Review 1：It seemed a bit quiet as if no one was around while the place was very big. The spa was closed

Review 2：The place was in good surroundings and very pretty. The staff were good and caring

Review 3：We were given a book with a bunch of discounts around the area. However, they didn't give us a hotel guest pass so we were not able to get any of the discounts. None of the staff spoke English very well but we kind of expected that with the location. We were also told it was a non-smoking room but there were cigarette burns in the furniture. Also had to pay for it with cash even though they had a sign showing they accepted visa and MasterCard.

Review 4：It was in a quiet area. The room was large and it had a nice bathroom. The breakfast was pretty good. Hard boiled eggs, bread, lunch meats, tomatoes and cucumbers. A couple yogurts too. Orange juice was available as well.

Review 8：The hotel is located in a nice silent village and the building is a really authentic old Fachwerkhaus.

Review 9：We were misguided by the Booking.com photo which indicated that the hotel was a resort hotel in the countryside. It is in a back alley of the town. We were the only residents for a week. The place looks ready to go into receivership. Facilities are broken down.

Review 11：We paid for a room for 3, but it was just a room for 2 with a roll away bed. Guess that still counts as 3 technically. At least some staff smoked. Had to pay tax for coupon book, but we made it up with discounts I suppose.

Review 12：Staff was quite helpful when available. Close to forest trails; short drive from Triberg. Coupon book for local attractions with check in was handy for Gutach rodelbahn & vogtsbauernhof (+ mini golf). Breakfast decent. Parking plentiful. Not too crowded.

Review 15：We booked 2 quad rooms for a total of 7 people - 3 adults - 3 teens and1 toddler. We got 2 rooms, each had 2 twin beds shoved together.Basically it was 1 king size bed in each room, needless to say we had 2sleeping on the floor. The main reason we booked this hotel was for the"indoor pool" it had advertised, bone dry. The kids weremiserable. The breakfast was terrible, bread and jam, and they ran outof bread. I went to the bakery and bought some and they told us wecouldn't eat them there. The manager told us she would make morebread, after waiting 15 min. For more bread we got lovely warm loavesfrozen solid in the center. The entire hotel was a mess, the staff wasrude, in what universe is this even a 3 star hotel?

Review 17：This hotel and its staff was terrific! The staff were warm and welcoming--they even made our accompanying family and us sandwiches when we arrived too late for lunch. Our rooms were all joined with balcony access. We sat on the balcony together enjoying family time and our glasses of wine. Our nieces played in the pool (which was an indoor, gorgeous facility) until they couldn't swim any more! Words can't describe how pleased we were with the Schwarzwald-Gasthof Hotel Linde. I'm only sorry we had to cut our visit short. And the hotel staff even made that an easy adjustment. We really can't wait to go back to this hotel.
