Reviews for Hotel Concorde

Review 1:A few to many stairs to the rooms, especially when dragging heavy luggage bags :(

Review 2:Excellent breakfast room & options to eat. Rooms very well presented with towels that show they care :)

Review 3:Once we had a room on zero floor and there was a tricky to get us to the room with case and baby buggy. But staff was very kind to help us.

Review 4:Fast check-in, parking in the hotel, good location, good breakfast, friendly staff.

Review 5:No complaints! A great hotel!!!

Review 6:Hotel Concorde is in ideal location in the Altstadt. The room was clean, comfy & had a lovely view. Christof, the manager, was invaluable to us, as well as very welcoming & professional! Christof arranged our airport shuttle, gave us local info, & helped us settled in. Having arrived late, Christof arranged dinner reservations at a great restaurant around the corner. I will only stay at the Hotel Concorde in Munich from now on!!!

Review 7:An easy quick stroll to Marienplatz. Reception staff were very helpful. Beds were comfortable. The best shower In Europe so far-great pressure, temperature and roomy. I would stay here again on my next visit to Munich.

Review 8:Great location, very nice staff and realy great breakfest! We coud relax and slowly star the day during our weekend trip. Hotel was clean and comfortable even if the room was small. Short walk for Weinachtsmarkt in Marienplatz

Review 9:This was the most uncomfortable cramped room I've ever seen. Beds are terrible. I stayed the rest of my visit at the platzl and it was 3 times the hotel at a lower price.

Review 10:Location. That's it.

Review 11:Staff at reception are brilliant, very friendly, happy to tell you about local attractions. Gave us a map of the area and detailed where the different Christmas markets were and the local supermarket. Lovely spacious room, very clean and well presented. We had a suite (which I would recommend in the winter months as you have enough room for your bulky clothes and boots). Continental breakfast was good, fresh and warm. Lovely restaurants and bars near by. Great location, far enough away so its quiet but only a couple of streets to the town hall, shops, bars and restaurants.

Review 12:The location of the hotel is great. All the places of interest is within a few minutes by walk. The variety of food for breakfasts is not very wide but the quality of all the food is high. The personal always is ready to help.

Review 13:The bed was too hard for a three night stay. The room also rather on the small side and hotel unable to meet our request for a larger room Didnt manage to get wifi on my note book all time there inspite of assistance from reception.

Review 14:Centrally located for the sights of munich and the christmas markets. Clean rooms, lovely breakfasts

Review 15:Noisy dinning room for breakfast. All hard surfaces og kitchen staff who constantly was thowing clean cutlery in plastic boxes near the guests. No bacon..

Review 16:Friendly nice staff, clean rooms, good interior quality. good location.

Review 17:Nothing bad, all good.

Review 18:Very good location in central Munich, not too bad to get to by car, and walking distance from Marienplatz, railway station etc. Nice room with decent bathroom. Breakfast is quite good. Friendly staff. This time the car park lift worked! Having a car park in such a central hotel is a bonus, although last time we got stuck as the lift failed (hotel paid for a taxi for long distance while they fixed the lift)

Review 19:It was a little bit noisy at morning to listen sounds of cleaning from corridor.

Review 20:Location, new - Internet in room! Very good staff at reception! Very nice to see children going to school at morning on the street!

Review 21:The tiniest room ever. In the breakfest there was only one waitress so 80% of the tables were dirty and everyone had to wait for a clean table.

Review 22:Perfect location for good price, cheap garage.

Review 23:the bathroom is little. We would like a little bar with coffe (coffemachine) and sandwiches, some cake.

Review 24:near to old city and it was very clean nice breakfastroom and choise of breakfast.

