Reviews for pentahotel Chemnitz

Review 1:Hard to say what is bad. Oh, well, supplied shower gel can be better. :)

Review 2:Very comfortable and quiet place to stay. Awesome breakfast but costs 17 Eur. It worth it on Sundays though, cause there are no places to eat on Sunday's mornings.

Review 3:Car parking is expensive at €11 per day although there is some street parking. Also breakfast is expensive and we were told that only one wifi connection was free. We had a suite but no information in the room, and only a couple of small glasses. Pity as otherwise good.

Review 4:Comfortable with helpful staff.

Review 5:Bit out of town. No help or apparent knowledge regarding the biggest event in the area at the time - the Moto GP!

Review 6:The bar service plus food and general ambience.

Review 7:Very overpriced but as moto gp was on it was the only placed left, they charged 200 euros a night, we stayed in better places that were less then half the price. it says it comes with free wifi but it doesn't because it doesn't work and when you complain they say that they get lot's of complaints and have the nerve to say you can upgrade your wifi for a fee, bloody cheek after charging that amount a night. I stayed in a place that was only 45 a night which had excellent wifi on multiply devices. If you can stay somewhere else this place just isn't worth the money.

Review 8:breakfast was great

Review 9:Worst internet speed I have ever seen in a hotel. Speedtest was coming up with 0.03mbps download and 0.02 up. Could barely check e-mail, do not stay if you require bandwidth.

Review 10:Location was good and easy access to autobahn.

Review 11:Chose a quite room but couldn't open the window so was a bit stuffy.

Review 12:Lovely rooms with great bathroom. Breakfast was fantastic. If you get a car space outside the hotel you don't have to pay for the underground garage.

Review 13:Hotel near is near the Schlosspark, a very nice area with lots of old buildings with many restaurants. The 10-15 minute walk to town was nice going along the lake in the Schlosspark.

Review 14:The air-conditioning really didn't work...The terrace can beaccessed by everyone on that floor so be careful to lock your doors ifyou leave. You do have to pay to upgrade the internet but it worksperfect if you read the directions. The parking is also 100% secure andworth the money.

Review 15:Love the design and layout. We had a great refrigerator and the coldsnack machine with wine and beer is great. The €2 merlot was ridiculousgood from that machine. The bar is awesome with high end drinks and thebreakfast is pricey, but awesome.

Review 16:The air-conditioning really didn't work...The terrace can be accessed by everyone on that floor so be careful to lock your doors if you leave.

Review 17:LOVE LOVE LOVE the restaurant and the breakfast and the parking! LOTS of room, cool design layout. LOVE the snack machine fridge with Beer and wine...

Review 18:The breakfast was incredible and the parking 100% secure underground!

Review 19:They charged my travel card for the two nights on the day I departed, then reversed it three days later and recharged me when the exchange rate was different. I ended up paying 18 euros more, Location was a long way out of town, Staff were not very interested in assisting, Overpriced food and drinks: smallish mug of cappuccino was 7 euros!! from the bar

Review 20:Not much at all.

Review 21:Breakfast wasn't quite as good as the rest of the hotel, but now I'm being really fussy as overall our stay was easy and faultless.

Review 22:We were in town for the MotoGP and the hotel was the perfect blend of comfort, space, service and location - the staff couldn't have been more helpful, there is a beer garden a short walk away if that's your thing and it's only 15 minutes or so from the Sachsenring - a winner all round.

Review 23:Took Money from Credit Card before our Arrival. Parking was extra at 11 Euros a day. No mini-bar or fridge. No coffee/tea making facilities in room. Bar understaffed on busy nights for MotoGP weekend. Staff had no knowledge of transportation to MotoGP circuit.

Review 24:Pool Area. Nice Bar and reasonably priced Snacks. Walking distance to train station and town centre.

Review 25:A bit isolated and required a taxi to get into the town or to the station but Chemnitz town itself is not the most inviting of places anyway. Dinner menu very limited but there are great places within 500 metres. No tea-making facilities.

Review 26:We stayed for the MotoGP as did many others. We ordered a shuttle people-mover to go to Sachsenring - it cost 32 euros for two of us. We found it easy to catch the train back to Chemnitz and found taxis just outside the station to take us the rest of the way for just 8 euros. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and spoke English, which is not the case in most places in Chemnitz, including taxis. Pleasant, very clean room with all the usual extras, and fantastic breakfast but at 17 euro it needed to be. Easy and pleasant walk to some great eateries and parks. Good value for money.

Review 27:A bit of a walk into town.

Review 28:Helpful staff and very clean and comfortable hotel. There are some nice looking restaurants and pubs nearby but we didn't get a chance to eat there.

Review 29:Staff was rude. Didn't realize my friend was German and assumed she didn't understand a word they said...WRONG! Staff wasn't very helpful with making changes with reservation. Requiring a 30 day in advance cancellation is unheard of! Although they advertise "wi-fi throughout the hotel," you were better off sending messages by carrier pigeon! Even if you were sitting in the hotel lobby! For the price we paid for the room, complimentary parking would have been nice. Luckily, parking on the street was available. Faulty vending machines. Avoid this place like the plague!! You've been warned!

