Reviews for Hezelhof Hotel
Review 1:The room was large, clean and modern.A historic building very well renovated. Modern furniture ,comfort bed.Nice view from the windows to the lovely town
Review 2:Wifi is poor. Rooms are in three buildings cross strees. But this will not stop me rate the hotel good!
Review 3:The staff is very nice and help. When we arrived, they only had two-twin-bed combined King room. After understanding we need a twin room, housekeeping made the room twin immediately. Great location in town center. Clean nice big room.
Review 4:Church bells at 6.00am every day (though I was warned in advance). Parking was off-site.
Review 5:All staff I encountered were excellent, location was great and restaurant was very nice.
Review 6:The guest tablet/printer in the lobby didn't seem to work well when we needed to print our airline boarding pass. Fortunately the receptionist worked out how to print from his front desk computer.
Review 7:Very modern interior design i the lobby, the courtyard and the rooms, very comfortable bed and furniture. Excellent staff.
Review 8:Confusion with the restaurant by the same name opposite and the unfriendly reception when we went here first in error to check in. Bedroom a bit too Spartan for our taste. Lack of privacy as curtains didn't cover Windows. No where comfortable for two people to sit
Review 9:Location in centre of town Comfortable bed Friendly reception staff
Review 10:The hotel decor is very contemporary which is the opposite of the medieval town air which I had expected.
Review 11:The staff was very helpful and the location of the hotel was wonderful. Our accommodations were very clean and very spacious. We really enjoyed and took advantage of the outside setting area by bringing our own wine, cheese and bread as before dinner appetizers. The evenings were cool and the staff brought us blankets while we were outside, which let us enjoy ourselves even more!
Review 12:The bedrooms could do with some darker curtains especially when travelling with children in summer....they woke up far too early!
Review 13:The suite we stayed in was wonderful with all new facilities and a huge bathroom.
Review 14:We loved this beautiful hotel -- historic and lovely on the outside, modern, comfortable and eclectic on the inside. In the center of town, friendly staff, and the most comfortable beds in Germany!
Review 15:Nothing could be better.
Review 16:Spacious, beautifully remodeled room. Nice bath products, shelf in shower. Location was perfect. Breakfast was good. Comfortable bed with extra pillows. Huge living room area.
Review 17:Location and the beautiful hotel rooms. As well as the staff. Secretly I don't want to write a review, because I think this hotel should be a secret beauty.
Review 18:There were no bottle opener in the kitchenette
Review 19:Beautiful atmosphere in the heart of the medieval old town, modern, large and comfortable room, delicious breakfast and friendly staff. We especially loved the modern and clean bathroom and the view from our room on 1st floor (you can see the parade of Kinderzeche festival).
Review 20:It was no ones' fault, but there is a language barrier if speaking English. We should have been better prepared with at least some basic translations for check in and check out.
Review 21:Loved the location and the view from our balcony was spectacular!
Review 22:Notice from restaurant below. Ask to got to hotel (the same) across street with no street view. On Sunday bell runs from 7am. All day!
Review 23:We had the top room. Very spacious and unusual with the bath on 2nd floor Bed was extremely comfortable and a true King size - not 2 beds joined Staff were very helpful
Review 24:A bit too minimalistic design of the appartment. I could not log in to the wifi, too complicated system with exta registration needed.
Review 25:Location and size of the appartment. Great breakfast.
Review 26:Spacious hotel room suite with smart bathroom set up. The property is well-cared for and architecturally beautiful. Staff were very helpful in getting us to the parking lot. Thank you! The restaurant affiliated with the property served a delicious breakfast buffet. We couldn't have asked for a more central location - perfect for walking everywhere in town.
Review 27:- Entire facility is pass code enabled, making it hard to get from area to area
Review 28:- Room was large, clean, and comfortable furniture - Breakfast was great - WIFI was strong
Review 29:WiFi is expired just 20 minutes. It is not convenient.
Review 30:The location is central of histrical area. We also enjoyed morning market at a place beside church.
Review 31:Finding a parking place was not so easy, sleaping interrupted by the bell at 6 o'clock and breakfast was not satisfactory.
Review 32:Nice and helpful staff. Beautiful little city and nice, clean room.
Review 33:If you are very tall or have bad knees maybe don't take the suit -- stairs are narrow and steep and ceilings low. I loved it though. Also wifi access was good but difficult to set up for Apple IOS mobile devices from USA
Review 34:Stayed in 42 the top floor suit with the second story tub and infrared room. Very creative and fun design. Great addition of the modern eclectic in old Dinkelsbuhl
Review 35:Can't think of a single thing.
