Reviews for Hotel Burgmeier
Review 1:Not a lot of restaurants within walking distance.
Review 2:Great location to the metro and fairly easy parking location. Beautiful neighborhood and friendly staff.
Review 3:The bed was quite comfortable, the breakfast more than expected and the family staff very kind and helpful. This hotel is a hidden treasure and anyone going to the Dachau Memorial and even to Munich, will find a wonderful little gem in this hotel. The area was quiet, the shower nice and warm and the proximity to downtown Dachau and the memorial site is excellent.
Review 4:Our room was a little cold and we didn't get the heaters to warm up our room to a comfortable level.
Review 5:The keys were ready the minute we entered the door to the reception. The receptionist was very friendly and accommodating all our short-notice needs we had a s a young family travelling with a baby for the first time.
Review 6:The closest train station (Dachau Stadt) has a somewhat limited schedule, so make sure you ask the host for the train schedule.
Review 7:An excellent host who is very personable. He provided sightseeing tips and recommendations for great restaurants. He provided a great breakfast with homemade jams, home cured meats and delicious breads. An overall delightful stay.
Review 8:Wifi kept failing and was weak when it worked. I had read reviews it was weak on the top floor and asked the check-in woman about this, but she assured me it was fine, so it was a bit frustrating to have it keep failing, often for over a half hour at a time, and slow when it did work. Believe the reviews about bad top floor wifi.
Review 9:Convenient location for seeing the horror of the Dachau concentration camp, nice staff.
Review 10:Some bathroom towels were over used.
Review 11:Very quite quality hotel. Very beautiful room, suitable for a family with small children. From the hotel to Munich is nice ride.
Review 12:Nice, quiet little hotel off the beaten path with a friendly staff and great breakfast. Only negative was the lack of frequency in regards to the train schedule. Overall, great experience!
Review 13:Very nice place to stay, quiet, clean modern rooms. Hotel in a residential area with little traffic but close (5 min walking) to local train stop. Main train stop a ten euro taxi ride. We stayed here during Octoberfest to escape high prices and night noise of Munich.
Review 14:Official breakfast-service only until 9 am - No restaurant
Review 15:I went to the breakfast room at 8.55 am and although breakfast was offered latest until 9 am, the stuff showed patience for the delay.
Review 16:Little difficult to find even though it's not really out of the way. Get directions from the hotel if you haven't got a map or sat nav.
Review 17:Very warm welcome, good breakfast, quiet.
Review 18:Not much choice of restaurant for evening meal locally.
Review 19:Quiet suburb, simple furnishing but comfortable. Home smoked meats and home made jams a pleasant surprise at breakfast. Pleasant walk to Dachau concentration camp. Great suggestion from staff to visit Karlsfeldee See for swim and food, very nice in hot summer weather.
Review 20:There was a neighborhood gathering that was a little loud. Wanted to have windows open and we could not.
Review 21:The hotel manager and facilities were excellent. The breakfast very nice!
Review 22:None except there is some train noise but not big issue and windows are high quality sound proofed with full black out metal shutters outside.
Review 23:Very clean and modern accommodation . Very pleasant young man looking after the place - reception and the next morning in the breakfast room and for checkout .
Review 24:Lack of tea/coffee making facilities in rooms. These days it really is expected in a hotel. No suggestion for dinner.
Review 25:The staff were lovely, could not fault them. Although next to the train line, a train was not heard unless all windows open. Lovely setting for a hotel.
Review 26:Extremely hot when we stayed and had to leave all the bedroom windows open all night, the hotel is quite close to railway lines and the sound of trains was a little noisy at times.
Review 27:Lovely hotel in suburb of Dachau but close to the centre.
Review 28:S-Bahn is noisy if you like your window open and have a room facing south. Smokers and talkers outside the windows in front of the hotel at night.
Review 29:The staff is so friendly and pleasant we hate to say anything bad about the hotel, and in fact we enjoyed our stay very much, despite a couple of negatives. The location is mostly good. The S-Bahn station (Dachau Stadt) is a five minute walk away. Trains run to and from central Munich once per hour. The Dachau main train station is further, maybe a 20-minute walk, and has three trains per hour. Dachau Altstadt is a 15-20 minute walk. The concentration camp memorial is under ten minutes away by car. Facilities are clean and comfortable. Free parking. Good breakfast.
