Reviews for Der Fuerstenhof

Review 1:Stopped here on way back from a ski drive trip - close to motorway but still typically old style German and a lovely little restaurant a short walk away Also lovely breakfast , safe parking .

Review 2:There was a smoking room in the hotel which I could smell through the hotel. Even in our bedroom the smell was quite strong.

Review 3:Our room was like being in a suite. It was really spacious. We had a separate lounge with sofa bed, king size bedroom, dressing room and a bathroom. Was great to have space, especially with 2 children. Breakfast was lovely and always lots of choice. Staff were always friendly and helpful.

Review 4:Historical building located in the main square of the old town close to all amenities in Kempten. Room was spacious, very quiet and comfortable.Breakfast amazing; all staff very helpful. Great Italian restaurant “Osteria Antica”open until late in the evening. Limited free parking places, but there is a parking garage. Charming hotel with a good price, highly recommended.

Review 5:No bad experience, all good but radiator in room not very efficient, bit chilly late pm, also would have liked t&coffee facillities in room; but overall great and will stay again next year!

Review 6:Fabulous building/rooms, close to all amenities and family living in and around Kempten. All staff very helpful and spoke very good English!

Review 7:No free space on street - allowed to park at hotel parking free++ (very tight space) Very friendly staff lady at reception. Very nice and big size room for 3 person, modern, clean and fresh.

Review 8:Parking garage was limited and tight for a larger vehicle.

Review 9:Room was spacious, very quiet and comfortable.fantastic location close to centerms of old town. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was very good and reasonably priced.

Review 10:We were placed in a building located 75m away from the hotel which was an office building with no ambiance at all. For breakfast, we had to go through the rain from that building to the Fürstenhof which we didn't enjoy. Parking was only guaranteed until 8 in the morning as we were assigned a place for goods delivery.

Review 11:Breakfast and Kempten itself

Review 12:Their free parking is limited, so if you are late arriving you will have to pay for parking. We parked across the street from the free parking (which is behind the hotel) and went out very early to put money in the meter.

Review 13:Very friendly staff, with excellent English. Wonderful breakfast. Beautiful area in town to just walk around. The free wifi works in your room, but works best downstairs in the breakfast area.

Review 14:Nothing

Review 15:The staff was friendly, the room was very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. We had an excellent stay and would want to repeat our wonderful experience when we visit Kempten again in a couple of years.

Review 16:Wireless LAN signal in room was not great, but was very good in other parts of the hotel. Be aware that the busses between the main railway station and the old town, where the hotel is located, don't run after about 20:00, but the taxis are cheap.

Review 17:very nice hotel, in historic building, located in the old town, large room, clean, friendly staff with 24X7 service, good breakfast, good price.

Review 18:The breakfast would be better. Coffee was not good.

Review 19:The service was very good. The room is nice, clean, comfortable. I would tell a friend this hotel.

Review 20:Noisy. Restaurant outside the street. No sleep at all people talking rather loudly til all hours of the morning then again early in morn at 7am. No air con or wifi in room. Poor breakfast choice of eggs, ham and cheese. Garage parking difficult. No key given to open garage door reserved a parking place too but not given a specific place to park in as most spaces were reserved.

Review 21:Pleasant citty.

Review 22:Limited parking available

Review 23:A very nice hotel in the main square with good room & en-suite. Staff very pleasant & helpful. You can take a tray of coffee or tea to the room in the morning if you are staying for breakfast. The breakfast s are very good, lots of choice very good value. The restaurant is no longer part of the hotel .

Review 24:The wi fi was hopeless , were given a code, it worked for about half and hour at 4 in the afternoon and then in the evening and morning after just didn't work. The double bed was two singles put together and one side hade creaky springs and an old matress with a hole in the middle. The shower attachment was broken

Review 25:Hotel was in good position in centre, though not easy to get to by car, in lovely square with historic buildings. Hotel and room were clean and staff and breakfast fine.

Review 26:Extra bed was an extended sofa, short and uncomfortable; number of parking places was limited and no free place in the evening (very annoying).

Review 27:central location; large, clean and comfortable room; very good breakfast;

Review 28:Beautiful, spacious comfortable. Family room was actually a 1 bedroom apartment with sleeper sofa in large parlor. Restaurant stayed open late to feed us fabulous antipasto after late arrival.

