Review 1：Two minor things: (1) noise from out on the staircase is very audible in the rooms, but this didn't bother me much because other guests were generally quiet (2) the WIFI login seemed to work for only one device at a time, so you have to disconnect your phone, for example, if you want to connect your laptop (and then wait 10 minutes for the login to lapse). But I wasn't travelling for business so this didn't bother me unduly.
Review 2：All staff I met were friendly and helpful. I asked for advice on bike rental and walking trails and was very happy with the recommendations I got. My room (#3) was spacious, clean, had nice decor, and the balcony was exactly what I was hoping for. Potentially the room's location (right above a restaurant with an outdoor garden) could get a loud in the high season, but I had absolutely no dramas during my stay. On the subject of restaurants, there are a ton in the immediate vicinity so you always have your pick of where to eat and drink. I was also very impressed with the free breakfast's variety of food and drink (including about eight varieties of tea). One of the best hotel breakfasts I've had all year actually.
Review 3：- Excellent location . Just next to the Prien pier and people can easyly take the boat for going to the islands of beautiful lake Chimsee. The main attraction of Prien is Herren Insel and visiting the palace on the island. It is exceptional building with marvelous garden and I think it is one of the ''must see'' points of the area. - Hotel staff is very kind and friendly and one of them helped us for taking our suitcases up to our room on the 2nd floor. This is quite unexpected case for small hotels in Germany. - Check in/check out is very easy even it is done in the other hotel '' Schlossblick '' and breakfast is served there as well. I need to mention that breakfast buffet was great with lots of variaties . Everything was perfect and tasty. - The Pizzeria and bar on the ground floor of the hotel is very nice. Pizzas are one of the best in the area as well. The ambiance is very good and romantic. We enjoyed a lot. - Room is small , but as we spent all the time outside , it was not the problem. - Free parking and free wi-fi are also positive points.

Review 7：Location is perfect to enjoy Lake Chiemsee. Watch the steamship from your window. Ride the steam locomotive to town. Restaurant underneath the hotel closes around 10:30 pm, so noise is not too much of a problem. Very simple accommodations, but spotless. Excellent breakfast buffet. Staff are very friendly and the receptionist speaks English. Beach and pool and nearby Primavera resort is affordable and great for families. Accessible to hiking and sports activities. Will come again.
Review 8：The rooms are noisy (above a restaurant), have old furnishings, and cannot be darkened (only light curtains provided). The Wi-Fi signal in the room was very weak. No air conditioning!

Review 12：Sunsets from our window, great lake view. You know your location is great when everyone gathers under your balcony to watch the sun go down. Add great meals and close proximity to everything and you have a winner. We stayed in the older section on the second level. It was just what we wanted. Be sure to check out the Palaces on the islands.

Review 19：We got the room in Hotel Schlossblick, did not know the exact reason (except for same owner) but really liked this upgrade. Hotel next to Chiemsee lake and very closed to the Pier. Comfortable room, also got one extra bed (booked double bed). Great breakfast with many kinds of eggs for our girl :)
Review 20：I booked a room in this hotel at the end they made me stay on top of a pizza restaurant with no noise isolation. Street noise ended up eventually but I could hear all the details of my neighbors toilet trips. Bathroom ugly. You cant shower standing up. Leaking bath. Not worth 100 euros a night.

Review 22：As a guesthouse, this was just fine. The room was adequate and the facilities OK for a few nights. The private balcony with (limited) views of the lake was small and slightly crumbling. The kitchens were directly beneath our window and the cooking smell was always with us. After three nights we were able to move to the absolute luxury of the Hotel Schlossblick next door, which was owned by the same company. Don't get me wrong, the Westernacher Gastehaus is a good budget option, but I was hoping for a little bit extra, and I got that and much, much more when they found us a room next door at the luxurious Hotel Schlossblick.
Review 23：The room we booked, number 12, has a private bathroom, I knew that when I booked. The bathroom has a sloped ceiling so you have to sit in the bath to have a shower, using the mixer tap, but because there is no shower screen or curtain the rest of the room gets soaked if you are not super careful. There was no coffee making facilities in the room. The tv was tiny, old and mounted high on the wall making viewing difficult. The restaurants were swarming with flies. The room was very noisy, you can hear the guests in the next room, which was inbetween our room and our off suite bathroom.
Review 24：Location is excellent, right on the lake. Staff were very helpful the guesthouse part is above the restaurants and there is no sign for the guesthouse part. The staff walked us to where we needed to go, which was a nice touch. Free car parking on site.

Review 52：small room, tiny cramped bathroom/toilet, lack of hot water, defect toilet seat(never got fixed in 8 days), tiny TV and no cable (as advertised) for 2 days the TV did not work at all, for another day the remote did not work. The room did not look anything like the pics on your website! The room is located directly over the beergarden (noisy until midnight) after midnight excessive noise from staff running up and down the stairs an talking loudly Sometimes shouting). Not restful at all. This never changed even after several complaints and promises from staff to fix this problem (senior staff as well - like 2IC). I took pictures and I would be happy forward them to you after I have downloaded them later this months.

Manysteps (w/o elevator)to a barely basic room (with the bath across thehall, (not as assumed in room) and the location,because of the localtraffic net, took us 25 min to even find. But at the last day of our trip we were planning totake this at 8 but after waiting upto 8-30 also we did not get a propperbreakfast, they were so late in arranging all the staffs.