Review 25:room had very poor facilities like no plug sockets near mirror for doing hair, bathroom and room tiny, they have no double rooms only twin beds that push together but this was never stated online. Breakfast was very poor stale pastries and hardly any choice no cooked breakfast, coffee disgusting

Review 26:Location very central and room very clean

Review 27:We booked two standard rooms two months in advance. And both of themwere arranged at the basement level. Yes, it's at the basementlevel. Our rooms are right next to the storage room and public toilet. If you would like to sleep next to a public toilet, I highly recommendyou to choose this "perfectly awful" 4 star hotel. I rate itminus 4 starWe asked the front desk agent to switch rooms for us, since there are standard rooms from 1st floor to the 5th floor. She said sorry, the rooms are fully booked and they assigned rooms like that because they want to arrange two quiet rooms near each other for us. Definitely those rooms are quiet, because those rooms are in the basement level!!!! However, we have 4 extremely heavy luggages(more than 25 kg) and there is NO ELEVATOR to the basement level. What a great news!!!! By the way, there is no concierge at all. Thus we asked the agent can we switch at least one of our rooms and the answer was denied. The agent said she could help with luggage, otherwise there is nothing she can do but sorry. Well, I'm a young man and I won't need a fifty-year old lady to help me with luggage. Meanwhile, sorry doesn't help at all or make us feel better, because she has no intention to help. I personally worked at Front Office of hotel for a few years as manager. I have a clear idea what does fully booked mean. I assume the hotel assigned rooms for each guest, since the hotel is small. Whereas, some of the guest may have not arrived yet, there must be some space to switch. She didn't even look at the computer. Yes, She didn't even try to help us, with her stubborn, mean face. I guest she didn't learn how to smile in the her previous fifty years. This was the reason we were extremely mad.

Review 28:The location was very good and the staff I met at check-out werenice and helpful. However, the downside of the say was the worst Ihave ever had

Review 29:Typical European hotel room - small with no drawer space at all. Continental breakfast okay but with no change at all from day to day.

Review 30:Ideal location to train station, restaurants, and pedestrian shopping mall. 2 min to train station or restaurants, 5 min to shopping area.

Review 31:overall is quite good and value for money when doing promotion

Review 32:1. good location:very close to Isartor station, just a few minutes to marienz and a Chinese food just 1minute walk and food delicious 2. staff speak English well and nice 3. good wifi connection

Review 33:The third bed was a very, very hard sofa bed that pulled out. It was very uncomfortable. Ask for several comforters to soften your night's sleep.

Review 34:The size, and style of the room was great. The bathroom, with both a shower and stand alone tub was phenomenal. The hotel was easily accessible by s-bahn to both the city's center and the train station. Much easier to navigate than I expected.

Review 35:Tiny room , no aircon, no safe, minimal TV channels, basic breakfast with yellow powdered egg almost set hard, in spite of confirmation of early check in it was not available on arrival - hefty price tag - at that level there are a lot of better hotels in Munich !

Review 36:Very well situated close to the action but relatively quiet.

Review 37:Facilities: hotel is suppose to be a 4 stars and does not have air con! My room was boiling, I complaint and the receptionist did not apologize, only said the day after would rain and get colder. I felt stupid because I was talking my parents away and decided to book this hotel as the reviews were great, my experience was awful. Breakfast: poor for a 4 stars hotel, only bread and few fruits Staff: overall they were friendly, apart from the gentleman at the reception, extremely rude and even when he took my payment at the end his face was not welcoming, I could see people did not like his attitude. He really needs some training. Comfort: such a terrible pillow, massive and not comfortable. On the top of the temperature in the room, one of the worst nights I have ever had.

Review 38:Location is great

Review 39:The basement rooms don't have elevator, carry luggages are quite hard.

Review 40:The employees are very helpfull. Very near the subway station and downtown area.

Review 41:Staff were mediocre. Breakfast was average compared to other breakfast buffets with room rates and fees similar.

Review 42:The location was great for walking around town. Close to train stop. One bock away from parking garage.

Review 43:Staff is distant but accommodative. Room was tiny, I mean tiny , for the price. No air conditioning.

Review 44:The location is very good. Parking is tight but Ok. Breakfast was good.

Review 45:1. I have asked for a room in a high floor, and got the basement. I was told that it is because I have booked for 2 nights. This is not the kind of answer I have expected. 2. The breakfast could be bit better

Review 46:Loved everything!

Review 47:The staff at the front desk were so accommodating. We flew in early and he provided us ( two couples) with complimentary cappuccino and expresso. Very friendly. Gave great tips on where to go. Plus they had parking!!!!

Review 48:It was extremely hot in Munich during my stay and there was no AC, only a small fan. The room was like a sauna. Since my room's window opened to the street, I could Not open my window very much.

Review 49:Location & free, although adventurous, parking.

