Review 1：Room was spacious, and well lit with two roof windows and excellent lamps (something I have never before seen in a hotel. Room was extremely quiet.
Review 2：The double glazing kept the noise of traffic out well, but the curtains were thin and with lamp post outside, the room was brightly lit all night. Blackout lining needed!

Review 20：The staff could have been more cheerful, but it IS a tiny hotel with i think only 2 people on duty at any one time, and they have a lot of work to do. i was greeted with a rather dour attitude every time i made a request (e.g., ordering tea at the hotel cafe) -- it felt like i was impinging on the staff. But things got done in the end, and everything went smoothly.
Review 21：Lovely little hotel just across the road from the main Hbf, and a short 5 minute walk to the town centre. Very clean, warm and comfortable room, and a wonderful breakfast buffet with very good-quality food.
Review 22：The room was extra highly clean and the shower was better than usually at the most hotels. The room was designed to work in a practical way. We liked that the hotel was situationed next to the train station. And it took only about 5 minutes to walk to the city center. I also liked as a morning person that the breakfast was served from 6.30 to 9.30.

Review 26：The location was great for train passengers as it was quite close to the station. It was also very near the city centre, with shopping, restaurants, and tourist sites accessible. The staff was very friendly and helpful to non-German-speaking American tourists. The room was clean and comfortable with modern, updated flat-screen TV and bath fixtures. We requested a non-smoking room, and there was no trace of smoke smell anywhere upstairs. Because of the location close to the train station and on a major road, I was worried about traffic noise, but our room was very quiet and had a view of Wartburg Castle. The breakfast was delicious, with a lot of variety of foods including eggs, an array of cold meats and cheeses, yogurt, cereals, fresh fruit, milk, juice, tea, coffee, and many kinds of rolls and breads. We also ate in the hotel restaurant/bar one evening, and the food was tasty and reasonably priced. We would definitely return to City Hotel for any trip to Eisenach - visits to Wartburg Castle and Bach's birthplace are "musts" in this charming city!
Review 27：one side of hotel faces the bahnhofstress, you can image the big noise from the street. The internet in this hotel is quite bad, even at ground floor we didn't connect the internet in 1 hour.

Review 29：The noise from road traffic was so terrible that we could hardly slee ( We asked for a quiet room on lower floor and we did get a room on first floor but noisy ) . We hope that rooms on higher floors are quiet enough to have an uninterrupted sleep.

Review 32：It was within a 3 minute walk of the train station. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful and spoke English well enough for us to understand each other. Although we had a no smoking room, some of the bath towels smelled of cigarette smoke, as did the stairwell. Some of the light fixtures were loose on the wall, and although the outer door to our room locked (there were 2 rooms behind one entrance door with a shared bath), the door to the room we were staying in did not have a working lock. The hotel staff explained that this was not a problem as the other room was not occupied for the night. Still seems like a security risk.
Review 33：Its location near the railway station is ideal for the arrival anddeparture, just 5 minutes walk door to door.This is my third visit/stay in Eisenach and the city hotel. Great location, staff and although the menue is not great, just evening snacks, and a buffet breakfasy is ideal.

Review 35：City Hotel is conveniently located about 2 blocks from the railroadstation, and near the bus station. It has a pleasant dining room with asmall evening menu, as well as excellent breakfasts. The rooms arecomfortable and quiet. The hotel is also an easy walk from the scenicchurches, city wall, a variety of good restaurants, and historic partsof the old city. The staff were also very helpful and able to answer ourquestions.
