Reviews for Hotel Zum Pfingsttor
Review 1:Staff were fantastic and very helpfull. The hotel is very quiet and in a fantastic location, seeing a Stag and Deer every morning out of your bedroom window.. Breakfast was continental style, lovely.. Being english, the only thing missing in the room was a kettle for a cup of tea, or coffee making facilities, but i'm sure if I asked, they would have found an alternative. Definately will book with them again when I re-visit the area..
Review 2:Called them and explained we would arrive at 11PM.. Upon arrival everything was closed and nobody answered the phone nor opened the door. Only by ringing a neighbor where we saw light, they contacted the owner and he opened for us..
Review 3:The web site implies there is a restaurant in the hotel. This does not seem to be open in winter. It is 10km to Rinteln and late travellers will not necessarily find somewhere to eat there either. The Hotel Kassel where we eat, was turning people away by 20.00. I'm sure the Boss in the Hotel Pfingstor would book a table in town if one asked him when the booking is made. Otherwise you will go to bed hungry.
Review 4:View, spacious room, everything was clean and in a good condition, tasteful furniture, huge balcony with splendid panorama, close proximity to walking in the Weserbergland, very quiet, but close enough to drop into Rinteln and enjoy the Christmas Market, which had a refreshing amount of local produce, and the Hotel Kassel was a dream of a restaurant.
Review 5:It was too far out from the main Rinteln town for us (10kms approx).
Review 6:The hotel was set in a beautiful, quiet, countryside location. It was what I imagined a German hotel to look like, quaint and pretty. The room was large, well laid out and extremly clean. The typical continental breakfast was excellent, with a huge variety which catered for all appetites. Every member of staff I encountered were very helpful and went out of their way to make us feel welcome (even with their limited English).
