Review 1：hairdryer did not work, telephone periodically malfunctioned too - or was it the switchboard? A local friend rang me several times and often when she was put through to the room and I picked up the handset there was only silence, so she had to ring again

Review 3：The hotel being close to a road junction, meant our room 314 was overlooking the road and was very noisy even with double glazing and ear plugs, but we did see the water.

Review 5：Poor housekeeping in as much as anything used such as soap, sponge etc not replaced at all. My friend had to ask for more soap to wash hands with so pretty poor. They also charged for the still water very tight! Reception staff professional but not particularly friendly & didn't ask about our stay or show any interest. TV channels all news no other choice which was tedious. Fitness area tiny, pictures misleading. My friends door key card kept not working so had to go to reception on at least 3 occasions which was frustrating. Overall I wouldn't bother going there again, you would probably get similar service but with a smile for half the price!

Review 11：The hotel really is lovely and they are making a lot of effort to respond to reviews. One of the main reasons though that we booked this particular hotel in Gijon was it's rooftop bar and the fact it had a swimming pool. We stayed Monday through to Wednesday night and unfortunately only found out when we got there that the rooftop bar was only open Friday through to Sunday. Apparently there were renovations also but we were very disappointed that we couldn't see the view of the beach from the rooftop, and even though the gentleman at the front desk was very apologetic and nice, it was a disappointment and was not clear on the hotels website when we were researching it. Also although we stayed mid June, the pool was closed as 'it wasn't warm enough' and wasn't going to open until 20th June. This again was another disappointment and would probably have influenced our booking had we known prior. Again though - a lovely hotel, and well worth a visit, I would just recommend checking with them about the opening of facilities before you book.

Review 12：The staff in this hotel were fantastic- the bar staff were very obliging and polite and were always friendly and smiling. Breakfast was really lovely - and again the staff were great. You can ask for an omelette- try the ham and cheese ones as they are made fresh and are fabulous! The location is great, just alongside the beach and lovely walks out the cliffs to the right. This is a luxurious hotel and extremely comfortable. Our room faced the pool and was lovely and quiet-rooms to the front would have a beach view but could be noisy with a main road outside. At the end of each floor is a large window with a view of the beach and we enjoyed sitting there in the evenings. We didn't eat in the restaurant but the bar food was very tasty and reasonably priced.

Review 13：The Hotel sometimes rents the roof garden out for events before the main season starts so Saturday night you could have a loud musical party above you if on the top floor... we did !

Review 14：Loved all the facilities though the roof garden was not open to guests. Superb location and great views from the front. Stunning breakfast worth every Euro and the sauna, stem room and Jacuzzi were nicely presented and worked ! Parking excellent and secure.

Gym is very small, which is okay, but gets very steamy in there when training (which isn't okay - needs better air flow. Poor cooked breakfast options (except for omelettes). Not a good location if you just want to be in the city centre, as it is 1 mile walk away (though the walk is lovely along the beach). Restaurant expensive.

Review 19：Bed/pillows firm and comfortable - superb really. Clean rooms. Very good fruit / juice options for breakfast. Excellent, helpful staff. Superb location for beach and if you have a car (easy access without going all through the city and easy free parking nearby). Good sauna / steam room.

Review 22：I hated not having a kettle and tea making facilities in our room. Nothing worse than not being able to have that cup of tea when you first wake up. Also when you ask for milk with your tea and coffee it is always the long life UHT variety, terrible, best to leave out the milk. In general the pillows were poor, but useable. But best of all the circus was in town and just across the road from our seaview room. The noise disturbed us so much that we asked to be and were kindly moved to a quieter room at the rear of the hotel after the first night.

Review 23：Very helpful staff and modern, clean facilities. The air conditioning was efficient, essential and easy to use. The food was good in the bar area and reasonably priced. Very relaxed atmosphere, with pleasant views of the surrounding area from the rooftop bar. Very close to the beach and a number of local cafeterias. Liked the free WiFi.

Review 66：The staff helped to arrange our taxi from the airport to the hotel and then for our return journey too. This was arranged by email prior to us going . When we arrived at the airport sure enough our taxi was there with a man displaying our name . It was very reasonable cost indeed . Whilst staying at the hotel the staff could not do enough for us to ensure we enjoyed our stay .

The beds are very comfortable and it is very well situated with relation to the beach and shopping areas. Highly recommended and I would return.

Review 71：The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable but a little tight on space with the extra bed for our toddler. We got breakfast in the Café which was fine (toast or buns, coffee, tea etc) and much cheaper than the buffet breakfast offered at €14 per person!!! We had dinner in the restaurant of the hotel and that was excellent.
