thin. The wifi did not work, nor did the room telephone. We had to use our mobile to call reception. When we returned for our bags at the end of our stay, we coincided with a couple whose bag had been taken/stolen by another guest. Very unfortunate.

Review 27:Conveniently located. Clean, room was comfortable but nothing special.

Review 28:You have to go through the restaurant to access the elevator and this was inconvenient, especially with suitcases and the wifi didn´t work for a whole day. It is a great place, but definitely not for people in their 20´s, it is definitely geared towards older people.

Review 29:The room was very spacious, the restaurant served great local cuisine, the staff were helpful and it was in a great location.

Review 30:It is quite old, you still need a key to open the door instead of a card.

Review 31:The location

Review 32:everything is very old style and unconfortable not even an hair dryer in the bathroom very far from the most interesting part of the city

Review 33:nothing

Review 34:tv only one channel

Review 35:good staffing security

Review 36:poor bottom of the bed

Review 37:Location, room
