Review 1：Rather plain room, slightly dated public areas

Review 2：Large (deluxe) room with view over a church and park, quiet location and convenient car parking - car park connected to the hotel via a walkway. The Christmas market in Goslar was exceptionally pretty, and we have visited many in Germany.

Review 11：Unusually the Bar was not open on the Sunday or the Bank Holiday Monday so no chance to relax in the Hotel but plenty of places nearby. Biggest let down for us again was the Restaurant which refused to serve food even though we requested it before last orders! Once this goes back to the quality of service is used to be this will be a Hotel that should be on anyone's must stay list.

Review 12：Staff are always helpful and well trained. Suite was nice and big and Hotel is always very clean. Spa area was clean and is good. We have posted some negative feedback on the Restaurant but there are plenty of good places to eat in the wonderful old town. We are back in July again for a stay in the Kaiser Suite and looking forward it!

Review 17：On our last visit we were disappointed that the Restaurant Staff were rude and failed to accomodate a simple request, but more disappointingly that the food offering had significantly dropped to a very poor standard. Luckily there are enough good local restaurants to not to let it affect your stay in this excellent Hotel and gives a further reason to enjoy more of the beautiful town of Goslar.

Review 18：We look forward to every visit to Goslar and this Hotel!! The Hotel Staff are always excellent and they helped with a dental emergency without any hesitation. The Hotel is managed professionally with full consideration of the Guests and is always clean and well maintained. Spa facilities are very good and are usually quiet. Breakfast can get to be a bit busy at peak and restocking of popular items sometimes takes a gentle prompt to the polite staff but is always good.

Review 19：Parking garage and accessibility of the hotel. The hotel is designed as a labyrinth. Girl at the reception reminded me of the service in the DDR.

Review 23：WiFi was temporarily unavailable in parts of the hotel due to technical problems. Hotel bar is a bit on the small side when the hotel is full. No aircon could be an issue in hottest summer month but fortunately wasn't in September.

Review 24：Fantastic location smack in the middle of ancient and beautiful Goslar. Deluxe rooms are truly stylish and comfortable. No street noise to keep you awake. Restaurant location in 15th century tower is fantastic and menu is true to Goslar traditions - try the wienerschnitzel and excellent local wines! Wellness facilities are top of the range and parking is conveniently integrated with hotel. Excellent english breakfast.

Review 25：Staff was throughout very tense. WiFi cost a lot and did not work at all. Parking was very complicated and poorly explained. Breakfast as such was ok but room sparse. Bed was worse than what i had in the military. Shower mixer protruded halfway into the shower cabin.

We liked the location in the end of the Pedestrian zone.We enjoyed the Wellness area, thought the swimming pool is small and mostly for kids. Inside the yard the were a few MC parking spaces without charge.

Review 59：We had to move rooms due to the noise of trains which ran only meters from the hotel. The web site states 'Since our 'old hotel' is located directly at the pedestrian zone of Goslar, all rooms are very quite!!!!! No tea or coffee making facilities in bedrooms. Swimming pool needed to be warmer for us and the tiles of the pool need cleaning.

Review 60：The location is good to walk into town but choose your room very carefully if like us you don't want the sound of trains rattling by. The health suite is really nice.

Review 61：Paying for parking - expensive/ we were residents!! Being asked topay again when we had paid a "non-refundable" full costprepayment. You had refunded it regardless, and then re-debited. Wechecked in on time - I have yet to see effect (cost) of this exercisewhen my statement arrives. Very expensive breakfast which we avoided!

There were many incidents that were terrible and the staff provided minimal or NO assistance. I was also told not to use booking.com because they 'always cause' the GSA's 'many problems'. I was shocked and would be appalled if I were the bdm for the property IF they even have one! I would not return to this property.

Review 69：Location was good and there was one staff member in particular who worked in the bar with excellent hospitality experience and skills. He appeared to take pride in his position and continued to smile at all times, no request was too large or small and was very helpful when asked questions about the local village. The cost overall is reasonable but for a four star property comfort is not a priority. I am not sure if they are rated by a German hotel group or by a company like world hotels etc...

Review 85：I booked single smoking room for me and single non smoking rooms for mycolleagues. Upon arrival I was explained that there are no smokingrooms, when I persisted that during booking there was option forsmoking room, the reception personnel told me that the smoking roomsare only double rooms so if I want such room, I have to pay 10 Euroextra per night. I believe the booking options shall adequately andaccurately reflect to actual conditions available, in order to allowthe customer to make proper booking choice. The system of tracking andcharging internet use is not adequate- I was told there are twooptions0 3.5 Euro per hour or 14 Euro per 24 hours. However, when youlog in, there is no option to choose. Upon check out it was revealedthat the hotel charged 3.5 Euro every time of new log in if it was 1hour later than the previous. Thus, in some cases 3.5 Euro were chargedeven if you only used 10 min internet. In my case, as I stayed 2 days,I paid 21 Euro for internet (based on hourly rate of usage) and I wouldneed to pay 28 Euro if 14 Euro per day rate was used. However, since Ispent in the hotel mostly the evenings, I still believe this policy ofcharging is not adequate.

The food and service in the restaurant were very good.Unfortunately had no chance and time to visit the pool and sauna. Thehotel management was very nice with their decision not to charge me formy delayed arrival-1 day later than initial booking due to flightproblems, I really appreciated that.
