Reviews for Altstadt-Hotel Gosequell
Review 1:Breakfast buffet included, Free and fast WIFI (note: if your room is on 3rd floor, connect first on a lower floor and then you can continue to use on 3rd floor)
Review 2:Rooms are very modest and old-fashioned. Shower and toilet are old (though very clean). Most of the staff does not speak English (but we managed to handle it). We took the "quadruple" room and it turned out to be two separate rooms in the top floor which share an external bathroom (though private, we had out own key for it). No elevator, stairs are narrow and you need to bend not to bump you head. Patio is actually an outside small stone-paved garden with some pots and plants at the back of the kitchen, not very inviting and not related privately to any room.
Review 3:Nice staff. Very service-oriented and helpful. Prime location, accessible by foot to all the interesting places in the old city of Goslar. Tasty breakfast buffet. Comfortable parking very close to the hotel.
Review 4:No lift in the building
Review 5:The friendliness of the staff
Review 6:Good position and Nice hotel in a fairy town!
Review 7:Rooms need a little bit of a facelift.
Review 8:Very old fashioned and very central. Beautiful character.
Review 9:Lovely and welcoming. The room fitted the feel of the town perfectly. Highly recommended
Review 10:Hotel bar shut very early.....we returned at 9pm and could not get a beer.
Review 11:Great budget hotel. Rooms were basic but clean. Breakfast was good and staff friendly. I would stay there again for the price we paid.
Review 12:Nothing to report
Review 13:In the old part of town, Convenient for the mine, Palace and Zwinger. 5 minutes stroll to the town centre. Rooms for 4 layout was as described online(though in a separate building from the breakfast/restaurant section) and were ready for us when we arrived. Quiet and comfortable.
Review 14:I was not very pleased to know that I would not be staying in the Hotel, but in the Guesthouse in the next street. But the room there was spacious and comfortable.
Review 15:Peaceful location and helpful staff.
Review 16:Our bedroom was about 100 metres from the main hotel and at ground floor level on the street so that window opening was a problem. The room was large
Review 17:The hotel location was good, but TomTom had difficulty in getting right to it. Breakfasts were good and walking access to the city centre very easy. We had a locked car parking area.
Review 18:The breakfast was not as good as it should have been for the price; one of the staff members was very offhand.
Review 19:The location is excellent, only a few minutes walk from the heart of the town.
Review 20:No elevator, very poor plumbing...made horrible noises, steep stairs to climb, poor linens, rooms very basic, pictures were deceiving. Was not right on the main square. Was very difficult to find. Had to share one little pitcher of cream for all tables. Felt old and decrepit. Overpriced for such a dismal place.
Review 21:No complaints.
Review 22:Staff were helpful and leaving bags for a few hours after check out was no problem. The hotel is about 10-15 mins from the railway and in a lovley area that is right near town (2-3 mins) and the excellent Rammelsburg mine (20 mins).
Review 23:shower is not only extremely small, but water was dripping either hot or cold. beds are not comfortable. Noises around the hotel all night.
Review 24:very friendly personell, Service, location
Review 25:The service was not so good. You forgot what we ordered. Review 27:The family room was actually two rooms on the same floor with a toiletin the (small) corridor. An old creaky hotel.
