Review 1：Service: Checkin very late 16.00 and not flexible. Breakfast is good but opens too late 08;00. No language skills at reception and the reception is often not staffed or closed. Staff was not very helpful, no info about activities in the neighbourhood. Room: Family suite is not for small children. Dangerous stairs in living room. No children beds, chairs prepared. No warm water boiler in the room. Tv is outdated.Carpet is not clean. All single beds. No double bed.
Review 2：The area is great. Breakfast is good but opens too late.
Review 3：The location of Platte Venn 8, which was 45 minutes walk from the hotel, the fact the hotel told us breakfast was at 09.30 and when we arrived other people has eaten and were eating. Being told we couldn't have breakfast till 10.00 on the last morning which meant we went without as we had to leave for the ferry at 08.00. The fact that no-one spoke English on even though the hotel says it does.

Review 6：We stayed in the holiday apartment in the middle of the fields (own vehicle needed), 5 minutes driving from the main hotel, which is another 5 minutes driving from the center of Monschau. Very spacious, new building. All members of the staff were great! Breakfast was also very satisfying and well worth the 7 euros/person. At the hotel we could also play a kind of bowling (kegeln) for 9 euros /hour for the whole group, nice!
Review 7：There was no wifi in the apartment. This was mentioned but didn't seem to be true for the platte Venn apartment. Location was pretty isolated (very rural). Might sound like a petty complaint, but there were no dishwasher tablets provided (should be an easy service to provide us with a few tablets so we could run the dishwasher). Also wasn't clear where we had to bring back the key. Turned out to be a different building than the main entrance and took us a while to figure that out.

Review 9：The house is about 5-10 minutes drive from the actual hotel, and is really in 'the middle of nowhere', but this is not an issue.
