Reviews for Berghotel Sutten
Review 1:We are very familiar with the Tegernsee area and this is a super location. It is off the beaten path of the towns around Tegernsee and at the time of our visit was very quiet. The restaurant has a wonderful, comfortable atmosphere, with a lot of attention to detail. The room had everything we needed, and had obviously been recently renovated. We would go back without hesitation.
Review 2:The comfort of the bed was substandard
Review 3:Everything , the friendly staff, the location within the forest and mountains of Bavaria and the closeness of Tegernsee and Munich
Review 4:Wonderful location in the mountains surrounded by beautiful scenery. Evening meal was delicious. We asked for adjoining rooms and were given two rooms joined by a private corridor. We didn't want to leave!
Review 5:There was absolutely nothing to dislike about berghotel.
Review 6:Rene and Andre were the best hosts ever. They went over and above expectation to make our stay special. From cooking off the menu dishes to staying late to comply with our needs, they did it all
Review 7:We loved the owners Andre and Rene. The obliged us with any request we had and took extreme good care of ua. We enjoyed every moment by the might mountains from our cozy rooms. The foos was just amazing
Review 8:Location- away from the "Madding crowd". everyone here had made the effort to find the place, The area offers much to the traveller., not just the resort of Tegnersee. The hotel does not have a pool, but remains quiet because of that .The warm=bad in nearby Kreuth means you can have a "dip" before coming back to your room each day. The staff were efficient, personable & with great ethics for the outdoor world..
Review 9:I didn't read "cash only" on my booking and had to drive down to the village and back (30 minutes round trip) to get money to pay. It was my fault, not the staff's fault.
Review 10:The restaurant on site has wonderful food. The staff were excellent and responded to every need. It is about a 15 minute drive up a beautiful canyon from Rodach-Egern and is at a small ski resort. We took the ski lift (15 yards away from the hotel) up to the mountain peak and hiked down. It was a beautiful, quiet, restful place. It is beautifully furnished in Bavarian style.
Review 11:That we had to leave that awesome place
Review 12:The food was amazing, the host was incredibly helpful and nice, the location was spectacular, we absolutely lived it, we will go back there for sure
Review 13:Quiet location, very friendly and welcoming staff, nice large room
Review 14:Very old fashioned menu; children monopolizing the restaurant
Review 15:Marvelous fresh air
Review 16:Only cash or EC card payment.
Review 17:Quiet and relaxing location. Easy access to mountains. Very friendly staff.
Review 18:Beautiful setting in the mountains. Excellant choice of evening meals as an addition. Friendly staff who spoke English well.
Review 19:None
Review 20:Great breakfast and dinner, hiking, biking and skiën just around the corner and friedly staff.
Review 21:We loved the place. The owners made us feel right at home. The location is quiet and the setting beautiful. The room was simple, but clean and comfortable The food is absolutely wonderful. (The chef is co-owner.) We loved the atmosphere on the sun deck and in the restaurant. There are miles and miles of hiking trails and the scenery is spectacular. The Berghof Sutten is located in the mountains above Tegernsee. It is about a ten or fifteen minute drive to the lake. There is bus service from the lake to the hotel, but it is probably easier if you have a car. There is a two euro toll to use the road up the mountain, but the toll collectors are pretty laid back and don't seem to be there all the time. It is good to have navigation to find the place the first time, but not necessary. Most the locals speak English (if you don't speak any German) and they can show you the way. If you want to enjoy the Tegernsee area, but be away from the crowds at the lake, this might be the place for you. We plan on returning next year and staying longer.
Review 22:Have to factor in if you don't have a car, the taxi up to the hotel costs about 16 euros. Breakfast offered is a continental breakfast which is not value for money.
Review 23:Room was spacious and clean. Evening meal was reasonable
Review 24:The hotel is actually alongside a ski-lift and is about 8 kms from the town of Rottach-Ergen, which is a busstling up-market sort of town.