Review 50:1. Front desk staff was either unavailable or seemed bothered when needed. This was true for all four desk clerks we encountered over a 3-day stay, so I ascribe this problem to the hotel, not the individuals. 2. No air conditioning.

Review 51:Location is great.

Review 52:It advertise Sky tv BUT ITS IN GERMAN no good for young children not even sky news, feel like thy was misold to us

Review 53:Very clean most staff great great location

Review 54:No tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Having arrived late as a weary traveller, I wanted a hot drink and couldn't have one as there is no room service either. I realise you get what you pay for but even a cheaper B&B would have had a kettle.

Review 55:no air conditioning in rooms, which was bad in August, rooms are tight

Review 56:good spot if you want to be near Marienplatz and other local attractions, staff is awesome and very helpful, underground parking available

Review 57:Small bathroom. Reception staff not particularly friendly or helpful.

Review 58:Great location. Very good breakfast included in the room rate. Breakfast staff friendly and helpful.

Review 59:staff not very friendly at all. paid for suite - could not swing a cat in it - no space at all no room temp control or air conditioning so couldn't sleep as too hot no tea/coffee making facilities Room was not ready on time - after long drive had to wait and hour

Review 60:Location was good - very central - breakfast was fine but not great

Review 61:room is very small and has no AC, we stayed on the last floor, not possible to relax when outside is above +30C. Hotel parking is suited only for small cars.

Review 62:Location, location, location

Review 63:Good reliable service. room and breakfast. Excellent location for our 24 hour stopover in terms of seeing the main sites as it is located just a few minutes from the Fruenkirche, Alte Raathaus and Viktuelmarkt.

Review 64:it was too hot and poor ventilation in the room. it was also too noisy because facing to the street. . We can't slept well during the whole night.

Review 65:The only downside was the wifi, which was very spotty.

Review 66:The location was great! The facilities were surprisingly spacious and comfortable. Very clean. Staff was helpful and pleasant.

Review 67:Just about everything to do with quality of product.

Review 68:Everything is just, just. No wash cloth provided ons continental pillow per bed. No house keeping service after 7 pm. Very good location but giving bare minimum of what is expected.

Review 69:Help your self, if you need an iron you have to go to front desk and they will give you. No AC, there is only small fan. You can't add your drink in the mini-bar, the refrigerator only for the hotel drink. The is a kindergarten front of the hotel and it is noisy in morning.

Review 70:Location and front desk

Review 71:Room was very small. No air conditioning was disappointing for a 4 star hotel - especially in July.

Review 72:Very friendly staff. Good breakfast. Clean. Great location.

Review 73:It was hot and humid while we were in Munich (late July) and without air conditioning our room on the 2nd floor was somewhat uncomfortable (even with the window open and a fan running). Breakfast was included in the cost of the room but the selection of items was very limited.

Review 74:The location was great; within easy walking distance to food, shopping, etc.

Review 75:Disappointed that there was not air conditioning considering how hot it was during our stay. Our son's room was on the front of the hotel and because they did not have air conditioning the windows had to be open. There is a school across from the hotel and they were awakened by car doors slamming and the sound of children.

Review 76:Weather was very warm, and no air conditioning though there was a fan, which we had on continuously in the room, but room was uncomfortable.

Review 77:Location was great, staff very helpful. Very clean and great wifi

Review 78:One major drawback was the lack of air conditioning in the bedroom. A fan is provided but when the temperature is over 30 outside, this is not enough. Do not be put off though.

Review 79:The highlight of the hotel is that it is located right in the centre of Munich and still is very tranquil. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room, small but fine. This is a great place to stay. Thank you for your welcome

Review 80:No AC in the room and we've catch very hot days for Munich!!!

Review 81:The location was very good! Right in the center of Munich , close to Deutsches Museum , and other atractions !

Review 82:We happened to be there during 90 degree temps during the day and there was no air conditioning.

Review 83:Hotel was conveniently located near Isator station and walking distance to Marienplatz. Breakfast was of great quality and fresh.

Review 84:Left after 2 night of sweltering; only a fan. Woud have gone sooner but had to forfeit a night. Apparently 4* in Germany didn't necessarily include AC but I easily located one that did. Overall very disappointing.

