Reviews for Classic Inn

Review 1:It was top floor so have to be careful of your head. The ceiling is pretty low.

Review 2:Close to Heidelberg HBF and if you booked the room you can check in anytime from the automated system. For a short stay, it was all okay. It has elevator at least.

Review 3:the walls are thin and you hear other people. But hopefully the other gusts were considerate people.

Review 4:The location was great and overall the hotel was good considering the low price.

Review 5:Saturday, Sunday begin to late the Breakfast............. and the openning time of the Reception not ideal. Very very narrow small Breakfas troom, and not friendly personal while having breakfast !!!! Also NO POSSIBLE to leave the suitcases some hours !! we need to leave them PAYING in the trainstation for some hours

Review 6:Very Central, you can see the Bahnhof /train Station from the window, it is aprox 2 blocks and very central with Tram, Bus, etc !!!!

Review 7:Beds were quite stiff and the first day we were without hot water and water pressure in the shower.

Review 8:Staff was very friendly and accommodated our needs. Breakfast was better than the usual German breakfast. The location was great, 3 minute walk to HD Hauptbahnhof.

Review 9:1. There were any consent for charging beside bed!!! Terrible... 2. The elevator located in middle of stairs. You should lift your luggage to your room if you will be upstairs.^ 3.little far from old city

Review 10:1.Free breakfast. But it was reasonable... 2.very close to train station.

Review 11:The room much too small for three beds. No notice was given that the hotel would be closed the very next day, as the staff were taking vacation. It was very hot, but no fan was provided. The breakfast items were recycled. The milk was sour.

Review 12:Conveniently near the central train station.

Review 13:No plastic bag in the waste basket. No fan for a warm day. No A/C, fortunately it rained. Expensive for the facilities provided. Breakfast was okay, very little fruit.

Review 14:The staff and services are great. Location was good.

Review 15:Cleaning the drinking glasses and changing towels, specifically floor towel was never changed throughout the period of stay. Bed was also not done during the cause of stay.

Review 16:Responsiveness of staff at the reception.

Review 17:The room looks a bit old and there was some noise from outside during the night

Review 18:Friendly staff, good breakfast, very close to the railway station, comfortable bed

Review 19:Breakfast was good but I was hoping for vegetables and fruits as well.

Review 20:Location is excellent, a couple minutes walk from the trainstation and not far from the old town either. Very quiet.

Review 21:The room was a little basic in terms of facilities. The bathroom was rather small and the shower didn't have a lot of pressure. No fridge, only one electrical socket, no bedside table (presumibly for lack of space). Quite far from the historical centre of town (almost half an hour's walk, though there is a convenient bus which gets you there in 15 minutes). WiFi a bit unreliable.

Review 22:Excellent German-style breakfest included. Very clean, very close to the main station /walking distance. Comfy bed. Quiet room.

Review 23:Nothing special to note, perhaps that the reception is closed after 8pm

Review 24:The rooms are super confortable, no noise from the streets, the staff really nice and excellent breakfast.

Review 25:Rude staff don't get the 1euro per day wifi- it just doesn't work. Bad breakfast- dirty, staff rude and overlook your every move. Bed linen dirty- whole room feels like a 70s cheap motel. Hotel entrance is through a Dark alley. Slow staff, no manners.

Review 26:- the internet did not work: it was impossible to use it (although we paid the requested fee): it was too slow, even worse than a dial-up connection - the parking is not on the hotel premises but on a public parking - they are not available 24h: the registration desk closes at 20.00 on workdays and much earlier on weekends and holidays

Review 27:the location is quite good: close to the railway station and the university campus/clinic

Review 28:The water pressure in the shower isn't great.

Review 29:Nice room with comfortable bed. Very close to the train station. Quiet location, 20 minutes walk into the city centre of Heidelberg. Breakfast was very good. Nice and helpful staff.

Review 30:Very small hotel. Very tight breakfast room made it hard to pick food. The staff did their best to be of service. Parking is a challenge. No parking that belong to the hotel.

Review 31:Close to central station which was a benefit for us as we went to Hockenheim race track by train.

Review 32:Breakfast was great, and the room was good

Review 33:A bit far from old town. No micropower can be used in the building.

Review 34:Close to train station, breakfast is included.

Review 35:Great location, friendly, helpful staff, easy access by tram to the city(4 stops)

Review 36:slow internet, no english tv channels

Review 37:comfortable room, clean, efficient, good breakfast

Review 38:We have to pay wi-fi

Review 39:Good location. Nearby the train station.

Review 40:No AC. A good 20-25 min walk to the old city.

Review 41:Location to train station.

Review 42:It was rather hard to find a restaurant in the surrounding area that was open.

Review 43:Easy to find. comfortable clean room,

Review 44:Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Review 45:No wifi

Review 46:The staff were friendly and helpful, with good knowledge and hint and tips for my travels .

