Review 2：The owners and staff are very friendly, open and experienced. The location, close to the Bodensee, is great for a vacation experience. The restaurant is superb, the food excellent.

Review 5：There was not much to dislike though there was limited space to sit inside the hotel for a late evening drink. The location is, of course, a bit touristy but the upside of that is that there are plenty of bars and restaurants close by - plus the reason we went there in the first place was to "tour" the area.
Review 6：The location is great, right beside the Bodensee/Konstanz. The hotel itself is a family run concern that was converted from a brewery some generations back. It retains a classic style and charm and is clean and comfortable. The restaurant is good with a varied menu, including some traditional german dishes, and is mid-priced. Staff were very helpful and we enjoyed evening beers on the roof terrace - the stone chickens on the first floor landing caused great amusement.

The restaurant in the hotel is excellent, The menu is varied and the food is beautifully prepared and presented. The lake is just a very short wallk away, The terrace restaurant is wonderful for coffee, light refreshments or a meal.. The hotek is located in the heart of town with interesting shops close by.

Review 33：Only spent one night, but most impressed. The room was comfortable an well equipped, with a view of the lake. The first floor includes a library and access to a terrace with deck chairs etc. The hotel (which has its own car-park) is barely three minutes' walk from the lake promenade. At current exchange rates the price of the room is at least 25% less than the equivalent in a British tourist town. The breakfast buffet is excellent.

Review 37：A very charming hotel indeed.We could sense the history of this old patrician villa from the moment we stepped in the door and looked up the grand staircase.Great ambiance, especially the library on the first floor. Excellent location steps from the lake. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bicycles were secure.

Stylish and up-to-date decor but with a sense of history and a feeling of spaciousness. A touch of luxury without costing the earth.
Review 40：No yogurts for breakfast. Would have been a good alternative to breads as I am intollerant to most flours. However I had not mentioned anything about this so in no way can I complain about the service at the hotel.

Review 42：I liked everything actually, including the entertaining grey parrot. Very light and well-appointed room, with balcony and comfortable chair. Excellent choice at breakfast and good coffee. Very welcoming on arrival, and efficient, pleasant and polite throughout. Good parking facilities. Although not on the lakeside, still very close to it but away from the noise of people. Would certainly stay here again.
Review 43：Charming hotel with a great staff. We enjoyed our first stay inUberlingen. Fantastic location...this hotel right on the frontage andseconds to the waterfront. You can view the water from your room. Thelake is fantastic. Boats, ferry walking distance from this hotel. Staffis helpful and friendly. Many great city walks, low hills, andinteresting historic finds throughout the city. Wednesday had an amazingfarmers market (buy a sausage grilled outside!!!) a great find. Tons ofgreat shopping and fabulous restaurants withint minutes from the hotel.The hotel has a lovely outside patio and upstairs patio for enjoying theviews of the Bodensee (Lake Constance).

Nice clean room and very friendly staff.30Seconds from the edge of Lake constance with stunning views. Was ableto park the bike in the garage overnight which is always a benefit as itwas unfortunately raining! Ate evening meal in the restaurant, food wasexcellent! Breakfast, typically German - nothing exciting but good fare.
Review 45：I have stayed at the Ochsen several times and each time has been a pleasure and delight. The Waldschuetz family are very welcoming and the staff are capable and friendly. The location, so close to the Bodensee, is ideal for walks or for just sitting and watching the lake and the birds. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, clean and well-maintained, modern bathrooms. The breakfast is very good and the restaurant is excellent. Service in the dining room is very professional and friendly. I plan my visits to Ueberlingen based on whether there is a room free at the Ochsen. Wonderful place to stay in every way.

The location is excellent, directly onthe shore of the Bodensee, with beautiful views in every direction. Ionly wish this wonderful hotel were not so far from my home. I can notpraise this hotel and the family Waldschuetz enough. Each time I havebeen there has been a really pleasant experience--and it is also greatvalue for the money.
