The family-owned Hotel Abaco was originally built as a bakery in the 18th century. Nowadays, it offers cosy accommodation in its 6 individually decorated rooms, all with attractive, antique-style furnishings.

Review 1：Our shower head didn't stay up properly initially but as soon as this was mentioned they immediately proceeded to get it fixed. In the end we were more impressed with how keen they seemed to look after their guests than the minor inconvenience of one 'sagging' shower, :)

Review 2：Really nice and caring staff. High quality everything from soaps, towels, linen to breakfast jams, breads, pastries. Basically they treat you like family wanting the best for you.

Review 3：The only slight negative was that the wifi reception, at least in our room, was a bit hit & miss. But that won't stop us from returning.

Review 4：This is one of the finest hotels we have stayed in. The owners and staff were faultless in their welcome and their attentiveness to our comfort and needs. Really nice breakfast. The hotel is just a few minutes walk from the centre of the old town, and also the promenade. Altea is a lovely town, highly recommended.

Review 8：I have travelled all over the world, but I have to say that this hotel is one of the best so far. The staff and the owners are exceptionally attentive and friendly, the rooms are beautifully decorated, the breakfast of high quality.

Review 9：Perfect location, the room was immaculate and the complimentary coffee and cakes is a nice touch. Definitely one of the best B&Bs I've stayed in!

Review 10：The wifi reception was very weakin our room (Moulin Rouge) which made it pretty much unusable. We were not deparate for internet access during our one night stay so did not mention it to the management at the time, but after we returned home. In fairness, they did day we should have let them know before as they might have managed to improve it.

From the minute we booked they followed up with emails asking if they could help with anything else, asking when we would arrive, and checking onfood preferences/allergies etc. Roomes are all individually themed and very nice and comfortable. Proximity to the old town is also excellent.

Review 15：Very friendly welcome, immediately thought the hotel was charming and unique. The room "America Cup" was spacious, clean, the attention to detail was superb. Welcome drink and strawberry chocolates very welcome. Breakfast was exstensive, would definitely stay again. I got brownie points with my partner for booking here!

Review 18：Staff: I appreciate that the staff weren't falsely sweet, but instead acted genuinely pleased to have us there and left us alone to our own devices. Location: The lovely restored hotel is in a perfect part of town if the Old Town is in your agenda (and it absolutely should be). It was a bit difficult to find at first (We came by bus.) but the locals kindly steered us in the right direction. Breakfast: Excellent variety to choose from.

Review 20：Adelina, Thomas, Julie, Kellie and Natalia took care of our every need and even some that we hadn't thought of. Thomas booked us an amazing reservation at one of the top restaurants in Altea where we were taken care of excellently. Adelina found a charger for one of our electrical devices when we came up short. She arranged for our clothes to be laundered so I didn't have to worry about all that during vacation. I would recommend Hotel Abaco as an oasis of calm in our sometimes too busy world. It is a real gem.

It was quite unique in a market that can sometimes be focused on profit only - not this hotel! - the focus is entirely on the customer. From the time my granddaughter and I arrived until we left we were totally taken care of and will return again as soon as we can.

We don't need an offer for rose petals or bath salt (enjoy for € 5,50!) or a glass of (Free!) sparkling wine in the reception area.... There's nothing SO special to warrant such hefty room rates or the hype as created on the website. This is NOT a Parador, it's a cute, intimate place and should not pretend to be otherwise.

We will not forget Rita's breakfast performance, Adelina's never ending will to make everything perfect and at last but not least Thomas's own made chocolate to us on our anniversary day. To all of you looking at this hotel don't hesitate to book. The location is perfect, old character with a lot of excellent restaurants both in old town and at the beach, close to the beach, easy parking and very good beds. Not to forget the air-con that was working perfectly.

Review 77：The hotels location was excellent and allowed us to park up and walk everywhere. The care and attention to detail is evident and the owners show how it can be done within a budget. Each of the 6 rooms are different and we stayed in two which were both perfect. The bathrooms in particular would shame many larger hotels.

The location of the hotel was perfect for exploring the old town of Altea, and the character of the hotel fitted in perfectly with where it was situated. Review 98：From first arriving we were met with a glass of cava and a chocolate covered strawberry.We were in a superior room which was superb and the jacuzzi bath was lovely.Breakfast was really fresh and ample.But the stars of the hotel are Thomas and Adeline who are just lovely people.We had a lovely 4 nights and hope to return again sometime.Oh and if you happen to be lucky and get some of Thomas,s dads home-made banana cake its delicious.

Breakfast is buffet style and high quality. The availability of car parking was really helpful. The perfect place to celebrate my birthday.
