Reviews for Acacia Dahab Hotel

Review 1:The internet did not work in our hotel room during our entire stay, and the hotel restaurant played terribly loud music until 4:30am one night, which kept us awake.

Review 2:I don't think their wi-fi works.

Review 3:The staff and service are phenomenal. I'm a traveler and no one has ever gone that far to make me feel so comfortable, including Ahmed Jad at the reception desk, Yossri and Yasser in the restaurant, and the manager. Although our stay was cheap, we still got upgrades and special favors without infamous tipping in Egypt. It felt like visiting family and friends. These guys know how to do their jobs.

Review 4:Small shower

Review 5:We asked for late checkout, they let us stay until 7pm and only charged us 100LE. Very nice staff, great value for money. The pool was great!

Review 6:Their airport transfer is expensive ($40usd) but it is a long way from the airport to dahab

Review 7:Great staff who were always willing to help. Lovely pool and only 5 minutes from the middle of the seaside 'strip'. Plenty of things to do and places to eat nearby

Review 8:It is not a 4-star hotel, not even close. Cockroaches crawling from bathroom are completely unacceptable, furniture is pretty old and very simple, small bathroom with small douche-cabin, wi-fi reception in rooms could've been better, no complimentary shampoo, shower gel. All of the above makes price/quality very bad, especially for Dahab.

Review 9:Staff is very friendly and nice, swimming pool looks good, pool (billiard) table is in relativly good condition, "towel art" always very creative.

Review 10:Its too far from the city centre. The breakfast is very poor. Pictures showed a buffet but instead we got a set menu and when we asked for eggs we got litteraly 1 egg each. You can only ask for 1 cup of coffee... The pool is too small. The hot water lasted 5 minutes, and the shower was too small with the curtain stiking on ur skin.

Review 11:The staff was friendly

Review 12:The lamp light in the room is way cold.

Review 13:Very nice place to stay! Quiet, fancy decorated, clean rooms. And, of course, very hearted staff! Super relaxing downtempo oriental tunes in the evening at the beach.

Review 14:Very friendly hotel and diving center close to the center of Dahab. Located in a quiet place within walking distance from the center. Great friendly staff makes everything to make you feel at home. I hope to come back here to relax and dive.

Review 15:Nothing , all good

Review 16:Beds were extremely comfortable , the whole place was spotless , staff were brilliant & friendly & helpful , room for our family was huge !!

Review 17:Requests made at booking were not fulfilled. I did not receive the double bed I asked for. The so called private terrace was nothing but a tiled step with no furniture. I asked for room change but it never happened even though they said they contact me. food service was slow at times. I decided to date and drink elsewhere.

Review 18:Fairly private but can be loud in the mornings.

Review 19:In all honesty nothing.

Review 20:As many of the other reviews have mentioned the staff are amazing, they helped to create a wonderful holiday for us in Dahab, we actually stayed another 4 nights in this hotel. There is a good variety for breakfast and all the facilities you would require in a Dahab hotel. We liked the fact it was not directly in the centre of Dahab also (only 5 mins walk). We would definitely stay in this hotel again.

Review 21:the rooms is very small specially the bathroom. many cats and dogs in the area.

Review 22:The staff is very friendly and they do their best to serve the guest. very good breakfast and the meals are cheap.

Review 23:- The pool is pretty small.- the hotel is under-staffed to respond to clients' needs (i.e. to order food, drink or shisha, you need to wait for a long time...you get served but still.) - the hotel differentiates and modifies its food offer, notably the breakfast, depending on the number of guests (I was told so clearly), this is for sure not acceptable. i.e. the first day we had a full and tasty buffet breakfast. the second day, the restaurant was closed and there was no buffet. we were proposed to order a small and untasty breakfast from the menu, and it took almost 45 min to get the breakfast (piece of bread, jam, coffee for the continental breakfast). That is why I decided to stop my stay there and to leave. When comparing the price of the hotel and what you get from it, it is genuinely over-priced and the hotel cannot afford to maintain that level of room price for so few or poor services. A 4* or 5* hotel in Sharm el Sheikh is similarly priced or less expensive in comparison to Acacia...(that is where I chose to go to get the services I paid for in theory).

Review 24:The hotel is for sure clean, nice and more 'sophisticated' thanthe majority of the small hotels located in dahab village, meaninglocated inside the village. (There are some stars-ranked hotels butoutside of the village, not convenient for travelers willing to move andwander). In some words: the place is nice and rather quiet, but dahab isa bit under the weather (although cute), it changes the whole stay.

Review 25:Staff kindness and availability was over the top, since we did the check in till the check out, we felt like home :). We had to do a very late check out due to diving activities and no extra charge was requested. We just spend over the weekend but intend to be back every time we return to Dahab to dive. Hotel is very well located being very easy to reach any point of the Villa, either by the main street or beach side walk.

Review 26:My wife and I had our honeymoon in Acacia for 4 days and it was our best days as a beginning of our honeymoon. As soon as we arrived we had a very warm welcome and full information about the hotel facilities and activities along with the area. Friendly stuff provided us with the best honeymoon treatment ever . The quality of the service and food was wonderful . The hotel's interior and outdoor is very cosy and welcoming. The stuff is extremely helpful and informative . All the activities are available within the hotel or easily arranged by any stuff. We have had the best and the best time in Dahab thanks to wonderful stuff of sweet and cosy ACACIA . The location is easily reachable and perfectly located in the heart of Dahab.

