Reviews for Hotel Eisenkrug

Review 1:The staff was not that friendly and would leave you waiting for several minutes at the desk/reception before attending to you. I do not know if it due to their lack of speaking English, but they can certainly be more welcoming and friendly toward guests.

Review 2:The hotel is very nicely located in the center of the town. The town has so much character and history. Although we only stayed one evening, we really enjoyed it. We were 4 friends who shared a quadruple room. What I found nice, comparing to other hotels with similar rooms is that the double bed (in the master rooms) is separated from the other two beds. Giving everyone some privacy and not feeling crowded. The breakfast was also really nice.

Review 3:Unfortunately we were there during a heatwave...temperatures over 30 degs so the room was very hot. But that was the case in all the rooms we had stayed in during that week. There can be some traffic noise early in the morning if the windows are open.

Review 4:The room and bathroom were spacious, the wifi worked well, dinner and breakfast were good and the staff advised us go park in the free public parking lot through the gate just 200 meters down the road . That was not a problem. There is an elevator.

Review 5:First of all , we did not feel welcomed when we checked-in nor later during our stay. The room was a little bit old furnished. Ventilation sucks, felt like 30 degrees in the room, but it was only 25 outside. We tried to borrow a fan from the hotel, but they did not provide such service. So we have to stay outside until 10 pm. We tried to open windows when we slept. Unfortunately, the windows were directly facing an outdoor bar/restaurant, which was open until 1 AM. So we could not sleep at all! If anyone wants to have a nice sleep in this hotel during the summer, we seriously doubt it.

Review 6:The hotel is located in the center of a old lovely town The young man who served breakfast was kind:)

Review 7:We loved staying at this hotel. We were on the top floor and had plenty of room for our young family of four. We would recommend this to our friends and will always stay at this hotel when we are in town!

Review 8:About 20 young men got out of the bar around 12:30 in the morning. They were hanging around the town square right outside our second floor window yelling and carrying on. This lasted for and hour or so. Very noisy. Maybe this doesn't occur every night, but it did on this cold winter night. I suggest asking for a quiet room if that is even possible.

Review 9:We stayed at the Eisenkrug for one Friday night in late November. The location is right on the town square and convenient to everything within walking distance. The staff spoke English, street parking was available and free, WIFI was free and worked well. The included breakfast was very nice. The room was clean and comfortable.

Review 10:Bells from the church rang constantly through the night, earplugs are recommended. Also tea and coffee facilities would be nice

Review 11:Fantastic restaurant and very friendly staff. Room was very comfortable, but would have liked a kettle. Location is really excellent right in the centre of this lovely town.

Review 12:No negatives here. Very pleased with our stay.

Review 13:Loved location - on main tourist street with fabulous view out of our room window. Nice breakfast. Free parking right outside of hotel. Good value for 74 euro per room.

Review 14:Staff did not inform of the parking rules. I was told to park on the street but was not provided with the required parking pass nor was I told you must move before 10AM. Carpets in the hallways and staircase really need to be replaced. The are stained and have an odor. Rooms facing the street are noisy due to the nearby restaurant.

Review 15:Value price Large room Clean room and bathroom Location

Review 16:Local nearby churchbells chimed at 6am and woke me up. They were quite pleasing though and I got back to sleep, and my sister slept through them. The only other thing is that they tried to charge us the higher non-Booking.com price when we paid. Once checked, they were fine, but just in case, do double check if they’ve charged the right amount.

Review 17:Location right on the historic main square. The hotel had real character. The town 'nightwatchman' even started his tour of Dinkelsbuhl by singing on the hotel doorstep where we were having a drink. All very colourful.

Review 18:Local nearby churchbells chimed at 6am and woke me up. They were quite pleasing though and my sister slept through them. The only other minor thing is that they tried to charge us the higher non-Booking.com price when we paid. Once checked, they were fine, but if you do stay, do just double check if they’ve charged the right amount.
