Reviews for Best Western Premier Arosa Hotel

Review 1:Restaurant were closed on Sunday, but not far to walk to find one in town

Review 2:Great wellnes area, very comfortable in general a very good hotel Good secure parking

Review 3:Most hotels in Germany no longer charge for a small pet. This hotel tried to charge 20,+ euro, this is the most we have ever been asked in a German hotel. Only after complaints did the manager reduce the charge to 14. For the 14 euro we received absolutely nothing. Other hotels have provided bowls for drinking water and food as well as a place for the dog to sleep. They will claim that it is for extra cleaning after the dog, but it really is not the case. Rooms have to be cleaned very well after each visit, dog or no dog. Our dog leaves absolutely no trace. Very disappointing and unfriendly manager

Review 4:Very nice and clean hotel, with the city centre within walking distance. Small lobby with a friendly atmosphere and good coffee and typical German cookies. Staff is typically German too: very friendly albeit a bit frigid.

Review 5:Room was a bit small and heating was difficult to control.

Review 6:Very clean hotel in typical Best Western style. Good eye for details such as good coffee and cookies in the lobby. All city sights within walking distance. Affordable parking facility.

Review 7:Some staff offhand . Admonished by one for booking a double room for one person and then querying why I was charged for 2 persons breakfasts. Verging on rude. The receptionist could have handled it better. Barely a goodbye from her too. Also sauna out of action.

Review 8:Location and facilities.

Review 9:Nothing to dislike.

Review 10:Excellent location. Good Car parking facilities. Pleasant, efficient and helpful staff. Swimming pool and Sauna facility is excellent. Tell's Bar off the Reception lobby is small but cosy and efficiently supervised by a very friendly and helpful lady.

Review 11:Breakfast, rude staff 15 Euro per person, had to ask for everything as nothing was out, would go out for breakfast, 8 of us went for 4 nights cost Euro 480. Expensive and not worth 5 Euro per person - sorry.

Review 12:The hotel in an excellent location we were on floor 7 fantastic views of the City. Would recommend also lovely pool with SPA, would go back but avoid breakfast.

Review 13:* Unpleasant pretentious staff * My first (superior) room had an old bathtub, I had to wait 5-10 minutes for hot water, the air conditioner couldn't be turned off and the room was cold. Only when I told them I wanted to check out and move to another hotel, they offered me a deluxe room, at first with extra charge, but then they dropped it. * I couldn't get to the terrace, they claimed it was permanently close. * The pictures are misleading.

Review 14:Excellent location, close to everything

Review 15:Not applicable

Review 16:Absolutely amazing hotel .. Fantastic view from our room .. Very comfortable and roomy.. Large bathroom with large bath .. 2 basins .. Also seperate toilet which is good .. Use of sauna and pool .. Excellent breakfast every morning.

Review 17:We weren't impressed with breakfast. The staff were not attentive and the choice of food limited. In a hotel of this standard (and with predominently British guests when we were there) it should be possible to have a decent cup of breakfast tea !

Review 18:The central location was good. We particularly liked the terrace bar and as it was very hot while we were there we ended up there on both evenings. Pleasant reception staff.

Review 19:The bed. I booked a double bed and I don't really expect to have two mattresses that make up a double bed. It not comfortable to sleep as a couple when every few minutes one of you falls down the gap in the middle!

Review 20:Clean room, well equipped room e.g. nice tv.

Review 21:I always stay at this hotel. It has a great location, they have recently upgraded the sauna, pool etc. Small bar, but that's not important. Turn right out of the hotel for all the food venues, turn left for shopping. Great location.

Review 22:No facilities for smokers. No seating on the terrace which seems to be for corporate events only.

Review 23:Nice clean comfortable hotel close to city centre. Mini bar, TV, Wifi. Good breakfast service. Pool & sauna both good.

Review 24:Turn off the heating as you arrive it gets warm. The cleaning is a bit lazy, the rooms dated and there is no gym.

Review 25:Location, parking and free internet (although slow at times) are great

Review 26:Difficult to navigate to our rooms as their were two lifts. Was disappointed that the advertised Sauna was not available as it was being built/renovated.

Review 27:Great and helpful staff. Free coffee machine next to the door. Amazingly comfortable beds.

Review 28:Pool and sauna being refurbished so not available. Work on them advertised in hotel as starting from 9 am every morning but we were both woken at 7.30 on a Saturday morning from the drilling and hammering. Also, took the hotel 55 minutes at midnight to find me a pillow made from anything but feathers. If you have allergies to animal hair/ feathers this is not the place to sleep! Made me really ill.

Review 29:Central location. Good bar and restaurant facilities. The promise of a pool and sauna.

Review 30:Unfriendly staff when I complained of the noise of a pneumatic drill above our heads on the Saturday morning that I stayed. Basically shrugged shoulders and pointed out sign informing guests of an inconvenience of noise. (Was well more than that) at 9.15 am as had to get up and leave hotel. Would have not stayed if informed beforehand. Not expected of a 4star hotel!!

Review 31:Location and clean and tidy room and bathroom. On site parking.