Review 27:Staff were fantastic, nothing was a problem and all warm, friendly and welcoming.

Review 28:The bathroom

Review 29:We liked the pool and the atmosphere.

Review 30:Bathrooms were tiny..fridges were a little bit rusty and ac's weren't well kept

Review 31:Approximity to main sites yet still very calm and quiet

Review 32:Nothing

Review 33:Causy

Review 34:Best town hotel and best staff and diving center, had a really good time

Review 35:Some guests may prefer a hotel with a heating swimming pools (particularly for the kids). My credit card was charged twice at the end of our stay! Despite many emails, and more than a month passing, I have STILL NOT BEEN REFUNDED MY MONEY!!!! BEWARE!!!! I am over 1000USD out of pocket

Review 36:My family recently stayed in the lovely resort of Dahab at New Year. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our stay very much.

Review 37:Almost everything - staff couldn't do enough for us, great location, excellent room, very well serviced. Everything we wanted was organized with care. The dive center was great as well.

Review 38:The price for the car to Sharm El Sheikh airport was more expensive than others, but given they'd allowed me to check in early and leave late, decided to pay the extra. It was a good car too.

Review 39:I was allowed to check in early (8am) and allowed to have breakfast too! Certainly started my stay in a positive way. Also allowed a late check out (5pm) to tie in with my flight back to Cairo from Sharm El Sheikh. The whole place was clean and well run.

Review 40:Been to Egypt many times and find small hotels tend to be a bit pricey for what you get.

Review 41:Staff very helpful and kind; location, cleanliness all excellent. You can get more value from a five star multinational but if you don't want to feel 'packaged' then this is a good option.

Review 42:The shower cubicle was tiny, in the end we tied back the shower curtain and put towels on the floor to stop the water. Our room only had one very small frosted window to let in daylight, we had to have the lights on all the time. Not what you'd expect from one of the more expensive hotels in Dahab. Insist in having one of the rooms facing the sea with a balcony.

Review 43:The hotel was clean and the staff friendly. The different animals made from the towels by the cleaning staff were always entertaining. The pool area was well looked after.

Review 44:Not one thing!

Review 45:We loved everything about The Acacia. The staff were amazing. I will be back in Dahab in a couple of months and will definitely be staying there again. Thanks to everyone at The Acacia for making our stay in Dahab such a great one.

Review 46:Teeny tiny shower with a shower curtain that would let our floor get all wet.

Review 47:Beachfront cafe. Very friendly facilitation of all our trips and adventures. Private sea/pool-facing balcony.

Review 48:Good location for a short stroll to the main drag in Dahab. Very clean hotel, nice staff, comfortable rooms. You can either exit from the front into the main street, or to the rear on to the sea front. I changed rooms because I wanted a balcony, and this was a more spacious and brighter room.

Review 49:The bathroom was... Awkward - the toilet was so close to the sink I hadto "slide in" to sit down, and the shower curtain was tooshort so the bathroom floor was always saturated (minor things given theoverall quality of the room).

Review 50:Almost everything - the room was great and had a spectacular viewincluding the Red Sea and Saudi Arabia in the background. The staffcould not be more helpful or friendly. I would definitely choose thishotel again.

Review 51:The pick up from the airport was a bit of a miss on their part and the collection for our departure was delayed by 30 mins which could have made us miss our flight.

Review 52:Lovely hotel and lovely and very helpful staff. Well located too.

Review 53:The beach bar was a bit dirty and constantly occupied by cats, dogs and flies- but the breakfast was good!

Review 54:Very clean hotel and rooms; helpful staff; beautiful view of the pool and sea from the balcony.

Review 55:Noisy, particulalry the downstairs rooms Lack of hot water in the shower

Review 56:Helpful staff Great location Yummy breakfasts Nice pool (although a bit cold)

Review 57:The bathroom was tiny which wasn't too much of a problem but the shower flooded the floor. Hot water ran out quickly so the second person wanting a shower has to wait for it to heat up again, but it is electrically heated so it does heat up.

Review 58:The staff are very good, and solve any problems quickly. Bed was very comfortable and we had a double. Location is great, right in the middle of the town but the pool is still set back enough from the main walkway to keep it peaceful.

Review 59:Everything! We loved it and would go back in an instant.

Review 60:Cats and dogs

Review 61:Friendliness of staff, location and room

Review 62:To longer wait when ordering food.

Review 63:Staff were excellent!

Review 64:the staff was very friendly and helpful

Review 65:the shower was very small

Review 66:staff is very friendly and helpful

Review 67:The pool was cold. No vegetarian burgers!

Review 68:The balcony. The view. The breakfast. Cleanliness. Towel sculptures. The food.

Review 69:Very very friendly staff and excellent atmosphere. Free WIFI. Very good guide service.

Review 70:The best team. They make excellent tour packages. The breakfast is in alovely location. This is the best option in dahabe.
