Reviews for Gasthof Reiner
Review 1:There was free WiFi in the public areas but it was a bit hit and miss, which for my wife who feels the need to check her e-mail 200 times aday, was a little bit of a pain. I on other other hand, thought it wasgreat :o) The hotel was situated alongside a road which occasionally gotbusy and for some reason, there seemed to a be a plethora of motorbikesin the area (and congrugating in the cafe/restaurant opposite) at thetime we were there. Comprising mainly of 'aging' bikers (40+ age) therewas never any trouble.
Review 2:Location, location, location! This hotel is situated in the heart ofprettiest part of Europe, Bavaria. In fact, I don't think there are manyplaces in the world to touch it because it really is picture postcard/chocolate box cover country and the scenery is absolutely stunning. The local towns and villages are great for a day out and we found eatingand drinking out quite cheap. Sankt Englmar is the closest, beingminutes away in a car and is a quintesentially Bavarian town;exceptionally clean (no litter anywhere) and perfectly orderly. When wefirst arrived at the Gasthof Reiner, we were shown to our room by whatwe pressumed was the owner, which was a nice touch. Our room was veryclean, comfortable and had a view over the valley that was amazing and apleasure to wake up to every morning. We didn't do breakfast every daybut it was typically German, selection of cold meats, cheeses, cereals.Opposite the hotel and within walkin g distance was a kids theme parktype thing and would be great for families with kids. A kilometre up theroad, there was another park with a panoramic walkway which was wellworth a visit and the entrance and food was cheap too. If you arewilling, you are are able to travel quite easily to Austria or the CzechRepublic too. If you love hiking/walking/cycling/driving around wellmaintained mountain roads or just admiring God's canvas (perfectlymanicured by the Bavarians), then this place is a must. We are goingback next year.
Review 3:Simple but delicious breakfast.