Review 85:No air conditioning and extremely small shower couldn't shave my legs! To be fair we were there during an extreme heat wave but Americans accustomed to AC be aware! Also do not be placed in a room near the the school next door if your windows are open too many loud kinder!

Review 86:Perfect location and free breakfast

Review 87:No air conditioning in the rooms. No laundry facilities. No kettle or coffee maker in the room.

Review 88:Excellent Location. Suite style with 2 bathrooms. Excellent free WIFI in all hotel, one time log in. High quality and options breakfast included.

Review 89:The big question, how does this hotel got 4 stars? - here is no double beds for family couples - beds were uncomfortably drawn together - nasty smells from toilet - old sanitary engineering in bath - inconvenient placing furniture in a small room - no free bottle of water near beds (at reception 5 euro 1,5 litres) - no bath accessories: cotton pads, body lotion etc. - poor room service (not clean and not tidy) - meager breakfast for maximum 2 stars - small sized room and bath How does this hotel got 4 stars? Bad choice. Never come back.

Review 90:6 min walking to Marienplatz, central location is the only good feature

Review 91:small room, one of the staff is so impolite,he was unwilling to offer us hot water, and told us that only hot water in the bathroom,is he seriously to ask customers to drink from bathroom?he is the most impolite man I've ever seen in hotel staffs.

Review 92:good location,breakfast,nice staff except one,clean

Review 93:one of the receptionist really makes us uncomfortable,he was unwilling to offer us hotwater, told us no have and only hot water in the bathroom, I think it's so rude to ask customers to drink water from bathroom!

Review 94:good location, just 2 mins walk to Isartor subway station, 5-10 mins walk to Karlplaze and Marienplatz; small but tidy room;delicious breakfast;staffs are all very nice except one

Review 95:The suite is rather small. We needed to move when we extended our stay and found the triple room more comfortable. Pillows too small/thin and no extras available.

Review 96:The location is near Hofbrauhaus, Marienplatz, Glockenspiel and the Alt Stadt was great. Walking distance to many great german-style restaurants, and most other popular cuisines. Convenient parking. Excellent breakfast!

Review 97:There are insects come out from the shower head everytime we want to shower and the hotel doesnt provide electric kettle.the wifi connection is not stable in the room so I hv to go to lobby to get better connection.

Review 98:Location of the hotel is good. Close to shopping streets and very near to city tax refund office and its convenient to go to hotel by train from airport.

Review 99:Rooms are comfortable, but doesn't match 4 star rating. Quite outdated and most importantly there is no cooling and rooms were quite stuffy due to no air circulation. Weather was only low to mid 20s, if it was warmer the rooms would be pretty hot.

Review 100:Location was perfect - short stroll to Marienplatz. Lots of places to eat and drink. Breakfast was good - standard for a place without restaurant. Rooms were ok and very clean.

Review 101:Nothing

Review 102:The staff were immediately welcoming even though we were very early & travelling with backpacks after 24 hours of flights and stop overs. They spoke good English and had a special bathroom area where we could freshen up and leave our luggage until the room was ready. Excellent service throughout the entire stay. Breakfast was good as well. Wifi good.

Review 103:very small room for two speerate grown men

Review 104:The helpful staff & excellent location to the metro and old town and roadway - easy to get to by all means of transportation

Review 105:Housekeeping staff was not available after mid day. Lobby and dining halls were not according to the hotel rating

Review 106:Super location, large room size & bathroom layout and friendly reception staff

Review 107:The bed was very uncomfortable. Breakfast had not much variety. No coffee maker in the room. No air conditioning in the room.

Review 108:Staff was welcoming and efficient

Review 109:Hotel just next to HB, closed to the downtown and shopping centre. walking distance to Altes Rathaus within 10 mins. Breakfask is good, room is not big but enought for 2 ppl with 2 large luggage (28" and 30").

Review 110:Staff were extremely polite & helpful.Breakfast was very good with good choices....something for everyone.Immaculate & clean.Easy walking to restaurants,English garden & interests. All better than we expected.

Review 111:I've booked this hotel with my Visa card. Then I've just arrived to the hotel I paid cash. Next day money from my card was taken. In Concord personnel promised me that my money will be back to my account during 7 days. But nothing happens. So I've paid double price.

