Review 1：Single room towards a patio where some kind of machine was running 7/24. It was a constant background noise. Lots of stairs, no elevator and had heavy luggage.
Review 2：Friendly and accommodating staff. Excellent location. Basic but well kept place.
Review 3：had to park my bike in a dungeon about 100m away. Breakfast was pretty average.

Review 7：The room was so worn out, it needs to be renovated very badly. The toilet paper holder was falling off the wall, the bathroom fixtures looked to be 1960's vintage! Even the sheets had holes in them.
Review 8：Exceptionally friendly and accommodating staff let us check in early on a very rainy day. We were cycling so this meant so much to us. Everything was top-notch clean, which we were grateful for. The hotel restaurant is Chinese, and their lunch was delicious and very reasonably priced. Friendly waitress. The breakfast was also very good.
Review 9：The hotel was dirty, the carpets have not been cleaned since a long, long time. Also the place has not been renewed since I guess the 80s, lots of cracks in walls and ceilings, faded paint. Shady is how I would call it. The room we booked was clean, but the mattresses were old and very uncomfortable. The bedding was pretty old as well, we could tell from the thin fabric with many holes in it. The floor wasnt even, so we didn't feel comfortable walking around, the hallways were dirty, a broken table was stuffed in a corner, lots of dust and dirt everywere. The breakfast seemed to be ok - but I didn't feel comfortable eating because the restaurant was also very diry and im sure the kittchen was dirty, too. When I took my egg out of the bowl I found some brown, slimy stuff on the shell, clearly the bowl hadn't been cleaned for a long time. Grose!

Review 25：Everything. In the morning nobody speaks English. The carpet floor was never cleaned. The door, every time that someone opened a door/window in other floor the door was making a noise like PumPum. At 8am they were cleaning the other rooms, the corridor with a horrible noise of a vacuum cleaner. Doesn´t have parking. The price: In Überlingen there was a information center with the hotel prices and I noticed that the same hotel/room/n.persons costs 45€ and I paid 74 and I saw that a 4start hotel was the same price that I paid. I have a photo that proves it. A horrible stay.

Review 27：Only one thin blanket on the bed (no extra) so it was to cold to sleepwith open window. Had to turn on the heater because with one blanket wasto cold. I could not pay with bankcard (although I tried 2, the personform the hotel said it always happens with dutch bankcard (maestro) sohotelperson: fix this !!

Early closing for most things in Uberlingen.Bit noisy at restaurant closing time.
Review 38：Bang in the middle of town, between Mitte station and the lake.Friendly, helpful staff, though on an evening they are also running therestaurant. Room - comfortable- booked single but given a double and sort-of on its own meant no neighbours. Quiet if you have the window closed.Buffet breakfast (typical German style) ok.
Review 39：Dumpy. Seedy. Misrepresented. Seemed like it was located in a "questionable" area of town. Saw a naked man on a balcony smoking a cigarette in the late afternoon. Couldn't wait to get out of the place!!

Guests staying at the Hotel Sonne may still drive into the town centre in order to load and unload their luggage.For guests arriving by car, take the exit Überlingen Aufkirch and drive through the 2 old city gates. Take a left around 150 feet after the second gate in the narrow street of Pfarrhofstrasse. Drive past the Münster and the hotel is located on your right. (Münsterplatz 8b).