Review 29:Room not ready over an hour past check in time. Alternative room poor, sparking and dangerous hairdryer. Wi-fi poor, room too hot, no fan available. Replacement hair dryer , none available, receptionist rude and inept. Awful experience, would never return.

Review 30:Nithing

Review 31:Rude receptionist who complained she was expected to do the job of 5 people. Noise from the street. Rooms very hot with no air conditioning. No toiletries.

Review 32:Great location, big rooms.

Review 33:The only down side as that it was rather warm when we visited, and the dining area was very hot and stuffy. Parking is limited, but on-street parking can be found.

Review 34:Great location in Kempten - on the main square with large selection of restaurants. The hotel is beautiful - updated and modern amenities, but still maintains its historic quality. Breakfast buffet available.

Review 35:Stayed during a heat wave (36 deg) and room had no air conditioning which made sleeping difficult. Probably not usually an issue! Also, the delivery to the next door supermarket early in the morning woke us up.

Review 36:Great location, very helpful staff, and had a shared lounge area which was good for hanging out in as it rained.

Review 37:WiFi was a pain to configure and we never got it to work. Parking can be challenging.

Review 38:Awesome hotel with great history. Built in 13th century and recently remodeled the hotel is in the heart of the gorgeous old town. The property looks out to the town square with great dining in the hotel restaurant for the traditional Bavarian fare or in the square for other European options.

Review 39:== Good location - on Мain Square, across to the City Hall. There are bus stop for the bus to the Rail Station - on the back of the City Hall. If you prefer to get taxi from the hotel to Rail Station - it's about 8-9 euro. == All sights - within walking distance == Restaurants and cafes nearby - many! == Supermarket - 50 m away of the hotel == Various shops - within walking distance. == Excellent breakfast == Cleaness - good == WiFi - fairly good

Review 40:Not able to stay longer.

Review 41:Wonderful regal building with underground parking.Spacious rooms, lovely bed. Helpful staff, recommended restaurants. Amazing buffet breakfast for the price that included Bucksfizz, smoked salmon ! We will return.l

Review 42:Bathtub drainage was barely working. At 6:40 AM a truck is unloading merchandise on the back street and it will wake you up. Maybe my score is a bit unfair, but being woken up ruined the whole experience for me I did not have Wi-Fi, but that is partly my fault

Review 43:the breakfast was good. An ok hotel, but it is mandatory that you request a room oriented towards the downtown and not the back street

Review 44:Location at the old town Wifi works perfect Apartment was huge like condominium big saloon separate bedroom big bathroom corridor connected all rooms Everything was perfectly clean Undergroun garage - better take because its hard to park close (old city center) Breakfast fresh and many choice

Review 45:It certainly is a budget hotel, the facilities are older and dated. The staff on the front desk were either really helpful or super rude. It was a lucky draw and sometimes you weren't so lucky.

Review 46:A good location with free airport shuttle bus and filling breakfast. Probably the best value for money in Zurch. A quick walk up to the station and 4 stops into the centre of Zurich and the lake.

Review 47:Everything was fine.

Review 48:Very friendly staff. Excellent location in the very centre of Kempten. Comfortable beds. Very clean.Nice view from window - on market square. Easy parking just under hotel. Very good breakfast - including smoked salmon and selection of cheeses.

Review 49:Nothing to dislike

Review 50:My friend and I booked this hotel for a one nights stopover to break our journey on the way to Cyprus. The hotel exceeded our expectations. Very nice and welcoming staff .Spacious bright rooms clean rooms that are tastefully furnished with very comfortable beds. The breakfast was excellent .The location is perfect, in the centre of this wounderful city.wish we could have stayed longer.

Review 51:The WiFi was very weak and the only stable signal could be found if you sit in the corridor.

Review 52:This is such a beautiful hotel in the main market place in Kempten. Benefits from underground car park. Ulrich on the reception was fantastic and extremely helpful in making arrangements, giving directions and making sure we were made very welcome.

Review 53:We spent one night in this hotel, the bed was comfortable and a nice clean bathroom . Kempten is a nice place to walk around and is very close to the highway. There are nice places for dinner and are very good value for money as well.

Review 54:breakfast room is a bit too small, so at the main time (around 8am) some guests did not find a place for the whole group/family

Review 55:all staff members were extremly friendly and highly interested in getting my needs fulfilled Help and answers were available or made available in a positive and timely mannor

Review 56:No tea/coffee facilities in room. No hotel bar for residence.