Review 32:There is a little room for improvement with lighting in the bedroom. Perhaps a higher value bulb will help with my old eyes. This is not a complaint - merely a suggestion.

Review 33:It is the second time we have stayed here. The first occasion was by chance when we quickly transferred to this hotel after a very bad experience at another hotel in Paderborn. This hotel is what it says - "Premier". It is clean, comfortable, efficiently staffed in all departments and the fact that car parking is on site adds to the experience. Food at breakfast is good and plentiful.

Review 34:expensive breakfast, 10 euros for parking lot, very strong air refresher smell in the room (although the smell was nice)

Review 35:swimming pool, electric kettle in the room

Review 36:zero

Review 37:We have stayed at the Arosa Hotel many times and have never been disappointed, not many Hotels have swimming pools and Paderborn is a lovely town to visit.

Review 38:Small reception that got very crowded when a coach party arrived and we were trying to get to the lift. Breakfast very busy

Review 39:Free room upgrade and excellent breakfast.

Review 40:Traffic noise disrupted sleep even though I had asked for a quiet room, would have preferred to be on the other side of the building

Review 41:Good location. Tasty breakfasts with plenty of choice Very helpful staff Beautifully clean

Review 42:The front desk assistants are not hepfull nor friendly. The restaurant in the terrace has not light enough to eat and the waitresses are not profesional The bar timetable is changed every days.

Review 43:The swimingpool and the amazing Paderborn view from our room in the sixth floor.

Review 44:Fabulous hotel , cannot fault anything , staff were very friendly and helpful. Free coffee , use of computer and printing service in reception and hotel exceptionally clean.

Review 45:receptionist was rude

Review 46:the room was perfect. quiet, spacious and nicely presented.

Review 47:Location, room cleaning, garage availability

Review 48:Long walk from reception to room

Review 49:The pool

Review 50:Great location close to the town. Lovely and clean and a nice little bar that is open late.

Review 51:Unzuvorkommendes Personal

Review 52:quiet and nice

Review 53:Everything.

Review 54:Staff are excellent. Facilities are great. Hotel spotless.

Review 55:Car park charge

Review 56:I guess they could add gym maybe.

Review 57:Staff are really pleasant people. UK could learn a lot from that.

Review 58:Good location , clean, tidy , comfortable and quiet , friendly efficient staff , breakfast was very good .m

Review 59:Swimming pool was cold !

Review 60:Great location Comfortable rooms

Review 61:The staff are excellent, nice terrace restaurant, rooms are nice

Review 62:The lady in the lounge bar was very friendly we have to say staff are all very good and the pool area a great asset

Review 63:Car par spaces a bit tight

Review 64:Lovely rooms great breakfast very quiet.

Review 65:Thought the breakfast was poor. We had breakfast relatively late as we went out first

Review 66:Very comfortable, extremely nice staff.

Review 67:In room amenities for hot drinks, comfortable bed, free wifi, location. Spacious. Good breakfast buffet.

Review 68:Bath is very slippery!

Review 69:Nice, clean rooms

Review 70:Free wi fi worked very well throughout the hotel. All the staff we came into contact with were polite and friendly. Excellent hotel!

Review 71:Pool closed Restaurant closed

Review 72:Worth the money

Review 73:A bit soulless and v small bar

Review 74:Location, breakfast, wifi

Review 75:The hotel was clean, comfortable and well staffed. If we return to Paderborn, this hotel will be our first choice.

Review 76:The safe wasn't working and couldn't be fixed

Review 77:Everything Free coffee and tea in the foyer The st nickolas gift

Review 78:Bed Sheets replacement Shower tools replacement Towel replacement

Review 79:Location Breakfast

Review 80:Staff and facilities

Review 83:very nice hotel with an excellent location in a lovely city

Review 84:Short walk into town centre, coffee facilities in room, comfy beds, amazing shower. Very clean and quiet hotel. Free coffee bar in lobby.

Review 85:Connection to Internet in room not good, disappointed , only good in the lobby.

Review 86:Staff are very friendly, helpfull.

Review 87:NOTHING :)

Review 88:Everything from the moment we arrived till the moment we left was absolutely perfect. we are a couple travelling on a motorbike and the facilities, swimming pool large room, toiletries, complimentary coffee in the lounge, location to centre of town, secure parking and very helpful friendly staff was amazing. Thanks a lot and wee will return when we are back in Paderborn.

Review 89:The elevator system is very time consuming especially during morning 'rush' hour where everyone is going to breakfast and checking out.

Review 90:Easy to reach, close to some good restaurants. Good spa/welness facilities on top floor.

Review 91:the hotel isn't a looker when you arrive but it is just lovely from the inside and the view out from the 7th floor makes up for it. Rooms where very warm and aircon only works in summer month. window opens all the way even on he 7th floor which I suppose is not very safe for staying with kids etc. Was quite noisy as we had to have the window open to not meld away during the night. not great sleep because of this.

Review 92:loved the view, the breakfast, the room and overall hotel facilities, the location is perfect

Review 93:I don't like hearing staff talking about the customer (me) or the individual I am with. If they have something to say they should either say it to my face or go into another room to giggle and gossip. Staff should be conscious that some costomers speak other languages in this particular case German.

