Review 1：The one bed apartments had everything one needed, even a small fully equipped kitchen. There was a small Christmas tree and a plate with Christmassy treats (we stayed from the 27th to 29th of December). Breakfast was extremely good value and excellent quality.

Review 4：Only bread for breakfast. We would have wished for cereals for the kids. No AC in the room and a very hot week forced us to open the windows to the crowded street outside. Churchbells started ringing at 6am and kept on once every 15minutes.

Review 6：Well, it's a bit of a drive off A7 autobahn. We were seeking something a little different, everything that caught our eye was fully booked, it was a Saturday, so we settled on this, as it turns out, very glad we did. First issue was we approached from the front, seeing the Steakhouse, we noticed a alley like on the left of the Guesthas seeing a car parked, narrow but we assumed that was the way to get tot he parking area. We were used to narrow streets from our recent drive across France. Turned out, that was not the driveway, the drive way was located on another street. We were beckoned on by a longish hair guy in a motorcycle attire. We parked, he calls to someone up on the third floor, she tosses down a set of keys. He never asked our names, showed us an upgraded apartment, asked about breakfast time, we were checked in! Nice comfortable apartment. Now fast forward to dinner. Thinking we'd likely be the only customers, we waited past the 1800 restaurant evening opening hour until 1830. To our amazement, a lot of people were already there drinking and eating. A gal asked us in German, did we have a reservation? Nein. Then to our left, the grill was located visable to the customers, not dressed in a motorcycle outfit but a cooking outfit was the person who directed us to parking and to our room. He sees us, tells us we could have the table next to the grill, but we must vacate in one and half hours. Can Do! We enjoyed the nicest meal to date in Germany, enjoyed a bottle of wine, all at reasonable prices. While seated at the table, we took note to many people turned away not having reservations. This place not only excellent, but popular. What a pleasant evening and surprising! Next morning, breakfast was very nice, we were offered scrambled eggs, everththing plentiful, and tasty. The owner was very friendly, the experience could not have been nicer for our next to last night in Germany.

Review 8：We booked a stay at this hotel based on site reviews, and it more thanlived up to them. Clausthal Zellerfeld is a great little town with awonderful market and good restaurants. A minor problem with out newMercedes meant that we had to stay a day longer than originally plannedbut hotel owner Uwe couldn't have been more helpful, even thoughthis meant some juggling of rooms. He even went to the mb dealer with usin case of any problems, though we managed ok on our own. A lovelylittle hotel with lots to recommend it, and run by a lovely couple. Ifthat region of Germany ever held a competition for the friendliest andmost helpful hotelier, Uwe would get our vote every time, I hopewe'll be able to return some time.
Review 9：The WIFI wouldn't connect and there was no one availalble to help for hours. When I did find help, they didn't get it working. It was the single worst day of a 32 day trip to not have WIFI as we had to check-in for our flight.I would have given this a great rating were it not for the lack of WIFI and help when I needed it.

Review 13：Internet signal was poor, in our apartment, could only connect standing by the Apartment door or in the corridor outside. Also there was no fridge for what is advertised as a fully functional kitchen so may be wary if staying for more than 2 days and expecting to be Self Catering.

Review 28：This guest house has a really really good steak restaurant. I can not outline enough how good it was. If you happen to be in the area, try it. The apartment we were provided with was large with two rooms, two TVs, a kitchen etc. It was fantastic value for money. Friendly staff and large private parking as well.
Review 29：- For the first time in my years of travelling experience I was asked when I would make the check-out before 10 AM by the owner of the house (not to mention the regular check-out time of 11 is very early) ! It was rude. I felt bad like as if I stay there without paying and I am not welcome. I could understand it if the check-out time was passed but it was not the case. - Guests are discriminated. During the breakfast while some guests are asked if they have any request and if everything is OK some other guests are ignored as if they don't exist. -It was trouble to find the hotel entrance. In the same building there are restaurant and hotel(more like pension). Main entrance of the building on the main street is apparently only for the restaurant and it was locked around 16 since the restaurant wasn't open at that time. There wasn't any sign indicating the entrance of the hotel. I called the hotel's telephone number it didn't answer. I had to call Booking.com's customer support in UK, they contacted the owner and only then I managed to get in. I discovered that the hotel entrance is in the backyard. nearby the parking lot. - Overall experience was bad, I dont recommend this hotel.

Review 32：I've stayed at this wonderful place with my 89 year old mother for 5 days and even though the weather was lousy we had a very pleasant time. The room are above the restaurant and the apartments are in a neighbouring building. There were no noises or smells from the restaurant below as one would expect. The rooms were of good taste, modern, good quality furnishings and very clean. The hosts I found to be very friendly, helpful and accommodating. In the restaurant, which was fully booked almost every night, the food was exceptional. Do yourself a favour and book the first night on arrival or you might not get a table. Although I'm a vegetarian I found plenty of nice dishes for me in this otherwise famous steakhouse. I highly recommend this hotel.