Review 36:Stayed for a night as I made my way southern Germany. Hotel is very, very good and well worth the stay. Outside is fairly simple and chances are you'll walk right past it! Inside lobby is very modern and I was booked in a room adjacent (towards the back) of the hotel. Room for a single stay was extremely nice, with a separate sitting area with sink and small fridge. Room was very modern and bed was big and comfy. Location was perfect.
Review 37:Church Bells at 6AM in the morning - Nothing the hotel can do about that
Review 38:Staff were wonderful. Room was spacious and modern. Restaurant was very nice. The location was stunning
Review 39:Wooden floors and minimalistic approach to furnishing felt a little spartan, but that's just personal taste - our room was modern, spacious, clean and well maintained
Review 40:Excellent location in the centre of the old town within a stone's throw of the late Gothic St George's church and handy for all the town's shops and restaurants. Has a limited number of chargeable parking spaces within a two minute walk of the hotel (parking is at a premium in the old town so pre-booking recommended). Buffet breakfast in the hotel's own restaurant directly across the street.
Review 41:better to have a car Better to be with group, solo may be little lonely...
Review 42:You will feel the spirit of the old town of Dinkelsbühl and the romantic road any where you drive around. Can not wait to visit again. Nice breakfast and great settings
Review 43:Car parking is available by reservation at Euro 7.50 per night. However, even though we had reserved a space it was not available for 2 of our 3nights..it seems that anyone can park in the so-called reserved spaces. We were only charged for the 1 night parking; but just be aware that itis a lengthy walk to one of the Public car parking areas outside of thecity walls.
Review 44:Traveling 2 couples, we stayed in the newer "Luis" part of theHezelhof across the road from the Hotel reception and above therestaurant. The rooms were very spacious, modern, comfortable and quiet.Access was either by stairs or by a lift; it is easier/quicker touse the stairs except when bringing your luggage in and out. Breakfastwas excellent both in choice and quality.
Review 45:Brilliant location, friendly staff, very modern facilities, large room, lift a bonus. Breakfast at "Luis" was excellent. A lovely town and outstanding value accommodation.
Review 46:Lobby is below street level so we had to carry bags up and down some short flights of stairs--hotel staff did offer to help but we had two strong young adult kids to help out, so no problem for us. Internet log-in was a bit complicated but we finally got it to work.
Review 47:Lots of space Clean and modern Comfortable bed Quiet room Great breakfast Convenient location
Review 48:Loved the hotel, clean tidy and as centrally located as you could possibly be. Friendly staff, good breakfast and excellent parking.
Review 49:nothing!

Review 64:... of old building with modern design inside !!
Review 65:Lack of lighting, uncomfortable sparse furnishings
Review 66:Location, spaciousness
Review 67:That I was in the dependance section
Review 68:Style of the old building
Review 69:Excellent location, spacious rooms, good parking, excellent service, the restaurant one of a kind. We were ver happy
Review 70:Nothing about the hotel, but the bells rang for a long time at 6am
Review 71:Big room, bathroom was big with a good sized bath to relax in after a hard day walking around. Staff were very helpful and pleasant to deal with
Review 72:Not a thing. I would highly recommend the Hezelhof!
Review 73:Great location, friendly staff, very clean and modern amenities. Breakfast is just across the street at the Hezelhof's restaurant, and was excellent each morning.
Review 74:Room was on the 3rd floor. Just know there is no lift.
Review 75:Location was very central & close to attractions. Room was excellent, more than we needed.
Review 76:There are no rooms with two beds. Their beds are small by American standards for two people. The rooms are large but very little furniture. They seem sterile and cold.
Review 77:Staff was very nice. Bathrooms very clean and modern. Breakfast was delicious.
Review 78:No buts!
Review 79:Very modern, nice and perfect central situated hotel! Good breakfast! The room was big and equipped with high standard materials. We would go there again!
Review 80:What we did not realise when booking this hotel is that the whole building is basically on the tourist list of places to visit due to its preservation, style and sheer loveliness. It is all German heritage colours, timber verandas, carved hearts and vines etc.outside but we were in the Patrizia building and it is real German minimalist inside. Huge space, kitchenette, separate bedroom and odd angles and curves. It was great! Gorgeous bathroom, clean as can be and really comfortable bed. We overlooked the main street which was not busy and the double glazing worked well anyway. We actually slept with the windows open and only the diagonally opposite church bells were noticeable and they are rather nice. This is a really well run hotel with lovely staff who are helpful and gracious. In all it is a stylish and wonderfully placed hotel that also had parking which in an old town environment is really unusual. We would return in a shot and Dinklesbuhl is just stunning!! Thanks to staff for a memorable stay. Phil and Kate.
