Reviews for Romantik Hotel Greifen-Post
Review 1:I read the food was great ..and it was but found the lunch and dinner menu's over priced for what you get...almost 70 euros for lunch for 3 people. ..asparagus is not caviar but they charge like it is
Review 2:Very comfortable and affordable. ..best breakfast we had on our entire vacation
Review 3:Parking is a bit of a problem as the garage is some distance from the hotel. It was hard to assess which of the 3 restaurants to eat in and there were only 2 waiters to serve all 3.
Review 4:Excellent breakfast. Beautiful surroundings.
Review 5:The view. The registration form asking my age on check in & the reception girl telling me the police will ask for it. I declined to offer my age & told her to send the police to me if they wish to know. The shower looked good, but the showerhead rail was broken and didn't function correctly.
Review 6:Location was good in the town square. Restaurant was excellent, both food and ambience with brilliant service from the staff. Super breakfast. Our room was quite comfortable but the view was just over 'rooftops'.
Review 7:Sauna and pool facilities. This is the second time we've stayed here, the first time we had a double vanity which was amazing. Second time, the room wasn't as good but that just goes to show the variety of rooms they have.
Review 8:Swimming area Style
Review 9:Nothing that I can think of.
Review 10:The pool, the food, the location, the building itself and Hubert the dog.
Review 11:Nothing
Review 12:Location on main square, rooms, pool and spa facilities, restaurant
Review 13:That they had neither my booking.com room or restaurant reservations
Review 14:Run by family it has best traditions of such private hotels. Excellent kitchen
Review 15:I would have liked coffee / tea making facilities in the room
Review 16:I liked everything they had
Review 17:It was too hot in the room and we could barely sleep. As standard, german rooms are unfortunately not equipped with air conditioning. The mini bar didn´t work.
Review 18:Historical hotel. Our room, included the bathrooom, was really spacious and elegant. Amazing breakfast. Amazing dinner at the restaurant. Great organisation
Review 19:The staff was amazing!!! We ran away from our life for a weekend away to celebrate our 8th wedding anniversary; we were head over heels in love with the hotel from the moment we walked into the lobby. It is by no means the chain hotels that I have stayed in before. This is a family run hotel and every member pitches in to help. The quality of service was excellent. We ate at the hotel resturant each night of our stay the first night off the regular menu and we had the Vennision, it was melt in your mouth amazing. The second night we decided to try the gourmet tasting menu with two courses of duck. It was succulent and divine. I cannot recommend it enough. The owner of the hotel is the chef!! My husband gifted me with a massage from the hotel masseuse and she was firm but detailed. It was very relaxing. We needed this weekend away to reconnect and it was perfect in every way!
Review 20:Breakfast is starting from 7 and sauna and restaurant close a little bit early in the evening. So to combine all offers when you are at work during the day is difficult.
Review 21:The atmosphere, the hospitality of the personal (they found a perfect solution to get us in after the reception closed), the swimmingpool and sauna are of good quality.
Review 22:Staff at Reception not very friendly or helpfully No meal available on Sunday night Noise from side street cobbled street a bit annoying
Review 23:Well preserved establishment Food presentation for dinner was excellent lots of interesting corridors with old furniture displayed
Review 24:my german is OK but not all the staff spoke english, so there could be problems. we stayed a monday night and the hotel dining was shut and only a very typical beer garden type restaurant was open. the menu was very local, specialising in carp and pork, with very slow service. outdoor setting was OK as it was a warmish evening
Review 25:easy to find, friendly atmosphere, complimentary sherry in room and pot of jam on leaving........
Review 26:Room and bathroom were small and dark. Restaurant seemed overpriced.
Review 27:The hotel had a very interesting indoor pool. Very luxurious. Breakfast was good.
Review 28:The menu in the restaurant could include more typical German dishes. Ourtravelers were looking for more "Down Home" German cooking. Overall therestaurant (especially the morning breakfast) was good and high quality.
Review 29:Excellent experience. Nicely decorated and comfortable rooms. Staff verywelcoming. First time experience in Europe for two our group and theyfound the hotel very nice.
Review 30:Family-run, beautifully maintained historic hotel with modern amenities in a charming small country town. It is a beautiful spot, service is personal and excellent. Breakfast buffet is great.
Review 31:The layout of the hotel was a bit akward and made it difficult to initially find our room.
Review 32:The staff was excellent and eager to help.
Review 33:Yet another hotel that charges for WIFI. This cost should be included in the price. Bed was not comfortable
