Reviews for Bavaria Safari Hotel
Review 1:Hunting is a Bavarian tradition. Hunting safari animals just an extension of that and we had no problem with them. Daughter did let out scream when climbing stairs and she saw hyena. :-)
Review 2:The manager is very welcoming and speaks excellent English. She was helpful and accommodating. Five minute walk to Concentration Camp.
Review 3:The rooms were large and comfortable. The design of the hotel is basic as are the rooms. The African wildlife decorating the hotel make it unique. The staff were very friendly and spoke English well. The breakfast was delicious and the staff very attentive.
Review 4:Very few tv channels and when you find one, the tv screen would go black and say "no signal" once in a while while you're watching. Other than that, nothing to complain about.
Review 5:Proximity to the camp. Very friendly staff. Internet was fast. The theme is different and interesting but the owners/staff were consistent down to the chair covers and light fixtures.
Review 6:The internet was a bit dodgey if im being picky.
Review 7:The location was spot on for a visit to Dachau Concentration camp, literally walking distance away. The hotel was fun with stuffed animals everywhere and a nice eaterie next door.
Review 8:The showers were abit poor. A kettle and some cups, to make a hot drink would have been nice but that may be just an English culture
Review 9:The quirkiness of the hotel and the friendly and informative staff. Good for a family of four as we had 2 interconnecting rooms. Nice breakfast. Very handy for visiting the concentration camp.
Review 10:It's in an industrial type neighborhood, it was a tad noisy at night so we had to keep the windows closed which made it warm (no air). Kids should get to eat free.
Review 11:Staff friendly Clean 2 room option for families Good variety for breakfast
Review 12:nothing really
Review 13:comfortable room
Review 14:Excellent Staff very helpful and friendly Would stay again
Review 15:Location. Comfortable beds. Good breakfast.
Review 16:Limited parking - again, park it and walk.
Review 17:Good breakfast. Helpful staff. Elevator.
Review 18:Didn't realize the property was located on an industrial area. It seemed very out of place for it's surroundings. The bar/casino across the road was loud but not too bad if you closed your windows. Could have been a little cleaner. the holder for the shower head was broken so you had to hold the shower head to use it.
Review 19:The location was within walking distance of the Dauchau Memorial Site. The hotel had an elevator which was nice. The staff we encountered were very nice and helpful.
Review 20:Excellent service at the reception. This is the place to stay if you are going to the Dachau Concentration Memorial Camp. Plenty of space, breakfast was very good.
Review 21:Convenient location! Parking in front of the hotel so we could walk to the concentration camp which is only 8 minutes. Great food! Along the way to the camp we had lunch at Mr. Tran's Asian food, then dinner at a Italian restaurant next to the hotel. The breakfast was delicious! Professional and cheerful staff! They were very accommodating when the wifi in our rooms did not work, so allowed us to move to another room where we could pick up internet. I highly recommend this hotel for your Dachau visit!
Review 22:Located in an industrial area this would normally not be a choice for astay in this city. However, we were there for one reason - to visitDachau Concentration Camp which is a leisurely 5 minute walk away. Whatthis hot lacks in looks, it makes up in location and a very friendlyowner and staff. Inside it is incongruously decorated on an Africantheme with dozens of stuffed animals in the foyer - hence thehotel's name.
Review 23:Parking on site was limited, but we could park in the BMV dealership lot next door overnight.
Review 24:The staff were very helpful in giving us the coolest room available on a hot day, and in answering our questions about the area. The breakfast was very good, and the staff there eager to serve coffee, etc. The animal theme was perhaps a bit incongruous for the location, but they carried it off with a sense of fun, right down to the fishy toilet cover. The location was very convenient for visiting the concentration camp memorial, and the train station was only a short drive away so we could take the train to Munich for the evening.
Review 25:We went to Dachau to visit the concentration camp. This hotel is well-located for that but it is not close to the town centre. It is value for money, and not over-expensive.
Review 26:30+ minute walk to old town, station etc - easy drive
Review 27:interesting hotel (wild animal theme) in Industrial area. 5 minute walk from the Dachau Memorial. Basic but comfortable room with good breakfast. Free parking we used this hotel as overnight stay to visit the Memorial
Review 28:Some may be put off by all the lobby taxidermy, but we were fine with it - and there's none in the rooms.
Review 29:Proximity to Dachau - after a long visit there, we just wanted something close & reasonably priced, since we were just needing an overnight without any big frills. Breakfast was good, rooms very bright.
Review 30:Not near enough to Munich City Centre. In the middle of an industyrial estate. No Hotel bar or adequate size recection area.
Review 31:Hotel was average - staff helpful - breakfaxt buffet good for price.
Review 32:WiFi not working at the time of visit. Parking could be a problem if the hotel was busy.
Review 33:Good basic business hotel, on an industrial estate, within walking distance of the Dachau Memorial site. Friendly staff and good quality breakfast. Next door to a reasonably priced pasta/pizzeria restaurant. Decor interesting.
Review 34:Our objective was to stay near the Dachau Concentration Camp, and to notoverspend for basic accommodations and a good German breakfast. This wasclearly received and this hotel is a good value for the price.
Review 35:It was a bit surreal with all the safari related animals etc.
Review 36:The family room was a good size with comfortable beds and 2 separate rooms. As a late night, overnight stop enroute from Milan to Leipzig it was ok.
Review 37:The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean andtidy. It's the cleanest 3 star hotel we have stayed at in a long time. The breakfast was delicious and very worth it! We would definitely staythere again when visiting Dachau.