Review 81:The sliding door to the bathroom do not tight closely, so other person in a room can hear everything.
Review 82:Great hotel in beatiful small historic small town. The hotel is located in historic building which is beatifully and sensitively renovated. We had apartment with small kitchinette and view on main market. The breakfast is served in a nearby restaurant and is excellent. We even had good coffee!
Review 83:Check in one side of road - rooms on other. Access via busy restaurant.
Review 84:Large very comfortable room with superb bathroom. Hotel right in centre of town but quiet.
Review 85:Parking in town is hard. They have underground parking in anotherbuilding but it is a few blocks away.
Review 86:Right in the middle of town, staff were friendly and the apartment wasquite big!
Review 87:Night watchman tour of the old town was only done in German but not the hotels fault
Review 88:This hotel is in the centre of the old town and within short walks of everything. Ver large room with easy access and very reasonably priced...easy access to room. Great breakfast and friendly staff
Review 89:A little bit more choice at the breakfast table.
Review 90:What a great hotel, beautiful. Large rooms (apartment), location is incredible.I will come back just for the romantic location.
Review 91:Electric cooker was not working in our room but we were offered the opportunity to use that in another room
Review 92:Excellent location in a recently renovated historical building.
Review 93:Our room at the front was a little loud at night (traffic on cobbles), but the room at the back was quiet.
Review 94:Great combination of modern interior with olde-worlde exterior. Location ideal for visiting the town, restaurants, etc. and for exploring the surrounding areas. Breakfast in the café (part of hotel) across road was varied and excellent
Review 95:Not a dislike, but people should be aware of having to walk up steps....which we did not mind doing.
Review 96:Everything. Rooms were modern and spotless, in a medieval town. We even had a living room, which we didn't need.
Review 97:Bar was not open there was no air conditioner Nest to the hotel, there was a group of people who made noice deep in the night until 2 a clock but this is unavoidable by Hezelhof as it is not on their premisses
Review 98:Quality of the food Suites accommodation and comfort
Review 99:Room lacked a place to "drop one's things" like keys etc. No flat surface other than small desk top. Only 1 chair for sitting which was very low and very scratchy - no good in hot weather. Room was very hot. Never cooled off. No a/c. Noise from the street (people in restaurant below and cars) kept us up.
Review 100:Modern hip design and clean.
Review 101:Staff at check in started helping me then when someone they knew who spoke German came in gave them a key and chatted for a minute before continuing to check me in. Not impressed. Restaurant - the wiener schnitzel was awful - had better when in other location in Germany. Also the waiter was not friendly with us AT ALL. But friendly with the younger German speaking people?
Review 102:Lovely hotel in a lovely location. Some staff friendly - but read what I didn't like for comments on Rude Staff.
Review 103:No complaints
Review 104:Clean modern room. The hotel also had a very good security system. The location was unbeatable and the staff was very attentive. We stayed in room 105 and the view was excellent of the church and the town. The included breakfast was also very good.
Review 105:Lovely, airy loft room - it felt like a private apartment. Lovely staffand no problems generally. The town is pretty and enjoyable, althoughwithout the dramatic surroundings of Rothenburg or the Berchtesgaden...
Review 106:This was a wonderful hotel in a charming town.
Review 107:very friendly staff, in a great location. Very modern inside despite the quaint old world outside facade.
Review 108:Loved the location.
Review 109:Nothing!
Review 110:We loved it! A wonderful experience and perfect location. All around a perfect stay!
Review 111:Staff were rather severe.
Review 112:A good clean B&B, but not a hotel.
Review 113:Very nice and clean place, right in the middle of the city. Very old building that has been nicely remodelled. Shower and bathroom were excellentt.
Review 114:Awesome interior and location
Review 115:Breakfast foods were all cold. No hot breakfast.
Review 116:Great location, easy walk to town center and restaurants. Great room and location. Love it!
Review 117:Very spacious and tastefully decorated room. High quality and very friendly staff. Highly recommended
Review 118:Noise - the room was above attached cafe and had a very loud and late (2:30am) celebration
Review 119:Location - central Large room
Review 120:Missing airconditioning in the room.
Review 121:The beautiful room number 202.
Review 122:A little expansive, breakfast could improve
Review 123:Nice little town with hotel in the center, free wi fi, nice building, very clean
Review 124:We loved our apartment, the location, the lobby, the staff and the quiet. It was all great. I wish we had more time here.