Review 94:Overall a very good experience and I would book again.

Review 95:I was sick on New Year's Eve, but the Hotel Arosa was a wonderful place to get well fast!

Review 96:The hot bath and very comfortable bed with luxury thick linen! Also, the view of Paderborn out my window, and the wonderful breakfast with champagne!

Review 97:The staff were extremely unfriendly and not helpful at all, the roomswere tiny and not particularly clean when I turned up there we hadhair in our bathroom and on the ''fresh'' bed sheets. The hotel was supposed to be a 4 star hotel however the pictures onthe website are very deceiving the hotel is of a very low standardand was not enjoyable to be in .. The leonardo hotel was also muchfurther away from cologne city than what was said on booking.com 3.5kwas not an accurate account of the distance from leonardo to the citycentre and the hotel was a 15 minute tram to get to the city. I wouldnot stay in this hotel again it was a horrible stay full ofunfriendly and unpleasant staff and uncomfortable rooms which havepoor facilities in them!

Review 98:The only good thing about the Leonardo hotel was the breakfast andcheap car parking .. Also the day me and my husband got to leave wasthe best thing!

Review 99:Red wine in the mini-bar was in the fridge.

Review 100:Good breakfast, especially liked the smoked salmon. Very good evening meal, even after 10pm when we arrived late. All the staff spoke good English and were helpful. View towards the cathedral from our room (602)

Review 101:we had our breakfast delivered to our room it looked great and what a choice but what let it down was it was all cold.

Review 102:there was everything in our room we could think of. I forgot my toiletries bag but didnt need to worry because it was all there.

Review 103:dirty cups not removed from room on cleaning smell of cigarette smoke in room on entering on second day of stay

Review 104:Very comfortable beds Good breakfast decent size, well equipped bathroom

Review 105:Spacious, smart, clean room with lovely view of the city. Good shower, towels and toiletries. Plenty of TV channels. Large, clean pool. Excellent variety of foods on the buffet at breakfast. Excellent location, easy walk to sites, shops and restaurants. Best steak I've ever had at Gaucho's nearby.

Review 106:The hotel is of good quality. Improving the hotel to ‘very good’ could be in details: I found the rooms provided with a kettle, but not with tea bags. Outside the hotel there was a lot of noise. Luckily the rooms are soundproof. However, outside the summer season there is no ventilation, so for cool and fresh air, one has to rely on opening a window. There is a good and free wireless internet, but the code has to be asked for at the front desk, and has to be renewed every day.

Review 107:Everything! The staff are extremely polite and professional. The bedroom was spacious and very comfortable. The selection of food at breakfast was excellent. We moved to this hotel after a very bad experience at another hotel in Paderborn. I wish to take this opportunity to thank the people at Booking.com for facilitating our move from another hotel so that we really enjoyed the last three days of a planned four day visit to Paderborn. Absolutely wonderful. Thank you.

Review 108:Windows aren't soundproof at all, every car at night sounds like a rocket. The bed stays in the way between the room and bathroom and is bordered with a sharp-angled wooden frame, which makes it traumatic for sleepy guests returning from the bathroom. It wasn't nice to find no shoe spoon in the room.

Review 109:The cuisine in the restaurant is excellent, my compliments to the chef.

Review 110:Nothing negative in this hotel.

Review 111:Excellent location near the city centre. Friendly atmosphere. Well-arranged hotel with practical facilities. Modern room with full comfort.

Review 112:Room was small and for the money i would expect at least more. welcome fruit Basket or breakfast would have made me feel more welcome. I ran a hotel myself till 2011.

Review 113:Location was very good.and the hotel is clean. The coffee machine very practical

Review 114:The pillows were too soft!! The bed was too soft!! The duvet was too warm!! and no drawers in our room number 229

Review 115:The food was excellent, The staff are excellent, The reception staff are excellent, and the hotel is dog friendly

Review 116:We liked everything!

Review 117:It is difficult to single any particular thing out as we had such a wonderful stay in the hotel. Paderborn is a great place to visit. Food excellent too. Car parking facility excellent.

Review 118:Having heard about this Hotel from friends we decided to give it a try and were not disappointed. Very well located in the centre of Paderborn and a short walk into the city centre and its multitude of shops. We both enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend it to friends and family, and will be using it again in the future.

Review 119:I thought the 9.00 EURO charge for parking was excessive. The room was also small.

Review 120:Staff were very friendly, spoke excellent English and were very helpful.

Review 121:Very clean and comfortable stay Only 1 problem we were on the top floor which 1didn't like I shouldv'e rang the hotel before but I didn't realise they had so many floors

Review 122:They wouldnt serve food later than about half 10-11 at night.

Review 123:It was very private and quiet. Having the swimming pool on the top floor was a nice touch. Lovely hotel and i loved the free hot chocolate in the lobby!

Review 124:The location was ideal to explore the shops and surrounding area.Thereception staff were very welcoming and cheerful, checking in was soeasy. Our bedroom was the most peaceful hotel bedroom I've ever sleptin. The breakfast was beautifully presented with an excellent choice andvery tasty.
