Review 1：This hotel was absolutely amazing! Staff was so knowledgeable andwelcoming. Train station is a 5 minute walk, if that. 1 hr train ridedirectly to Munich hbf or go the opposite direction and head to Garmisch(5-10 minute train ride). I had my in-laws visit us in Germany and theyabsolutely loved the hotel as well. Plenty of hiking trails around. Wewill definitely be staying here again!!!

Review 15：We arrived hotel at around 9:30 pm and the receptionist was very nice and had a brief introduction of the hotel environment and facilities. Our room was very nice and the room was even more better than the photos. The toilet was very clean and tidy and seems it is newly renovated. The room was large (3 people) and we lived in room no. 7. I will book this hotel again if I visit the Castle nearby. Overall the hotel was clean, tidy, comfortable and the staffs were friendly and helpful. However, the wifi signal was not good and we couldn't access to internet

Review 17：We loved our stay! We were warmly welcomed and treated with hospitality throughout our entire stay. Everything about this hotel was perfect. The hotel was decorated with beautiful and tasteful furnishings. The afternoon coffee and cake time was enjoyable in the hotel's relaxing, garden area. One of the highlights of the plentiful, breakfast buffet was lovely, homemade, strawberry yogurt. Our daughter was in heaven with her pretty, curtained, bed nook in one of the bedrooms we used. We could walk out the door and make our way in just minutes to the Kuhfluchtwasserfälle. We were also able to easily visit the Eibsee and Garmisch from Farchant, by car. Review 20：Not much attractiveness in Farchant, although close to many sites by car. Room and bathroom were a bit cramped. No fan was available in heat wave -- and no place to buy one in town.

Review 23：Everything. It's no surprise so many other travels have raved about their stays at the Hotel Föhrenhof. We completely enjoyed our stay there as well. Besides the essentials like comfort, quiet, clean, there are many extra touches. Our room was well appointed. The luxurious bathroom is bigger than most hotel rooms, and features a Villeroy and Boch sink, to name a few other high end features. Don't miss the sumptuous breakfast and the afternoon tea which you get to choose among a dozen to die for cakes and snacks. The staff at the hotel are the nicest people, make us feel so welcome and they go out of their ways to be helpful. We also like the location of the hotel in Farshant. It's a quiet small town, minutes away from Garmish, but has it's own restaurants, market, and bakeries.

Review 25：My family has been to the area many times and this is by far my favorite place we have stayed. The location was perfect and the staff went above and beyond. When we checked in we were invited to an afternoon snack. We didn't make it as we were out and about. Upon arriving that evening the lady at the front desk said she missed us and they saved some cake for us. The chef then came out and visited with us and told us about his cakes. Our room was so cozy and perfect. The morning breakfast was great as well and we were once again greeted with friendly staff ready to serve.

Review 39：The staff (husband and wife team) are super friendly and very accommodating. They have a 3pm-6pm dessert and coffee time that is seemingly mandatory as there were looks of shock when we didn't partake on the first afternoon :-). On the morning that we left they prepared breakfast for us (we left at 0530). The rooms were very neat and the beds perfect. Only a 15 minute drive (max) to get to the Garmisch ski slopes. A very well run operation!

Review 44：I stayed two nights in January 2015 and staying here made every part of my time in Bavaria better. The hosts, especially Michael, who was always in a chef's coat and I am sure is the reason I've gained 5 pounds during my visit, were kind, fastidious, attentive, and generous.The location is quiet and easy to get to, but also well placed to visit neighboring Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Zugspitze. There is a Philosophers' walking trail that goes from beside the hotel to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, and it is a lovely hour walk through the trees and mountains. There are several other good walking trails, and even a tiny ski slope nearby, though Farchant certainly has the small, local town feel.The room I stayed in was clean, spacious, had a great view of the well maintained courtyard, and was extremely cozy. I especially liked the shower, the wood floors, the local decor, and the general spaciousness of the room and bath. The food was probably the best part though: it was exceptional, much better than even many of the restaurants I visited on this trip through Bavaria and Venice.If you haven't tried Bavarian cheesecake, it's worth staying here for Michael's version, free in the afternoons, just by itself.Frankly, you are not likely to be disappointed anytime you are eating here. I never missed a cake hour, and it happily ruined my need for dinner at least once.All in all, after staying in over 20 hotels this year from Ishigaki (Japan), Paris, Fort William, (Scotland), to Venice, I admit this is up there with the best. I kind of don't want to share how awesome this place is because I want to go back and have it all to myself, along with another several cake hours, but no: Hotel Föhrenhof and it's hosts deserve the best of luck and success. Thank you guys!FYI: A free bus pass is available to those who stay in Farchant for the green buses that go to Garmisch-Partenkirchen every 30 minutes.
Review 45：Excellence location10 minutes drive from Garmish. Spacious, confortable, and clean rooms with great mountain views. Breakfast was plenty with a good variety of food to choose from and the service was great . Afternoon tea and cake was offered daily free of charge and everything was delicious and freshly made. Everyone was helpful and very friendly. Michael and Michaela thank you for making my family visits from Panama unforgatable. Without a doubth I will return to this hotel and feel very confident recomending it to my friends.

Review 65：Lovely stay in this wonderful little hotel! The staff were so friendly and helpful and we all thoroughly enjoyed the delicious Kaffe and Kuchen every day. We had the family room and it was perfect for us and our three daughters. Everything was spotless and the stylish bathroom looked as it had just been newly done this year. We did lots of sightseeing in the area by car but also spent a great day at the Farchant lido which was just around the corner. Some evenings, instead of driving to Garmisch, we just ate at the Vesuvius pizzeria opposite which was also delicious! I would highly recommend the Hotel Foehrenhof.

Quiet location, in the evening you hear only in the background the nearby river flowing (when opening windows). Staff has been helpful at our requests. The landlord offers free cakes and coffee in the afternoon and this is a definite plus. Farchant is very quiet with occasional cows passing by! (in the summer). A few restaurants within walking distance Excellent if willing to disconnect, yet Garmish is very close by train every hour until late (4 min travel time and 1.5 euros!)/ bus (free if you stay in hotel but it takes maybe 15-20 min) if you do not have a car and there you'll find there a more bustling environment as well as plenty of mountain activities. Definitively recommended.

The breakfast buffet was wonderful and fresh. This is one of thebest places we stayed in our European travels. The location is minutesfrom Garmisch, but is much more quiet and peaceful with gorgeous viewsof the Zugspitze. The hotel has a good restaurant and many goodrestaurants in Farchant are within a short walk. Excellent parking atthe hotel, too.