Review 47:Noise from the hotel lift

Review 48:Having access to internet throughout my stay and willingness of reception staff to always provide necessary assistance

Review 49:location, staff, service were great

Review 50:- staff - rooms - location

Review 51:Reception was closed after 8 pm, I wasn't aware of this beforehand.

Review 52:Nice breakfast.

Review 53:The wi-fi signal was not very good in the room. Quite intermitent at the 4th floor.

Review 54:Very kind people. Excellent breakfast and cleaning.

Review 55:Location next to the main raiway station, very good breakfast.

Review 56:Location is next to train station Breakfast buffet is good Friendly staff

Review 57:No air conditioning!

Review 58:A very quite location ,tidy place , very friendly staff and good selection of breakfast.

Review 59:Room was very hot no air conditioning no fans available moved beds near windows and very dirty underneath would not re visit this hotel

Review 60:not very close to old town but still walking distance

Review 61:close to train station

Review 62:The jet lag.... but that is not your problem. Actually nothing at all.

Review 63:Convenient to rail station. Everything. We really enjoyed our stay. Loved it.

Review 64:Real Disappointment. It is a hotel of 1 star and I paid 190€ for 2 nights excluding internet. Too much for this hotel which is using a rate of 4 stars with a comfort and a service of 1 star hotel. I'm really disappointed.

Review 65:Nothing

Review 66:cant recommend this hotel unless its just a short stop over for 1 night. small room, outdated furniture.

Review 67:good location, close to train station, need bus or tram to the downtown area. breakfast was ok. quiet area of the city

Review 68:The breakfast place is too small and crowded.

Review 69:Excellent location. 10 minutes walk from Heidelberg HBF. Many buses and trams downstairs. There is a big supermarket downstairs where everything is damn cheap. The room is not spacious, but considering how much I've paid, it is pretty good. Everything is clean. There is an elevator so don't worry if have heavy luggages.

Review 70:the staff are friendly , and they do care about the residence and very corruptive the location is good not far from train station and food market

Review 71:No receptionist after 20:00 in the evening or after midday on Sunday.

Review 72:Convenient location near to train station yet tranquil also. Several bus and tram links to Alstadt outside. Decent breakfast.Good room and shower facilities.

Review 73:This is the only hotel I've ever stayed in where the receptionistwas having a telephone conversation (apparently with "theboss") during almost all of the checking in procedure, even when hetold the boss that we had arrived, the call went on and on, and wefilled in the paperwork that was shoved in front of us. I was extremelyclose to walking out, but I had no intention of giving them the chanceto charge us for a night's stay as a "no show". When thereceptionist did finally get off the 'phone, he was in such a rushto close the reception that we still had unanswered questions. As forwhy the reception was closing for the night, we have no idea. Theinformation on Booking states that check in is "from 14:00".So, had we arrived five minutes later, I suppose we would not have beenable to get in at all.Really, as someone in the hotel business, I cannot for the life of me understand such incredibly fundamental faults occurring. I don't like to write such a negative review, but our customers would raise hell if we ever treated paying customers in such a dire fashion. The fact that we were given such a basic room which cost more than the luxury apartment we had been staying in for the previous week did not help. What a shame.

Review 74:Basic city hotel, good breakfast, decent heating (which we needed as wewere there during a Sept cold snap).Heidelberg is worth seeing, but there are far better hotels.

Review 75:It was a bit warm when i stayed and there was no air conditioning, ceiling fan or even a desk fan to help cool the room down at night.

Review 76:Close to main train station, a supermarket and tram/bus stop nearby. Reception spoke good English. Clean and room smelt fresh.

Review 77:We stayed there over a very warm weekend and as there is no airco in the room it got pretty warm.

Review 78:The location is great because it is very close to the train station. Perfect for a city trip and for visits around Heidelberg.

Review 79:Thomas welcomed us when we arrived and assured me that I could safely park my motorbike in front of the hotel then helped carry a bag inside. Breakfast was well presented and very good. The other staff were friendly and cheerful.

Review 80:Internet was too slow and you have to pay 5 euro per day for that. Breakfast had limited choice.

Review 81:Value for your money and it is close to train station.

Review 82:Poor wi-fi, and at 5 euros/night quite expensive. Could do withsome better curtains/blinds to block out the light atnight/early morning.

Review 83:Really good location, set between the old city centre and the trainsstation. Also well served by multiple tram stations. A basic hotel, nothing fancy, but the room was very clean and spacious, and breakfastwas good as well with plenty of choice. Budget-friendly and good valuefor money. Quiet as well.

Review 84:The staff was complaining about the Espresso for breakfast. The eating room was too small. The entrance was just tiny.

Review 85:It is super clean. It was very comfortable in general. It was very calm at night.

Review 86:Distance from downtown is further than other options. Maybe a 20-25 minute walk.

Review 87:Was only a few minutes walk to train station, very easy to find. Was clean and provided essentials for the cost.

Review 88:There was a lift to get to the upper floors but it let you out halfway between the corridors which meant that you had to lug a heavy suitcase up/down a flight of stairs. The room was small but not unpleasantly so.

