Reviews for B&B Hotel Dortmund Messe

Review 1:Family room very small Tea, coffee kettle in every room needed

Review 2:Every room should have kettle. If you travel with children hot water is needed sometimes

Review 3:Nothing - couldnt expect more from a budget hotel

Review 4:location right next to motorway and close to football ground. Breakfast great, free parking. TV in room. Staff friendly and spoke good English. Very accomodating with our late arrival/check in

Review 5:This hotel is too expencive. The price and the quality did not match. Room was very small and the bed was not good to sleep. Only one pillow. breakfast was okay, but was is worth 7,50€? There were no bacon, eggs or sausages. No salad, tomat or cucumber. DOG payment was 8€/per a dog/per night, it was a lot for small dogs.

Review 6:Great location. Fair place was near by. Easy to travel to city center by tram.

Review 7:The pillow was to little, the bed is very small and to low . Free Wifi coud be better.

Review 8:I liked the breakfast presentation and the bathroom was a suprise for me, very little but enough space. Near to the Football Stadium und the city. Enough Parking Space.

Review 9:The tea/coffee machine in the hotel entrance is expensive and only serves very small cups.

Review 10:Great location for the stadium and arena. Basic facilities for a cheap price, the rooms were clean and comfortable. 15 minute walk to a bunch of nice bars and restaurants. We have already booked our next short stay here.

Review 11:Autochecking system, really convenient when you came late. Comfortable room, all is clean, good place (near underground) and not far from center. Good continental breakfast for low price.

Review 12:Breakfast is served until 10:00, and they lock everything away 10:01. Make sure you are in the breakfast area at 9:00 to be finished by 10:00. Otherwise the place was good.

Review 13:You need to go for breakfast first or germans will eat everything and stuff is not happy to give you more food, even for which you paid separately.

Review 14:Location, soft beds.

Review 15:The hotel is in an excellent location for the Westfalenstadion and is only a short metro ride from the city centre. The facilities are all you need for a short stay in Dortmund and as a base to explore the city. Would definitely recommend.

Review 16:Myself and 2 friends used this hotel for 2 nights to visit Dortmund and the Westfalenstadion. The hotel was in a great location, only about half a mile from the stadium, and with a train station right opposite. At less than 35 pounds a night per head, its a bargain. The room was a good size, clean and tidy with good facilities. I will definitely recommend it to anyone and am likely to visit again.

Review 17:Bit of a walk to city centre if not using tram. Plus not many bars/restaurants nearby.

Review 18:Ideal location for football stadium. Right next to tram station also.

Review 19:Maybe have kettle in room for tea and coffee

Review 20:The location to stadium was excellent and few lively bars within walking distance but away from hotel so no disturbance also ideal for tram stop into town 1 minute away

Review 21:Only bad point is it never had a bar or restraunt for meals but it is a B&B after all ...

Review 22:Good value for money .. Very handy for Dormund football stadium and only 5 min on the underground to city centre .

Review 23:No restaurant or bar only a vending machine for snacks and drinks

Review 24:Ideal location to watch football at Signal Iduna Park. Only 4 stops on the U42 into town centre.

Review 25:Room has no chairs. Breakfast was not included in room price.

Review 26:The hotel was 400 metres from the football stadium. The hotel was 20 metres from a subway stop. Hotel had vending meachine with beer inside.

Review 27:No bar in hotel but vending machine has beer. No keys for hotel doors all codes (was just a bit worried about loseing the code as the rec is not 24hrs)

Review 28:Went for Germany v Scotland hotel is a stones throw away from stadium and 5 stops on the tram from the main Sq (tram stop outside hotel). Taxi from Dortmund station was €10. Rooms have German sky sports English speeking BBC/CNN World news

Review 29:Apart from the juvenile decor, I cannot think of any other things that I didn't like.

Review 30:Next door to U Bahn station. Within 300 metres of the Westfalenhalle and Signal Iduna Park. The hotel is clean, modern and comfortable, although the decor appeaars to be designed to appeal to guests of age 21 and under. Set amongst the woodland surrounding the Westfalenhalle, it is also a quiet and restful spot.

Review 31:Very basic room, and bed was quite small and uncomfortable.

Review 32:Quirky football decorations in the room were fun for my son. Place was clean and tidy. Staff at reception very friendly.

Review 33:no hairdryer in bathroom.

Review 45:Easy access to city

Review 46:Nothing around to eat

Review 47:Good facility for the money paid

Review 48:No bar

Review 49:The hotel is situated in an ideal location for the football stadium

Review 50:We were visiting the Intermodalbau exhibition for two days and the close proximity was excellent for this. I was able to park the car and not have to drive for the duration of our stay. Not having to drive also meant being able to have a drink. Places to eat out close by was also an advantage.

Review 51:Prices are put up for the football weekends. At usual prices hotel would be good value.

Review 52:Great location for the football. Hot drink vending machine available in the lobby. Parking available - we even got a space on a busy football weekend.

Review 53:I am sure that I forgot a little pillow and I called and sent e-mails and they just don't care. They don't answer me. When I called, the guy just said "no pillow, no pillow" and hung up the phone! The thing is, that pillow was really important for me. If you forget something here, forget it, they won't move a finger to help you.

Review 54:Everything was great, except for the breakfasts - quite a poor quality.

Review 55:Just two steps to the stadium - perfect localisation. Also well communicated with the city centre. Nice, small but tidy rooms. Nice and helpfull people at the reception desk.

Review 56:They charged 3 breakfasts per day on my credit card, since my wife and I rented a family bedroom. I informed them accordingly and let's see what happens.

Signal Iduna Park is 5-10 minutes away by foot, the u-bahn U42 stop is right next to the hotel, so you are about 10 minutes away from the center of Dortmund, and you can even walk to the center, it takes about 40 minutes. I would definately go in this hotel again if i visit Dortmund!
