Reviews for Huentala Hotel

Review 1:Hermoso hotel con encanto y estilo. Muy buen nivel y atencion. Para estar muy tranquilo. Alejado del ruido pasamos unos dias de total tranquilidad. Dadas las caracteristicas de la zona no hay wifi.

Review 2:Wifi connection was spotty at best.

Review 3:Great location. Nice small rooftop pool. Lobby decor is very well done. Boutique hotel right next to the Sheraton/Casino. Walking distance to restaurants and shops

Review 4:6th floor room at back was excellent. 2 nd room on 3rd floor near elevator was noisy. Booming drum noise followed by snare drum roll carried on late into night. Source is probably loud TV advertisment from ceiling speaker by checkin desk

Review 5:Good Location, ideal to pickup car rental

Review 6:Next door to a casino so some street noise. Rooms were clean but not 4 star hotel .

Review 7:Rooms were clean and staff helpful . Right in city centre so useful if that's what you want .

Review 8:Wifi didn't work well in room, had to go to lobby to actually use. There was strong oder from the sewer that came up through drains one night of the two night stay. Exchanging dollars for pesos was only available at limited times.

Review 9:Staff's ability to understand English. Ana/Matain were excellent at fielding questions and giving guidance from the front desk. Maids were super helpful, even thought they didn't understand English, they understood sign language. Leah at the front lobby bar was also outstanding. Great command of English coupled with excellent bar tending skills made her true asset for HH.

Review 10:Reception forgot a wake up call we had booked. As it happened we were awake! So no problem. AC didn't work well enough for us.

Review 11:This is not the sort of property we would normally stay at. It is very good value - for what it is. We enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was good. Room was comfy. Staff courteous and helpful.

Review 12:Transfers and currency exchange rate not competitive. But this is not a problem because there are plenty of taxis, travel agents and exchange offices nearby. Note: walk straight into the exchange office. Do not give any attention to people offering exchange outside or on the street.

Review 13:Well located in central Mendoza. Good size room and bathroom. Nice breakfast buffet. Friendly English speaking staff

Review 14:Very small window.

Review 15:Friendlyness of check -in staff

Review 16:Room needed an upgrade/reno.

Review 25:Small rooms and not very comfy

Review 26:The location was perfect, walking distance to everything. The hotel lobby, bar and dining room area were adorable..

Review 27:Wifi connection was not always good

Review 28:Breakfast!

Review 29:we had a very small room

Review 30:location, staff, breakfast

Review 31:A little bit dark room, without lights in the ceiling...

Review 32:Great suite. GHood location

Review 33:There were some problems at the bath room (small scale smelling)

Review 34:It is at the city center quite well organised hotel.

Review 35:Décor a bit tired Service variable

Review 36:Location Good sized room and en suite Very good breakfast

Review 37:WE were allowed to shower at the hotel after we had checked out and had spent the day sight seeing as we were booked on a 7pm overnight bus to Buenos Aires,

Review 38:old hotel in decline. Walls so thin you can hear the people in the next room and the (open to 4:30 am) nightclub as if you were in their room or in the club. No sleep, poor pillows too

Review 39:central location, good wifi

Review 40:Old and a bit rundown. Walls and windows so thin the nightclub next door (runs to 4:30 am) kept us up all night. could hear the people in the next room as well. Very poor, you can do better than this

Review 41:Central location, good wifi

Review 42:The rooms were small. The photos on Booking.com are mainly of the lobby, restaurant & bar area which is well kept & maintained. There isless attention to details in the other areas of the hotel. We made 2calls using a phone card & were charged for phone usage - not costof the call as this was already covered by the card.

Review 43:The hotel was in a central location

Review 44:Comfortable rooms, nice breakfast and good price. We were only there for one night so unfortunately didn't get to try the swimming pool and spa facilities.

Review 45:The concierge staff were extremely helpful! Ana especially, who made dinner reservations on our behalf, booked our massages and gave helpful directions! We would definitely stay there again!

Review 46:The bed was not that comfortable and the pillows quite hard. Also no extra blankets provided.

Review 47:The staff were lovely. Very helpful and friendly. Room service menu and quality of food good.

Review 48:We had the basic room, it was relatively small, but somewhat expected. We don't spend much time in the room, so this sufficed for the 2 of us.

Review 49:My husband and I had an excellent stay at Huentala. The hotel ambiance is very nice. The breakfast buffet was good and the overall service, especially from the front desk was excellent. To add to the excellent service, we were given 2 bottles of Mendoza wine as a parting gift. If we went back to Mendoza, I would highly consider staying here again.

Review 50:Strong smell of sewers in the bathroom.

Review 51:Great value for money. Good food at a reasonable price. Great locationand service. The pool was closed but they provided a pass for theneighbouring Sheraton.

Review 52:I wasn't told that they were using the pool facilities at theSheraton hotel next door.

Review 53:The style & facilities of the hotel & the room. The centrallocation was great.

Review 54:Photos of the rooms from website of hotel is absolutely different from real picture. Room is wardrobe size. Bad smell. Sweeming pool does not work, they offer to go to hotel near by, but its fool of own guests. Breakfast is officially worst in the world - orange juice(nothing else) mixed with water. Kind of becon mix with old ham, fruits from cans!! It spoiled our holiday(((

Review 55:Under construction, not a boutique hotel for sure, noise, layout of the room was the ever strangest what I saw in my life

Review 56:The location is not so bad, but Mendoza is small town, everywhere is ok locations

Review 57:This is not a four star hotel as advertised. It’s old, smelly and thestaff is rude. I feel so strongly about how negative my experience wasthat I am willing to waste 356 words discussing it below. When we arrived the gruff staff seemed as though they were doing us a favor by checking us in. They were cold (bordering on rude and adversarial) and did not even offer any useful information such as map of the city or where and when breakfast is in the morning. In all of our interactions with them we experienced the same rudeness, so I don’t think it was the case of simply catching them at a bad time. When we got to the room it was small and dark and was clearly not the suite we had booked. We complained and we were able to move to a bigger room. While the room was definitely an improvement space-wise, it was rundown looking and the bathroom smelled assuredly feculent and disturbingly like one you might use in a public park if was an absolute emergency. In other words, gross. I later noticed that the hallway of our floor (the third) had a similar smell. The shower did not really drain so the dirty water would pool up in the bottom. Disgusting.Part of the reason that we booked this hotel was because it had a pool, which looked lovely online. What they didn’t tell us when we booked or when we checked in was that the pool was under construction and could not be used. We were allowed to use the pool at the adjoining Sheraton, which seemed nicer anyway, but this was really disappointing. The location isn’t far from the main plaza, but I recommend staying on the opposite side, as this side is filled with touristy low-quality restaurants and many homeless people. There is no way that this is a four star hotel. And I’m not just saying this because of our horrible experience there. Our wine tour guide told us that it used to be listed as three stars and he has no idea why it’s now listed as four.

Review 58:By the time we stayed there, the hotel was under restoration, so thefaçade was covered by construction stuff and the pool was unavailable.

Review 59:Location, employees always willing to support. Really kind.

Review 60:The hotel needs a facelift. It has all the conditions to be very good but details like worm off towels let it down.

Review 61:The Breakfast was very good

Review 62:Great location, delicious breakfast!, thank you Patricia and all the personal of the front desk.

Review 63:Not as clean as we would have expected.

Review 64:Old historical charm

Review 65:nothing

Review 66:very well located in Mendoza. close to city tour bus station. Very easy to book private wineyard tour from hotel desk. good restaurant around