Review 112:The photo of the room to be booked reported on booking are not real, the room shown is a suite even if you are looking for a standard room. The results is that you don't find what you have seen on booking

Review 113:- I would suggest that all rooms would include a kettle for tea/coffee/hot chocolate making - Lack of air condition.

Review 114:- Great location in old town (S-train stop also very close) - Clean rooms - Friendly staff - Good breakfast (It was also served for us when we left to airpoir very early!! :) - Wifi worked well, at least in our room in the first floor

Review 115:Beds hard as a rock and very old rough sheets with massive amounts of piling. The room is tiny and difficult to maneuver in if you have a suitcase.

Review 116:Location

Review 117:The guy across our room was very loud, was skyping with someone with his door wide open early Sunday morning and smoking in the room.

Review 118:The location was very convenient, the room small but cozy. I liked the design of the lobby and the breakfast room. Everyone was friendly.

Review 119:I booked a comfort room with the tick "upper floor" on the site but when we arrived receptionist told us that they have comfort rooms on the ground floor only . Additionally there was not any safe in the "comfort room" and the smell was not good. They offered me another room on the 4th floor. It was standard one. I accepted as there was not any other options but I was surprised that the hotel charged me for the rate of comfort room. So I stayed in standard room but paid for comfort one. I argued but it was useless. The second point the hotel does not allow to keep your personal stuff in the fridge located in your room. One day I didn't find my things in my room! The small note "the minibar is only for drinks and snacks from the hotel. In case of further disregard you will be charged for 20 euro"! They returned my stuff when I said that would go to the police. The third. When we checked out and left our stuff in the laggage room there was a note that the hotel is not responsible for the laggage left in this room. It is 4 star hotel. Do I need to say that the breakfast is very poor?

Review 120:location

Review 121:the evening person (I wish I got her name) was always so cheerful and quick to help. we loved her recommendation for a nice german meal. the location of the hotel couldn't have been more perfect for our short visit -- it was just a very short walk to everything we wanted to do and see! the room was simple but immaculate. the breakfast had a large selection and dining area well decorated and very pleasant.

Review 122:Something which I guess I'm used to is free wifi, when I stay in a hotel. But you have to pay to use the wifi there.

Review 123:It was a lovely stay in munich, the hotel was very good. The staff were friendly and always around to help. The room was nice and big with everything we needed, bed was comfy. Breakfast had a great variety and even when the dining area was very busy, they set up a couple of tables in the seating area to help with overflow. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from Marienplatz and some smaller markets. It is in an area surrounded by some lovely restaurants. I would happily spend another weekend in this hotel to visit the christmas market next year, or even just for a weekend in munich

Review 124:Double room seemed to be just two twin beds pushed together, separate duvets etc. (Although that could be a positive!). No free wifi/internet is unfortunate. Wifi internet access is provided by Telekom.de it is 5 euros a day, or 20 euros for a week unless you have a valid roaming partner/Telekom account.

Review 125:Good friendly staff, nice clean and simple rooms. The buffet breakfast was fairly extensive and nice. Hotel provides for luggage storage. Located very close to the 'Old' City centre and shopping district, very close to the Christmas Markets.

Review 126:No coffee or tea making facility in room or from vending machine/bar so had to go out to get a hot drink.

Review 127:Good central location, very quiet, good breakfasts and cleanliness.

Review 128:Wi-fi was not included. 10 dollars per user per night. Parking was limited, and not included. Parking garage was close but was approx. 30 USD per day. Desk help was neither friendly nor helpful.

Review 129:Location was good, easy walk to Marienplatz. Breakfast was great.

Review 130:Facilities were poor; no tea and coffee making facilities in room, no bar, breakfast selection and quality poor, some staff unfriendly and unhelpful. Room temperature not consistent, either too hot or too cold.

Review 131:Room was spacious and clean and the hotel location excellent for the main Christmas market.

Review 132:Only a small meeting area by reception , no bar, average breakfast, third bed in our triple room was a small sofa bed, hard and uncomfortable , reception couldn't book a restaurant for us

Review 133:Very clean, we fortunately had one of the larger rooms

Review 134:The fact that the hotel does not cater for lunch or at least dinner.

Review 135:I enjoyed the comfort and cleanliness given the fact that I travelled with my wife and 3 year old toddler.

The Fine Print
