Reviews for Atlantic Hotel Sail City

Review 1:There was not a coffee/tea maker in the room. Despite being hotel guests, there's a fee to take the elevator to the observation deck.

Review 2:The rooms have great views of the harbor. It's also only a few minutes walk from the city center and main museums. The breakfast buffet had plenty of choices. Our room accommodated one extra bed with still a bit of space left.

Review 3:Lift arrangements strange- doors opening on different sides and reception not marked with the same floor in every lift.

Review 4:Helpful staff. Comfortable rooms. Good breakfast

Review 5:According to the booking, I was supposed to have bathrobe/slippers, but didn't. I would roll to the middle of my bed and fall in the crack; never had that problem with Euro bed before. Never did get connected to WiFi. These are not deal breakers.

Review 6:The staff at check in/check out, breakfast and dinner were wonderful!!!!! My room was nice and I liked the bathroom. The views were nice and the location super. Food at dinner and breakfast was fantastic.

Review 7:Nothing

Review 8:Amazing architecture. Fantastic interiors. Great ambience in the public areas. Loved it! Husband is wheelchair user and the room was just ideal for us.

Review 9:The hotel is extremely overpriced and one has to pay extra for the parking. The windows from the outside were very dirty and it ruined the view. The double bed was just two beds placed together and they moved very easily which was not very comfortable.

Review 10:The location of the hotel is perfect and our room had s nice view. The breakfast was very tasty and filling.

Review 11:The bar on the top floor does not exist and the Internet is very slow. Although it is impressive on the outside, it is nothing special really.

Review 12:The Location and the breakfast

Review 13:* Unfriendliest hotel and restaurant staff that we have ever been encountering in Germany! Not only a single person, but seemed more like an attitude. * An info card in the room claimed discount for hotel guests in restaurant. We found about this afterwards, and nobody mentioned anything. They also managed to forget (!) part of our order. * They preauthorized my credit card for 50 EUR extra than the price. * Price to real value was too high. We've been into much nicer, cleaner and happier 4-stars in bigger cities for half the price. Basically you are only paying for the view from your room. * Breakfast table was annoyingly chaotic between 9-10 AM. People/staff were running into each other all the time. * Be careful to not pay for the parking price if you don't have a car (7 EUR / day). It seems obvious of course but for this particular hotel it isn't!

Review 14:The view from the room was nice. That was about the only thing that I enjoyed.

Review 15:The rooms were under furnished, cold and unwelcoming. The beds were very uncomfortable and 2 single beds pushed together with separate bedding, even here in Germany, does not constitute a double bed. The view was great so long as you leant around to pear out of the window. Not a Luxury hotel room with a view for which the upgrade was paid. overpriced considering the disappointment of the room. We have spent the last 6 weeks in a Citadines Hotel and this in comparison is luxury!

Review 16:The staff were great! the food was ok. The view was OK the Location was great. Breakfast was very good too. Nice Bathroom.

Review 17:The hotel is relatively knew and situated in the middle of the recently revitalized docks area where there are many tourist attractions such as the Emigrants museum and shopping area.

Review 18:Just a shame the sauna was out of order...

Review 19:The staff were very helpful and polite. The Breakfast was outstanding. Particularly liked the choice of fish... It is Fishtown after all..! And the complimentary smoothie. Great view over Bremerhaven and the Weser.

Review 20:Beds, i already had the new matras, it was far to soft, so backpain, next day the hotel put in a plank, (new matras) it was some better but still backpain Price of the beer 4,80 crazy

Review 21:Breakfast

Review 22:Although located adjacent to the harbour, this hotel is somewhat overpriced given it's lack of 4 star quality. It is more style over substance. Apart from the few old vessels and other maritime exhibits in the immediate vicinity, Bremerhaven is totally lacking in tourist interest. The shopping options are very downmarket with a grotty and depressing pedestrianised area in the High Street.

Review 23:Front desk staff helpful and efficient. Bedroom and bathroom reasonable size and quite comfortable although lack of bedside tables/cabinets was a nuisance. Cold breakfast items OK - did not try the few unappealing hot food items (overdone bacon and scrambled eggs).

Review 24:view, breakfast, staff

Review 25:The blankets provided did not match the length of the bed. The restaurant was full and guests were not allowed.

