Reviews for Hotel Seegarten
Review 1:Probably the most stunning pool and spa area in whole NRW. Something you'd rather expect in top location, but not in slightly old fashioned Sauerland.
Review 2:Appartment loft with a view - we stayed at the ground floor and the view there is rather poor. Breakfast finishes rather early (10AM) Rather older visitors, there's nothing to do during the night in the neighbourhood.
Review 3:We stayed at one of the appartment lofts, which was great. Awesome sky pool and sauna, nice breakfast and beautiful and clean room.
Review 4:We booked the very last room. A standard room, since it was the last one. On the pictures the standard room looked really nice, so we booked. But our room didn't look like the pictures that we saw. Pretty much every room in the hotel had a view, except ours. It can't say it was bad, since it was very clean and had a nice bathroom, but I have to say that we were a little disappointed. So if you don't book the very last room, you should be fine :-)
Review 5:NIce hotel. The pool and sauna area are beautiful. Breakfast is really good too!
Review 6:This is an excellent ran hotel with superb facilities. The Spa facilities really stood out and the staff were friendly. Excellent breakfast to start the day as well
Review 7:Our 'Loft Room' was on the ground floor, so could not see the lake or any real view, only everybody looking at us from the large car park which was in front of the room. The ground floor rooms need more screening. If you are given a ground floor 'Loft Room' see if you can change it for one floor up. WiFi poor, only allowed 1 connection per day for maximum time of 15 minutes. But these are minor points, you come for the location, walking and cycling, not to stay in!!
Review 8:Amazing hotel in a great location for leisure, walking and cycling. The new extension to the hotel with the 'Loft Rooms' is great and these rooms are well fitted out, with the swimming pool on the roof.
Review 9:Make sure you have cash on you for buying things on the Sorpesee boulevard
Review 10:Stayed in panorama loft of new section. Everything very new, clean and sharp. Room came with complimentary water and coffee cups and we could hook up our iPhones to the sound system. Solid working wifi. Spa and pool very well done. Outside there are a few small playgrounds for the kids. Great overview over the lake.
Review 11:Building works on extension, but that is a temporary situation. We booked this Hotel in March for a October arrival, to include dinner, the dining room had no reservation for us, so we were put into a large overflow room on our own, it was awful, and expensive.
Review 12:Location
Review 13:The single occupancy Suite in their new building, still under construction. The Suite was not finished, ( no balcony, no wifi, no telephone to reception, no lift, passageways from main building still in builders finish ). No Swimming pool, no bar.
Review 14:Staff were very friendly and embarressed, to offer me the accomodation. Restaurant was exceptionally good. Breakfast was also very nice.
Review 15:The location is great, plenty of eating choices nearby, the hotel is situated by the lake giving plenty walking and boating opportunities. They are building an extension next to the hotel but this caused no problem.
Review 16:Great stay at the Seegarten. The sky spa was fabulous. Loved the view from the sauna...
Review 17:location
Review 18:Nothing!
Review 19:Simply superb. We had a loft. Great design room. Fantastic skypool and spa. Great surrounding.
Review 20:Top Spa. Top Infinity Pool in die Sorpe .-)
Review 21:Large, very comfortable rooms with the lake's view. Perfect location for relaxing weekend.
Review 22:The new additions are 5 Star
Review 23:perfect and large rooms
Review 24:Poor restaurant organisation, constantly running out of food, plates, cups, cutlery at breakfast. We went home early.
Review 25:Excellent food in restaurant
Review 26:Windows and sills in the suite need a refresh.
Review 27:Helpful, above all, friendly staff. Any language issues were always sorted by getting another staff member along. The location overlooking the lake is "to die for" any time of year. Great place for a 50th and 70th birthday break.
Review 28:This is an excellent hotel at the end of the new Sorpesee promenade. The hotel will have a new building with 21 suites which are due for completion later in 2014. Standard of food could not be bettered. Plenty of parking space.
Review 29:The Rooms where very dirty. You can see the dust attached to the walls. Bathroom was very dirty(hairs) Beds are extremely uncomfortable, me and my girlfriend couldn't sleep nothing all night. Bed sheets are extremely low quality! Overall room compared to a hostel standard.
Review 30:Breakfeast was ok.
Review 31:The room I received was absolutely different (worse, uglier, less comfortable) than the one I booked and I've seen at booking.com. I couldn't do nothing about it because there was noone in the reception any more. It was very disappointing!!! Very cold in the room at the beginning.
Review 32:No lake-view although the room should have lake- view according to the website: our view was on the parkinglot. Several old chairs and a cot in the corridor and blocked emergency-exit
Review 33:Nice boulevard, nice restaurant El Diablo nextdoor with very nice personnel
Review 34:The room was just over the kitchen ventilation shafts and since the window was open, when we got in we were greeted by a heavy smell of old frying oil. Breakfast was a bit poorly organized, but is probably because there was a large wedding party staying there at the same time.
Review 35:Dinner in the restaurant was excellent.
Review 36:Do not trust this hotel. We booked well in advance but on arrival were told they hadn't got a room for us! There was a wedding there so guess what happened to our room. We were not told until we arrived, the manager said she had arranged a room in another hotel that turned out to be a poor 3star that cost us the same price as our discounted original booking.
Review 37:Zeer gastvrij. Prima kamers. Zeer grote suite 225. Restaurant van goede kwaliteit. Uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet. Gemiddelde leeftijd wat ouder. Omgeving niet verkend. Wij verbleven hier 1 nacht op doorreis. Al met al zeer tevreden.
