Review 2：Very nice location, nice rooms. Great breakfast. Don't charge extra for wifi, breakfast, safe box or swimming pool access.

Review 5：There was a funny smell in the room and in different places of the hostel, very annoying. The breakfast was not so great. The pool looked pretty discusting, we didn't feel like using it after having a look at it.

Review 9：The Internet was so slow it was practically unusable! This is unacceptable for a boutique hotel. The coffee served in the hotel is so foul it is almost undrinkable.

Review 10：This historic hotel is practically a piece of art! The sweeping staircases and the old lamps and telephones that dot the hotel practically carry the guest back a century in time. The lobby and restaurant are wonderful communal spaces and have a rich ambience. The bathtub in the room is deep and a luxurious place to soak and unwind.

Review 13：This time I had room # 117 and in this room the places to plug-in where not appropriately located: the ones at both sides of the beds were not applicable to plug in the laptop or mobile/ipad plugs. The desk of the room did not have a place to plug in so I had to do it with the one of the bathroom. In the restaurant the waiter service of the night were too slow and the breakfast was of poor variety of food.

Review 47：During my whole stay the bathroom smelled very badly, probably because the building is very old. One day the water in the shower and in the rest of the bathroom was brown. The hotel staff was not ready to help. The price is too high for such poor facilities.

Review 53：The spa facilities did not open until 9am. The reception staff opened the gym early but there was no air conditioning (it is underground) and only some of the machines had power. We also had some initial problems with parking at the hotel, even though we had stated in our booking that we required parking. The staff were however helpful in trying to resolve the issues (there are limited spaces for parking seemingly and they were all occupied when we arrived).

Review 56：What didn't we like?! This place was a very welcome surprise, the staff were fantastically helpful and nothing we asked was too much trouble. The rooms were perfect for relaxing in after many months of travel, the bed was very comfortable and the room was very spacious. The hotel in is a beautifully restored and maintained old building, but also some of the artwork around was very modern and impressive (particularly "Borges" behind the reception desk - wow). The pool is on the small side but very welcome after a hot day sightseeing. But by far, the biggest surprise was the very high standard of the restaurant! Every single thing we ate from there was just great, including room service which was lovely when we were just too tired to go out - a very welcome treat! Overall, this is a fantastic hotel and they should be very proud - we would go back in a heartbeat and highly recommend it.

I asked for a room with a good view, but the roomactually overlooked a small courtyard and a construction site. However,I stayed only for one night and did not complain.