Review 26:Good location, friendly staff, comfortable, good food

Review 27:I Had to pay to upgrade my room as the bed was smaller than advertised. I ended up in a smoking room

Review 28:I expected a lager fitness area in a hotel like this. The staff was not that friendly at breakfast

Review 29:the room do not have seif.

Review 30:the restaurant has very good meniu.

Review 31:I think, that parking should be included in the price of this four strar hotel.

Review 32:Beautiful view, beautiful place, beautiful service.

Review 33:Friedliness & helpfulness of staff. Room size & vanities.

Review 34:Close proximity of conference facilities to accommodations. Also close proximity of Hotel to a wide range of maritime related attractions.

Review 35:Pillows way too soft.

Review 36:Fabulous location

Review 37:Great location, view, good restaurant in the hotel

Review 38:bed linen (blanket) is too small.

Review 39:breakfast was very good

Review 40:Mike very bad sound on day time room windoo glass

Review 41:Very good view

Review 42:the staff was not friendly they were cold did not smile much or look you in the eye

Review 43:the room was very nice and the bed was very comfortable

Review 44:Design bathroom - nice, but a bit difficult to find how tu push shower on :-)

Review 45:Nice location, view on harbor, good breakfast, very clean.

Review 46:Location

Review 47:Parking should be for free.

Review 48:The view from the 8th floor is brilliant. Well worth paying a bit more for. Breakfast was excellent.

Review 49:Breakfast was terrible! I appreciate that we came down for breakfast on the Sunday morning at a busy time however the fact that in the main restaurant there appeared to be at least two tables that needed clearing we could have simply waited. We where however seated in the overflow area. Not a big deal but the food in the buffet was terrible!! Bacon so crispy it was inedible, Scrambled eggs that where a hardened mass. A wonderful selection of jams that had no names identifying them so difficult to figure out which would be suitable. Poor service in getting coffee. A major disappointment to the end of what had been a most enjoyable weekend.

Review 50:The room was as advertised and we had a wonderful view. With the extra bed for our 6 year old daughter included in the price and made up on arrival the service was wonderful. The Hotel layout is clearly mimicking a cruse ship and is novel and interesting.

Review 51:WiFi was not work at the beginning, duo to a mistake in the name VERY EXPENSIVE breakfast At the entrance of the hotel there is no path to the baby pram, we were forced to wear them me and my wife !! I was shocked at the beginning of this big drawback

Review 52:nice location nice staff nice lobby Furniture stately

Review 53:Small rooms, thin walls, only one pillow and lack of sleepers with quite small bath. No iron safe for values

Review 54:Good view on harbour, breakfest, tea\coffe at room for free each day

Review 55:Rooms were a bit small for the money, but clean and comfortable.

Review 56:Perfect location to sites and great places to eat nearby. Not well advertised but I would recommend the Mediterraneano shopping center. And the tall sail ship in the harbor for dinner. The inclusive breakfast was one of the better I have had!

Review 57:Very clean, great view, and great location across from a mall and tourist attractions. Great bed, great room and bathroom... I got great rest. Staff was very friendly and spoke English... breakfast was excellent.

Review 58:Breakfast buffet amazing and the staff wanting to please hotel guests.choice of coffees, teas, juices and a welcome smoothy every morning of a different flavour

Review 59:The bed was wonderful! It was convenient to the German Emigration Center and many other enjoyable areas. We had a very nice view of the ocean and of the tower that changed colors at night. That was a pleasant supprise. We are from the US and the 2 people at the desk spoke very good English.

Review 60:The pillows are rather uncomfortable.

Review 61:Clean hotel in a superb location, if it rains or snows you do not evenhave to walk outside for shopping and dinning. It is also close tosightseeing. Good size room very clean, great modern design beautifulviews from the third floor of the ocean and crusie ships, they have agreat breakfast with lots of choices.

Review 62:Room was cold and took a while to heat up but outside it was -15C. I asked for an additional duvet to keep warm and was supplied immediately.

Review 63:Excellent views of the river and the restaurant is very good. Very close to main shops, zoo and museums.

Review 64:Parking Charges

Review 65:The facilities

Review 66:The top side bar was closed, if this bar will be open for guests I willrecomand the hotel if not the hotel is only average

Review 70:The price was a bit too high.
