Review 1：When I first walked in I could tell this was the place for me. It was clean and the decor was a soothing green with a good layout. I would recommend to anyone staying in the area.

Review 2：No wash cloths. Not a big deal but we have noticed in southern Germany, Bavaria, every hotel we stayed in didn't have these most essential of items.

Review 3：Quiet. Quiet. Quiet. Hotel is near the altstadt wall so you miss most of the noise from inconsiderate tourists who are too loud and or drink too much

Review 4：The description of the hotel made it sound like they had parking available for guests, which was not the case. We understand not having air conditioning, but they could have opened hallway windows once the sun went down to cool the upstairs off, the hot room made for poor sleeping conditions. Of the 4 different hotels we stayed at while on vacation in Germany, they were the only ones not offering free wifi for their guests.

Review 6：my intention was to stay in a 4-star hotel. While "booking.com" classifies it as such, this does in my opinion not meet with reality. As such, I will not recommend it.

Review 22：Hot rooms even on a pleasant day (~20 C outside). Extremelly noisy till 1:00 am groups partying and from 6:30 am groups departing. They claim in amenities they have a hot tub, they do not. They charge for the internet while most German hotels do not.

Review 24：It's sunny when I stayed in Rothenburg, and it's also sunny to stay in this hotel. I drove late, and the receptionist waited overtime for me, when it was already 10 p.m. in the evening. Hotel is located close to the east gate of this small, peaceful old mid-age town, and very convenient to walk to the city square in very few minutes.It also has free parking just outside the hotel.

Review 25：I booked a double-bed room but I was given a twin-bed room. When I asked the staff at the reception to change back to a double-bed room, she said they didn't have one. Then I reiterated that I booked a double-bed room for honeymoon, if there is no a double-bed room , they shouldn't have shown on the website. Who will book a twin-bed room for honeymoon? She asked, 'can't you put the two twin beds together?' I was so disappointed and I explicitly told her senior that what I needed was what I booked on booking.com. She said there was NO a single double-bed room in their 6-storey hotel. I questioned them why they offered such a room choice on booking.com even with photos. They said those photos were before renovation. The persuaded me to put the two beds together for our 3-night stay. This is the worst customer service I have ever received in Germany. They didn't give what they offer, this is kind of deception. I strongly discourage couples for honeymoon to book this hotel.

Review 27：I was there before and it was good but this time it was simply aweful. - Noise due to constructions / Baustelle within the building - Mould / Schimmel in the bathroom - The room was not more than 2* comfort - Heating system is very noisy

Review 29：The staff were lovely - friendly and knowledgeable. Very helpful advising about a day in Heidelberg, and travelling to and from the city. Tram and bus tickets can be purchased from the hotel.

Review 32：They are replacing the lift and gave no prior notice. My room was on the fourth floor, but that wasn't such a big deal. The big deal was the next morning when the workers started drilling at 9am. So much for a relaxing getaway. I understand it has to be done, but so early, and without a discount or compensatory gift? Beyond that, breakfast was a massacre since there were 4 different tour groups staying at the time. Staff members were rude and the hotel is definitely not as luxurious as it claims to be. Room service? Ha. Good luck with that. There is not even a brochure in the room offering extra services such as breakfast in your room, a bottle of wine, etc.

Review 33：The location was good - within the city walls but not right in the middle of the town. The room was large and it was nice to have a bathtub.

Review 34：Am ersten Abend haben wir das Nachtessen im Topinambur eingenommen. Dabei war für uns die Qualität nicht optimal und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht stimmig.

Review 38：There was no guest services guide in the room so we had to keep asking at reception about everything such as laundry. There should be a guest services book in the room to make it easier to self serve. It wouldn't stop me staying there it was just a bit of an annoyance.

Review 39：The location was fantastic inside the old city with free street parking right out the front. Close to everything. The room was very spacious and had plenty of room for us and our 3 month old baby. The cot was set up and ready for us when we arrived (most other hotels don't do this...)

Review 40：Large tour groups seem to have become there main interest. The noise onone night, when we had Japanese tourists above us , was bad. They werehanging out of the window smoking and talking { it is a non smokinghotel} and when that stopped there was endless running of baths.

Review 42：Tip for first time travellers to Rothernburg obt, on first approach tocity walls its not clear that you can drive inside the walls. Betterdriving directions/instructions would help out, but this problem wassolved by asking at local supermarket.

Review 44：Unfriendly front desk staff. As the room was hot due to warm temperatures, I asked for a fan to move the air as the open windows with no cross-ventilation were useless. Front desk staff said no. When I asked to speak to absent General Manager, front desk inferred that it was a waste of time as she did not allow fans due to fear of fire. So I lost two night's of sleep but at least the hotel did not have to fear about a fan fire.

Review 48：For 4 star Hotel you expect to have the service nonstop. The servicesare abrupt they are not friendly at all. The receptionis worder a taxifor me about one week ago, I was waiting for the taxi(3.30am/20.05.2012) for 45 min the taxi did not turn up at all . I waspanical and worry of missing my flyght. In the end I have another taxi,but more money?????? And it was not my foult. What do you think aboutit??? It is appoling to happend that.