Review 57:Terrific restaurant, food and service 1st class. Situated close to town centre and all amenities.

Review 58:smell in room, pillows, room was "cold", no refrigerator, "shower" was NOT a shower...was bathtub with shower type of faucet, room was outdated and needs a "freshing up" plus parking was a problem.

Review 59:Wi-Fi, breakfast, VERY helpful staff, clean room, and location.

Review 60:Good location, nice room, good comfort of the bed, good value for money and excellent breakfast in a beautiful beakfast room We had dinner at the restaurant of the hotel very good Italian food (prices a little bit on the high side)

Review 61:Nothing at all.

Review 62:The hotel is centrally located in the delightful town of Kempten. Staff were very welcoming and couldn't have been more helpful. The rooms are extremely spacious, and the beds large and very comfortable. After a week in Italy we decided against the hotel's Italian restaurant and ate at the excellent 'Schalander' Bavarian restaurant a few minutes walk from the hotel instead. A wonderful place to stay.

Review 63:free parking is not too close. you should walk for a while.

Review 64:location is at the center of the town, very clean, very nice breakfast. i think it is the best place in the town

Review 65:As we had a disabled person in our group of 4 we booked parking. On arrival the nearest parking was a ten minuets walk away over cobbles. We had to arrange a taxi to and from hotel. We had called 3 days before to confirm parking for a disabled badge holder. The breakfast room was full and we waited with 8 other. visitors for almost an hour for a table for 4, all the rolls, salad and fruit had gone. In our 2 rooms at the rear of hotel we were woken at 05.00 hours with deliverys to supermarket. This continued until 07.30

Review 66:Situated in the main square. Friendly staff. Lovely rooms

Review 67:Deliveries to supermarket next door noisy in the morning.

Review 68:Nice hotel, in a very central location, obviously seen better days but good nonetheless. Nice room (304). Excellent breakfast

Review 69:Nothing was bad enough to complain about.

Review 70:Nice hotel, fast and efficient check in. Staff very helpful and friendly. There's an excellent breakfast layout in a relaxed atmosphere. Our room was large and spotless clean. It's a good location to stay for a few days as the train connection to various parts of Bavaria are very good. Its a great town for shopping and there's an abundance of outdoor cafe and restaurants to relax. I would stay here again.

Review 71:I thought the room was super, very large and loved the old style furniture. The breakfast at cost of 5e was excellent. Hotel was in a beautiful square with lots of restaurants. Staff very helpful, one to take note of.

Review 72:My husband and I stayed here with my parents while visiting Schloss Neuschwanstein (just a 45 minute drive from the castle, I think Kempten is far more charming than Fussen). We were extremely happy with the large, spacious rooms, comfortable beds and wonderful breakfast. The staff were very friendly and nothing was a problem at all. The location is also excellent. Kempten is a lovely little town and we are so pleased we stayed here.

Review 73:No tea/coffee facilities in room. You have to make your own in reception and pay.

Review 74:Location ( central position in a lovely, old town) Breakfast (great variety, nice dining room). Room large and clean, looked onto square.

Review 75:Nothing at all. Well except that the hotel was full and i couldn't book it for my return trip.

Review 76:Great location Friendly staff Secure parking free for a motorbike

Review 77:Noisy delivery to Norma supermarket at 6.45 am outside our window but were only staying 2 nts so not worth changing

Review 78:Friendly staff good breakfast secure parking very central location

Review 79:There was no fire escape apart from the inside staircase (being on the fifth floor of an old building).

Review 80:We were given a huge loft apartment instead of the quadruple room we booked, for the same price.

Review 81:Warm friendly greeting when we arrived, plus it was easy to find and the parking was next to the front door! It is a quirky little hotel but it has beautiful paintings and an amazing décor. It just seems to make you feel welcome. The room was a good size and the bathroom was more than adequate. The attached restaurant in the basement (cellar) is an absolute MUST DO - the food and service are excellent.

Review 82:Dated decor and no air conditioning. The rooms at the back were noisy owing to deliveries being made in the early hours to neighbouring shop by a large wagon each day at about 6am. No toiletries provided other than liquid soap.

Review 83:Reception staff very helpful.

Review 84:This hotel was very comfortable-good sized room and very handy to all parts of Kempten (10 euro taxi ride from the train station). Great breakfast and pleasant, helpful staff.