Review 30:The room with balcony was THE highlight of this hotel.

Review 31:The location is a bit out of the way. It is about a 20min walk to the area where anything actually happens in Chemnitz eg pubs and shops etc. So if you are a solo traveller it could be an issue.

Review 32:I liked the indoor pool jacuzzi and sauna I went to the motogp and after a long hot day it was a real treat to relax in. The staff were friendly and the bar was nice too. The bar food was also good.

Review 33:Quiet place, nice stuff and good food. This is a sum up of our stay there.

Review 34:a little bit cooler on the room even though the air conditioning was off

Review 35:Nice wellness and great neighborhood.

Review 36:Better if had a mini fridge

Review 37:Clean and comfortable room. Complimentary morning Tchibo coffee.

Review 38:Very bad internet connection

Review 39:price of breakfast

Review 40:everything clean very fast lift

Review 41:Easy to get to race circuit and secure parking

Review 42:Told it was free Wi fi but still had to pay

Review 43:Location of hotel plus the surrounding area

Review 44:No fridge or tea or coffee facilities in room. Pillows too soft, bar staff rude and tried to over charge.

Review 45:Good location

Review 46:Room would not get cool enough during the evening. Refrigerator in theroom was missing even though there was a place for it. The room did nothave an iron.

Review 47:Split level and nice dual balconies overlooking the city.

Review 48:Breakfast was 17 euros each, which is quite expensive especially if youare not a big eater, so actually tended to go elsewhere for meals.

Review 49:Nice, relaxing area. The Sclossberg museum and church is about 2 blocksaway and has a beautiful park with restaurant. The river is also veryclose and although it was a bit of a hike we walked downtown for a bitof shopping. It was just a nice respite after a busy schedule. It is ina neighborhood with lovely big houses and treed areas.

Review 50:Surprised to find such a nice hotel in Chemnitz at very reasonable rate. Rooms was nice and specious, breakfast was more than adequate. Highly recommend this hotel.

Review 51:Professionally I travel frequently in and outside Europe and visited a lot of hotels so far. This was my first stay in Chemnitz and also a first time I stayed in a PentaHotel. This hotel should be a good example for other Hotel owners. The price is good, the people are friendly and the rooms are clean and quiet. The restaurant was closed when I stayed there but the food they served at the bar was excellent, same as the breakfast. The hotel is outside the city center located in a quiet environment and has a (big) private underground parking. Good value for money! Great service! For me certainly a reason to check if there is a Pentahotel when I travel to another city in the future. Only negative point is that you have to pay for Wi-Fi connection, I feel that should be free anno 2013. Marc, Sas van Gent, The Netherlands

Review 52:This has been our second stay at the Pentahotel. We have nothing to complain about.

Review 53:We liked the friendly staff and room comforts. On site parking is definitely a plus.

Review 54:first let me just say what a great place to stay this is . you will not be disappointed , me and four friends made the trek on motor bikes for the moto gp , and struck gold with this place , under ground parking for the bike , important for us bikers , first class rooms , great breakfast , health spa just what you need when you've been on your bike all day , if we go back for the moto gp we will stop here for sure , no question mega place !

Review 55:No high backed chairs, however this appears to be the norm in allhotels. My husband suffers with back and neck problems and needs a highback chair to support his neck.

Review 56:The convenience of the hotel parking with lift staight up toreception/room. Had to go down to car at 3 am and felt safe doing so nothaving to go out of the hotel, only complaint was that the parking wasextra, however with the car loaded for our holiday it was nice to knowthe car was secure.

Review 57:Whilst I accept local culture I felt that in light of multi-nationalvisitors using the hotel the spa should have been more private

Review 58:A great friendly hotel perfect for a base to visit many great locations.

Review 59:Restaurant, Internet and Hotel ambience. Internet impossible to use

Review 60:Clean and good room

Review 61:Very friendly and helpful staff, good comfort, cozy place. The restaurant was open till the late night. The snack machine on each floor.

Review 62:No tea, coffee, water in room.

Review 63:Overall aura, food and staff helpfulness.

Review 64:- view over chemnitz - free bottle of water - very quiet

Review 65:I stayed in this hotel 6 hours on my way to poland.

Review 66:n/a

Review 67:good size room, friendly staff, clean hotel, cheap vending machine on every floor

Review 68:No dislikes

Review 69:Friendly staff, excellent service.Breakfasts were good. Location was excellent, to get to the MotoGP only 30 mins to the Sachsenring.

Review 70:Breakfast is too expensive, standard rooms mobilya looks somewhat old

Review 71:Nice Pool, super breakfast, small but nice SPA.

Review 72:My room was close to the hotel entrance which could be a bitnoisy at night.

Review 73:Nice, clean rooms. Good breakfast, friendly staff

Review 74:Very good hotel, nice, clean, big breakfast and good meals at the restaurant.

Review 75:Lunch & dinner are very poor.

Review 76:Everything was very good includes the room & breakfast.

Review 77:Spa was really fantastic! Breakfast was very good. The room was perfectly clean and wide.