Review 30:Radiator heater in room wasn't working. Not a big deal since it was warm with blankets. Also room had smoke smell but staff was very accommodating and we resolved the issue.
Review 31:Very friendly and accommodating staff. Clean room and tasty breakfast. Very clean bathroom. Offered bottle of wine on check in.
Review 32:Had to walk through a run down area to get to the historic part of town with restaurants
Review 33:Clean, comfortable and hospitality of the family running this business
Review 34:My wife, toddler and I stayed at the Hotel Burgmeier in January of 2015 for two nights. For both nights we paid just shy of 200(USD)for a cozy double-bed room. The staff was very friendly, the hotel was very clean, and the breakfast was a traditional German spread with very good coffee.
Review 35:No elevator to help with luggage. Room was nice but a bit small for the price. No coffee maker in room.
Review 36:Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was simple but tasty and filling. Nice shower. No problems with Internet connection. Slept well.
Review 37:Staff on front desk gave us wrong directions into the village-ended up walking for a mile in the rain in the wrong direction. Part time reception-hotel unfinished-no bar
Review 38:Very comfortable rooms
Review 39:Pillows Toilet to small Breakfast was good but I did not like that the owner handled/refilled food platters with her bare hands i.e. no gloves or other utensils
Review 40:The ease of reservation Simple check-in and check-out Attentiveness
Review 41:Hotel was ideally located a short drive to the rowing lake and a short walk to the town for eating out. Easy parking. Staff were very pleasant and did breakfast early on Saturday for us.

Review 75:Hard beds and pillows too soft .

Review 82:very beautiful family hotel with so nice staff! Great breakfast!
Review 83:Nice accommodation of a high standard. Easy to find with GPS and reasonable walk to town centre and railway station. Very convenient for visiting Munich by train. Owners were very pleasant and helpful.
Review 84:Location was very easy to find. Yet out of the way in a sweet little community. Enjoyed the side yard portion outside for an evening stroll! Everything was close by, city center, the memorial, wonderful restaurants. Daily breakfast was an unexpected treat! Will visit again as we are 2 history majors. Much research can be done here! Travel to Munich was easy also. Perfect little find!
Review 85:The room could definitely have been cleaner - room stank of cigarrette smoke, the carpet had long hairs visible on it. The shower had black mould on the sealant and the desk was dirty. No breakfast available until 8am on weekends which meant despite it being included in the price, we had to make other arrangements.
Review 86:Location and price
Review 87:The lack of lift / elevator and no air conditioning. Also, while well signed, it is a difficult location to find deep into a neighborhood of homes without a GPS.
Review 88:Upon our late arrival at 2230 to the family owned hotel, the staff accommodated our sign-in and even later free WiFi ID request. This is an 11 room facility with modern bathroom but no air-conditioning. We did not participate in the offered breakfast. The location is less than 10 minutes from the Dachau Concentration Camp Museum which is why we selected this hotel.
Review 89:There are trains coming by, and if you keep the windows shut it is okay. When we were there, it was very hot, but the room was cool. Pity that the bar is closed now. You have to walk approx. 7-10 min. to get to a restaurant or to the inner city.
Review 90:Very quiet neighborhood, nice old house with a big garden. Women that owned it was very nice.
Review 91:older, larger home, likely quite grand when it was a single family home, Immaculate, beautifully appointed, modern, large windows in our room, nice bathroom, owners very helpful and gracious, breakfasts in very nice dinning area and very good.
Review 92:1. A little bit far away from city center. 2. The train comes with an hour interval. Conclusion: Better to rent a car/bicycle to live in the hotel.
Review 93:1. Located around tree, which is very quite & green. 2. Close to Dachau stadt station. 3. The hostess is very friendly and nice to answer questions.
Review 94:Tony (son) and Irene (the hostess and owner) were so eager to please. The accommodations were so very nice and clean, breakfast delightful and Irene so wanting to be sure all is good. Would definitely recommend...only a few minutes from old schloss und Centrum and now CC memorial
