Review 1：heavy smell of Old tobacco smoke in all of the rom, the bathroom smelled like it's never experienced fresh air... The front door seemed to ben smashed several times, with a poorly repaired frame, not very pleasant....

Review 2：Were nice new rooms with unbelievable beautiful views on the see. The room was new everything was so perfect !! The owner is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great and you are in the middle of the small city center, trains, busses and ferries. It is really worth to stay there more than one night enough to do. Thank you Hotel Hirtshals again for a wonderful time.

Review 4：We just stayed overnight on our way from Norway to Germany, came late, the receptionist was friendly, guided us to our room in the new-opened high-rise. Great view, balcony, big and comfortable room. Bathroom with tub and separate shower.

Review 5：The Internet in the room didn't work so we had to go outside and enter the mail hotel to get online. Also, there's little to do in Hirtshals in the winter. If you travel from Norway to Hirtshals, go for the day.

Review 6：We stayed in a new part of the hotel that is still under construction. The room was incredibly comfortable and the staff was very nice.

Review 7：The hotel appears to be rundown. However, I was told that they are in the process of renovating the property. Many hotels in Denmark are in a similar condition and badly in need of upkeep. High cost of living and high taxation is largely to blame. Breakfast was unattractive and not Denmark at its best.

Review 8：Excellent location with a fabulous view of the sea and the harbour. Hotel is adjacent to the town center and less than 100n to nearest shopping and restaurant facilities. If the hotel is properly renovated this could be a jewel.

Review 10：The location is excellent. Short distance to shops and restaurants. There is a pub just outside where you can enjoy a beautiful sunset.

Review 11：Years of gunk in the toilet (!!!) No personell at the reception We asked for a baby cot and got one, but were told (in a very brusque manner) that we had to supply the sheets and duvets ourselves. The included breakfast was not very appealing - stale cereals and cheapest available spreads. No one cleaned the tables beween each seating. No window in the room, only a door that we couldn't keep open because it was a straight drop down two stories (not very baby friendly). Lax security: No smoke detector in the room, doors wide open everywhere, spare duvets and sheets kept in the hallways (fire hazard!). General upkeep very poor.

Review 62：The reception was friendly upon arrival. We wanted to stay for one nightto catch the ferry to Norway the next morning. We were give the keys toour room which consisted of one main room and a small bedroom as well asshower and wc. The rooms were bearable, the carpets were ok enough towalk on. But as soon as we entered there was an awful stench from theshower/toilet. We tried to air it out. Two out of four towels were dirtyand had to be changed. One sheet was full of brown stains. I was afraidof flees in the beds, but don't think there were. I had chosen the hotelbecause it was rather expensive and I therefore expected a satisfyingstandard. It reminded us of a run down youth hostel of the worst sort.The next morning there was heavy rain. In the smaller bedroom the watercame through the ceiling and dripped on the items we had put down besidethe window. We informed the reception. Breakfast was ok. But thereception was unfriendly and unhelpful. We will never stay in this hotelagain and hope to avoid staying overnight in Hirtshals altogether.

Review 64：Everything!! The room although comfortable was dirty. The general maintenance of the building. Overpriced for what was provided - making a profit due to the fact that people need to use them because they are close to the ferry port. No highchairs in the dining room for breakfast - had to get one for us from the adjacent restaurant! Mouldy fruit at the breakfast buffet. Flies flying around uncovered food. Scrambled egg was burned. Nothing was labelled - ie, milk. Apart from the receptionist behind the desk when we arrived, the rest of the staff were neither helpful, forthcoming or able to understand us (even with speaking English).

Review 65：Basically it was convenient because we needed to catch the ferry to Norway the next morning, nothing else!!!

Review 68：Access from the train station was our main criteria. It was across the street. The staff was friendly and helpful. Coffee, tea and snacks were always available in the lobby. The provided breakfast was excellent.

Review 69：The guy on reception was helpful, but was deaf.( Not complaining aboutdeafness ! ) After we recieved our keys and headed for the lift,reception guy went back to a video, on his computer, posted on you tube.It took us quite a while to attract his attention to let him know thelift did not work. Turns out he had not switched it on. ( The lift, nothis hearing aid. )

Review 70：Convenient for ferry to Norway. Nice hotel, good room size. Seemed wewere there when the hotel seemed a little out of season. It seemed a bitmusty, like nobody was around using the place. We thought at one time wewere the only couple there, but we think 4 rooms were used that night.On the whole it was ok