Review 89:Easy check in, very clean (particularly the bathroom/shower/toilet), cheap. Very close to the train station which is helpful if you have just arrived and don't want to take a taxi to your hotel.

Review 90:Breakfast was simple, Room was a little small

Review 91:Very close to train station, easy to walk to all part of the city, I didn't took any buss I just walk, A good hotel in budget class

Review 92:The reception is occupied until 20:00 and on weekends until 12:00. The Wifi rate is high 5 Euro and it is not per 24 h it ends 11:00 the next day, so if you arrive in the evening and you need to work on the internet you will pay 5 Euros for less than a day. It should be 5 Euros per 24h!

Review 93:It is simple, central, within walking distance of main station and Im Neuenheimer Feld where many academic events take place, close to transportation to Bismark Platz, very good breakfast, a big bed, good value for money

Review 94:Breakfast could be a bit reacher.

Review 95:Very friendly and helpful staff (all my requests about second pillow, smoking room, a bit early breakfast e.t.c.were couteous covered). Great location for me: a company I attended were in a few minutes by step. Also close to railway station (3 min) and city center (10-15 min).

Review 96:Staff abrupt and little unfriendly, castle on hills scenic but not really worth spending a few days here.just a day or over nite is about it!

Review 97:Fairly central and clean.

Review 98:It's a nice hotel, the location is near the train station so it's easyto get transport. The staff is very friendly especially the reservationstaff, he is a very fun person. The design of the room is very classic, but is very comfortable to say. I wish I could stay longer at thishotel, and I will for next visit to Heidelberg. Good job Classic Inn,two thumbs for you guys, and thank you booking.com to show me thiswonderful inn

Review 99:My only disappointments were - 1) it wasn't air-conditioned and we were there in the middle of a heat wave - on the 4th floor! and 2) the price was kind of high for a bare bones room. But the staff helped make up for it!

Review 100:The woman at the front desk was very friendly. And when we told her we had to catch a train the next morning before the included breakfast, she offered to leave us breakfast in our room the night before. It was so wonderful to get up at 6 am and have breakfast (juice, boiled egg, sandwich & gummi bear for the kids) in a bag ready to take on the train!!! And their location is fantastic - near the train station with all the buses and trams into the old part of Heidelberg.

Review 101:Elevator stops in between two room floors... That mean you always haveto go up or down with your luggage on the stairs.

Review 102:Very close to the train station.

Review 103:Very noisy at night (people shouting and screaming outside in the park), no receptionist on duty except in the daytime and nothing on the website about the importance of remembering to bring the booking number, as without this you can't get your key, very small/squashed/claustrophobic (I thought) entrance area and breakfast area, the buzzer at reception can't be heard by the person buzzing it so you assume it's not working and keep pressing (!), and the room was overpriced (in my opinion); I understand that prices fluctuate according to demand but this cost over double what I paid elsewhere in Germany and was much lower quality, I thought.

Review 104:Handily located for the station (and about an hour's nice walk, mainly along the river, to the castle), nice breakfast, nice shower and pleasant staff.

Review 105:The hotel is very bad ,no lobby ,no reseption ,rooms are so small &don't ask about the bath room it's totally disaster and the system ofroom keys is so stupid it's a magmatic cards to open the door and eventhe elevator but if you put the card near any electronic even you mobileit will be damage so if you come back after 8 pm to the hotel no one canhelp you and there is no reception as I told you , you will spent thenight at street !!!

Review 106:The Internet is good and the location

Review 107:Although the location suited for my trip as I needed to be close to the train station I would not recommend this location for those wishing to solely enjoy the beauty of Heidelberg - the old centre of the city is much better suited for this type of accommodation.

Review 108:Location -near to train station. 15 - 20 minutes walk to city centre. Very confortable room. Quiet environment as well. Good breakfast.

Review 109:The reception area and the breakfast-room were a bit small. You have to pay for the wifi.

Review 110:The kindness of the staff and the breakfast.

Review 111:Sauber, sehr gut Frühstück und bequem

Review 112:The reception staff were very helpful and friendly.

Review 113:I like receptionist in the afternoon & evening. He is so kind and friendly.

Review 114:Expensive and bad Internet Service. No services after 8pm TV not working Not accepting AMEX during second stay

Review 115:Cleanness

Review 116:Kindness

Review 117:Breakfast was only served from 8am and no hot food

Review 118:Location is quite good in Heidelberg

Review 119:Close to train station, but not so much to the old town

Review 120:No nearby bicycle parking.

Review 121:Easy access when arriving after hours, when the staff was not on duty.

Review 122:A bit noisy... due to proximity of rail station. Cramped room.

Review 123:Convenience to public transportation.

Review 124:it is good friendly

Review 125:in general it is good place to stay

Review 126:Price, Facility & Literally no services

Review 127:Close to Train station but still 2 Kms away from center of City

Review 128:Great budget hotel: simple, clean, well run. Tight spaces and no luxuries, although they serve a very nice free breakfast. Great staff.
