Reviews for Pension Onkel Ernst
Review 1:The very good breakfast was prepared and served with care. The charming upper level, lofted room had exposed beams and angled ceilings making it very charming. It's decorations were simple and lovely.
Review 2:Very cosy and quirky room. Super clean and friendly staff and owner. Excellent breakfast served by helpful staff. Nothing to criticise everything wonderful.
Review 3:The blurb on their website said that the parking was private and was onsite. This is not true. It is a public car park up the street over verywobbly cobbles and sandy dirt. The narrow busy street outside theentrance to the Pension means it is impossible to off-load luggagedirectly outside. The park was however closed at night with gates, andthe 4 Euro cost an be off-set by buying any product from theneighbouring chemist, who then gives you a token for the car park. Theyclaimed to also have wifi, which was true; but they didn't mentionthat it won't work on the bottom storey (our flat) and is alsopresumably very weak in other rooms since we met another guest trying toget online when we went to access wifi from the breakfast room on thetop floor. So just be warned that if you have a lot of luggage, it mightbe quite a mission getting it inside.
Review 4:The breakfast was beautifully done with a variety of sliced fruits notnormally found in German breakfasts. Amenable and friendly waitress andthe tables and room all attractively modernised. The room was lucklydownstairs and spread out so the bathroom was alongside the bedroom witha walkway along. Very quiet, with a welcome bottle of fizzy water. Thewhole impression is of a very tasteful and artistic house which appealsto the eye. There was, thanks to the foyer, plenty of room for us to putour things.
Review 5:Such a special place! Very quite, clean and nicely decorated rooms. Parking is very close to the hotel. Owners of the hotel are very hospitable and open people, which makes it very special to stay there and to get some feeling of German culture. The breakfast is the best that we have ever tried. It wasn't just tasty, it was served in beautiful tableware and decorated with flowers and greens. The whole experience is just unforgettable and we are recommending this place very strongly!
Review 6:Good location, parking, clean rooms and an excellent breakfast. Perfect for a family on a road trip through Europe.
Review 7:Everything. Very friendly staff and beautiful rooms.
Review 8:Our room was big and very charming. Breakfast was good and generous. All the staff was helpful and very friendly. Very convenient location: historical center, restaurants, shops are all at walking distance. The hosts were very nice and gave us really good suggestions for restaurants. Practical and inexpensive bicycle rental, which was great for us, as we discovered the area and the great wine yards by bike, enjoying the peaceful and beautiful landscape. Thanks! Vielen Dank!
Review 9:Nothing.
Review 10:Liked everything. Literally all of it. Room was superb, clean and spacious. Breakfast was outstanding each morning. Naumberg was a much needed pause from Munich, Berlin, and the city scene in general. The town has a gorgeous cathedral and a lot of great shops and eateries, each only a quick walk from the hotel.
Review 11:Uncomfortable bed (mattress, pillows, short and fat blankets are as seend and experienced in many German hotels), no credit cards accepted, fee for parking
Review 12:Very nice and friendly hosts, tasteful interior design
Review 13:The breakfast was beautifully presented and excellent. The ladies who run this are efficient and very helpful. There are the little extras like a kettle if you want one for your room. This was a charming and convenient location for the town. Good suggestions for restaurants. too.
Review 14:had to pay 4€ for car park nearby but seems to be the norm in Naumburg
Review 15:Bright comfortable room with massive bathroom & large shower area, convenient for Market Square in pretty Naumburg, a bit further to reach Cathedral, good breakfast, easy to find
Review 16:No internet in the rooms (only in the common area), they don'taccept credit cards
Review 17:Very friendly staff, cozy environment, spacious room, rich and tastybreakfast, position close to restaurants and historical centre
Review 18:There was a little lack of comfort, but for this money it was OK.
Review 19:I think the owner of the hotel is the only person in Naumburg who speaks well English. So he helped me in my contact with booking a taxi-driver and other things. Stylish rooms and interior. A rich and varied breakfast. Very nice town.
